£60 I purchased a Lada Riva 1500 with 12 months MOT and 3 months tax. I would say turn it in to a track car not a drag car or even an off road big wheel dirt track job.
$200 Mercury Sable my first (road legal) car..had no seat belts, or key. It did have a good e-brake, spray paint dukes of hazard paint job and smiling friends though lmao.
Also I'll buy the mr2 for $500 lol.
Split the shop into two teams. Build both Mr2s as a competition between the shop. At the end have the viewers vote for the winner. 🤘🏻

Why not keep the black interior in the black MR2. Just fix up the black MR2. They both have the same engine. The black MR2 has a little more in it than the blue MR2. The black MR2 also looks to be in better condition. Just a thought. I think that would be a little easier. Good content either way. Love watching the builds.

Eh. I wanna see them build for power, they really have everything turned way down so it remains street able. I'd vote to go K+gtx35, wide body with a bit less aggressive offset. And putting down 700hp+ to the wheels.

Since you’re already stripping the second one, maybe like a track or auto cross build? With a painted interior and maybe a body kit, to fit wider tires and stuff.

I remember seeing a render of a slammed widebody mr2 and thought it was super sick. I feel like people don't always put a lot of work into building these fully, so It would be cool to see a fully modded one; and then maybe for the other one do a simpler oem+ type build.
Clean it up and sell it and put that money toward the blue one.

Hang the carpet upright when spraying with the pressure washer. All the dirty water will run down and off. Then I use a car ice scraper to "squeegee" the soaked carpet. Makes everything faster and easier.
Make the newest MR2 a rally car, sounds like something fun and you guys don’t have many rally things in your garage, may be a good turn for the channel

you should hydro dip the interior parts matte black then have them clear coated. will help bring the old pieces back to life, while giving it a durable finish. maybe even go with an epoxy clear coat.

Gutted track build for the second car.
Put a 3S-GTE in the blue one and fix that one up really nice.
But make a trackcar out of the black one, and may I suggest to put a V6 in there. It's tight in the enginebay, but Woodsport in the UK has specialized putting Camry V6's in these SW20's with great succes. You should be able to pick up Camry engines dirt cheap over there in the US and that should make it a really fun and reliable car to hit the tracks with...

Do 2 types of builds with the cars, keep the original plan with the blue one. And make the black one a track project, maybe put a K20 in it, a roll cage, good seats. The potential is amazing with that platform.

I see many ignorant comments suggesting swaps that can't be done, at least not without tens of thousands of dollars and cutting. My suggestion? Swap in a 2GR. The other guys are already doing a 3SGTE, and I really don't want to see a Honda motor go into this beauty. The 2GR is actually 100lbs LIGHTER than the 3SGTE, sounds great, gives you gobs of torque, and you can put on a TRD Supercharger. It's dead reliable, and you'll get a cut price Lotus Evora.
I wouldn't have strip car I would have used that as my project car and made the other one to some type of track car
If you really want to do something crazy with it, you could attempt to make the first drift specific SW20 (i think first)

Quick tip , I use an windshield ice scrapper on mats and carpets it removes most of the water better that a shop vacuum and quiet too 😂

In Colorado, been looking for an SW20 for a while. Don't have the heart to butcher something clean, looking for a project car. Started watching your channel because of the MR2 and to keep myself motivated. Please, sell me the car before I go out and buy an S2000 off Copart!

Evan should get the Rev3 or newer rear tail lights. They are slightly rounded and make the rear of the car look much nicer.

Build one with the 3SGTE and the other one with a B series/ K swap. Would be great to see a series of both cars competing in track/drag racing as well as comparing the two to figure out which is the superior project.

Put the v6 lump in and supercharge the v6- don’t be shy ☺️ and tbh you might as well do it all to the black one and keep the blue one as standard/spares

I hope you get GTS badges and the turbo engine lid it doesnt leak water on the alternator its 2 piece and has a full removeable shield. Hmu Mick I know these cars. Check the steering rack they go bad. And t top seals are always shit the flatten out and leak causing car piss smell.

I'm a cripple (Hit by a drunk driver a few years ago, screwed everything up) and I've been thinking about starting a youtube channel to show that even with disability anyone can build a show-quality car. I think that's important. If you guys wanted to - I don't know - donate the new MR2, I wouldn't object.

I'd say track car, meaning swap the engine and build it up, bucket seats and race harness and give it a decent pain job or wrap and drive it on a track
