    Dear Ali, honestly, you probably wouldn't expect this sort of comment from a study with me vid, but you've brought me to tears.
    Ever since this quarantine started concentrating on my uni work has been terrible and impossible, and I've been so afraid of failing because I couldn't get myself to do any work. But here this video was, popped up in my recommended, I played it, and miraculously got 3 hours of work done. First time in ages. Thank you for giving me some confidence and hope back, Ali.
    And happy studying, thank you.

      Same for me. It's such a relief. Just having someone working concentrated on a screen next to you is not the same as sitting in the library, but it still helps.

    Hey Ali, thanks for replying to my email. Rather I should call you Sir Ali because you are senior to me. It was really helpful. I did not expect you to reply to a high school student, but you did. This shows how genuine and loyal you are about whatever you say. That reply really lifted my spirits and encouraged me that everything is possible. I will definitely work hard on my studies. Thank you so much Ali. You will always be my inspiration.

    Aftermath: Most productive 3.5 hours of my life :P
    Surprisingly calming to have someone to do studying with. Also did 150 pushups total in the breaks and drank 1.5 liters of water.

      i know this comment is 3 months old, BUT you shouldn't this is not only a waste of time but you will not be able to focus in the next day, Sleeping is one of the most important aspects in studying and even if you sleep in the morning it won't fix it humans have a default circadian rhythm you can change your circadian rhythm but it won't be as good as the default the default circadian rhythm is sleeping between 8-10 PM and waking up between 4-6 AM which is 8 hours of sleep if you start sleeping like this you will feel more refreshed and focused when you wake up.

  • @lumi2642
    @lumi2642 4 года назад +28

    Ali, you might've seen me commenting on your videos recently. But I can't help but say I'm impressed with how much effort you put into your content and to your fans and followers. I wonder how or why you started making RUclips videos all of a sudden, but regardless I am glad to have found you at my lowest point in my life. Hitting rock bottom just before 2020 started and it has been a journey ever since. Probably this comment is going to be overlooked, but I felt the need to let you know. A few videos in and you started talking about Notion, I tried it myself and it's honestly game changing. You were right. It is a good tool for students and teachers alike.
    With all that being said, I only hope to grasp the good things from your videos and be able to apply them effectively. Granted I can't really keep up with that lifestyle you have, I enjoy too many little things in life to actually ignore them. And I know you don't either, but your priorities are definitely set and I understand that. For me, I prioritize other things and I'm not saying their bad but I can't forget all the good times I had with my friends and I just want to keep having more. I know I have the rest of my life to share with them. I know I could possible finish college before any of them do. But in the last 2 years I've lost 4 friends with whom I spent plentiful time with them, and... it felt as if it was too short of the time I did. I'm scared of not being able to have those moments anymore, so I'm trying to find the balance with myself, my work and college, my family, and my friends.
    I'm sorry for writing so much, but this is all to say how I've been watching your videos to slowly pick myself up. And for anyone, if anyone, reading this I tell you that it is possible to get out of whatever place your in. Talk to the people you trust and love, the people you spend time with. It only takes one video or one person to actually want to change your life. Don't let this take over, YOU are worth everything anyone can ever give you. No matter how little. No matter how much.
    This is for anyone who has felt abandoned or stuck. We're here. You are worth. Aspire for greater things, be the change you want to be.

To me I try to listen to music either from Thomas playlist or some study music on Spotify, they sometimes work, sometimes I'll be doing my work and not taking anything in. I'm a college student and what got me to do my work is seeing others working/studying which will inspired me to get things done. I never thought pulling up a video of someone working will get me to stay focus but it did, thanks for making this 3 hour video that I've haven't finish because of work but will finish it some time tomorrow.

    hey ali, you will probably never see this but if you do I want to thank you for making this. this helped a ton during the weeks when I had no self motivation to work. I wanted to request you to make a new version of this. same thing but just an updated version if you can. 3.5 hours is a lot of time and the editing would be a pain in the but and I understand that. I am sure there are many like me who would love a "study with me " session for the finals week.

      He was not born this way. He sure had a context which helped him, but he also had to learn to become like that. So are other people who did nit necessarily grow up in such an environment but still managed to become studious. Its like any habit; it needs time and should be built gradually. A little everyday so that it is easy to bear, and once it becomes a habit you can study some more. There are books and videos about how to build habits, avoid procrastination (which is normal to a certain extent), and avoid distractions.

    I used that video as background for my study session these last 2 days. I had to submit a paper and I was so behind, so much to do and the subject was way too complicated. I submitted it one minute before the deadline and I am pretty happy with it. A lot had to do with the concentration that the music brought (the energy of the coffee helped too). Anyway thanks :) I hope to see others of this format, I know that some study with me videos exist but It's complicated to find someone with whom you like to study :)
