    Yes you need it 😉 Protip: reroute the data connector so it comes out near the bars so you don’t have to remove the headlight mask to connect it.

      Yeah, I don't plan on adjusting it often so left the wiring in place.

    Thank you the excellent review with real demonstrated symptoms and results . I need a TSP ERM for my TBI EC300 GG. I have what feels like a lean condition at 3/4 to full throttle .I cant wait to have this amount of tuning control.

    Thanks for the review ! I have my ERM, premix conversion kit and new reeds on my workbench for this weekends project on my 24 TE 250. Everything it fixed on yours is what I want to clear up on mine. Just want it smooth, it doesn’t need more power.

      Yes, that's why I didn't get the head as well, I think just the ERM will accomplish what I'm looking for.

    I have one on each of my TBI's. High comp heads as well. With the electric power valve, the ERM is a great tool to change the character of the bike quickly and easily.

    Made a huge difference on my 24 300 xcw. I’ve noticed the fuel economy got better also.

    My new 2025 300xcw has that. And it’s driving me crazy. Like you said. 3rd gear ok. But Vedder. Usually in 2nd while time. That studder drives me nutz. I definitely need to buy this erm.
    Thanks for that. 👍🏆

      Yeah, the more slow riding you do, the more noticeable it is.

    I couldn’t stand the off-idle stutter on my 24 TE300. I got the ERM and have never regretted it. If you use the preprogrammed “leaner” option of the TSP map, your fuel economy will increase significantly (like 20%). That’s what I run and haven’t noticed any indication that it was too lean, and it runs even cleaner off the bottom and still lugs like a freight train. It only takes 15 seconds to reprogram, and if you don’t like it you can easily change it back.

    Definitely need to add this to my 2024 300 XC-W. I’ve got the TSP high compression head. I kind of did my performance gain backwards without knowing. I should’ve done the TSP ERM first…. And if that wasn’t enough then done the TSP high compression head.

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  15 часов назад +1

      Yes, I felt the ERM would make the bike run how I wanted without the head and so farm I'm happy with it.

    Beautiful trails & love that hi-def video! GoPro Hero11Black is it? Have u noticed less fouling of plugs and less spooge out the back with the new tune ?

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  15 часов назад +1

      DJI Action 5 Pro. GoPro is dead to me LOL. I have about 65 hours on the bike and have never fouled a plug. Spooge is minimal and looks to be about the same on the new tune.

    • @g_dawwg
      @g_dawwg 15 часов назад

      @ I think ur getting 54-50/50*100=8% better fuel economy with the new tune which I think is significant! Thnx for sharing ur awesome vid!

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  14 часов назад +1

      Original tune average between 50-55km before fuel light came on, so no change with new tune so far.

    I just picked up an ERM for my 24 TX300, no head. I'm hoping the "Hard Enduro" map on white will give me that smooth, tractable, TE/XC-W type power on the single track while keeping the green map in reserve for the faster sand double track we have

    No going back! so much more fun to ride... I routed my diag port up behind the bars for quick access... but not some big win as I've only re-mapped it twice ;)

    * TSP ERM from Australia 🇦🇺 😉
    Great product, and works great. 👍
    What a shame that KTM don't offer a box like this with the bike the same way Yamaha does with their EFI Power Tuner.

      Agree, free tuning with an app on your phone with Yamaha.

    Great review, like being able to do back to the original tune. What do you think the splutter is ? a rich or lean condition?

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  15 часов назад

      It's definitely rich.

    My question is why do they come from the factory like that in the first place ? So the after market can make money too , not cool ktm.

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  15 часов назад +2

      I think it must be emissions related.

    • @onthethrottle7104
      @onthethrottle7104 4 часа назад

      You mean, why don't they come from the factory? Well, because you don't need it. Most guys that are not pro or even anywhere near pro level don't need it. I cleans up a little bit of tuning and changes the timing and fueling. Do you need it? No. Does it work pretty well? It depends who you are and if you spend money when you don't need to. It's a great product and everything TSP offers is top quality...but you don't 'need' it. It' is not going to make you a better rider or get you places you could not go before. Hope that helps.

    TSP A Great Aussie company ! I think its an emissions thing for KTM need to abide by, smaller companies less bikes made do not..

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  11 часов назад

      I think you are right about the emissions.

    The ECU's are so inconsistent between several of us having a 23 or 24 Husky or KTM. If it's running bottom end crappy, it takes time and money to figure out. Several new owners swear their new bikes run run perfect needing no mods. I didn't get one of those.

  • @whiskeythrottledave

    My '25 TE300 runs quite crisp without erm, but there is tons of spoog coming out of exhaust. More than any of my other tbi or tpi bikes.

    did you add or plan to add the TSP power valve cover?

  • @painsrides
    @painsrides 5 часов назад

    I mostly ride single-track and I don't race, so I don't care about how powerful a 250 or 300 2t can be made... But having improved smooth, tractable power sounds great. The thing is, everyone in our crew, myself included that rides a current TBI bike loves the way the bikes run and no one ever complains about tractability. So for recreational riders out for fun every weekend is something like this TSP worth the money? Nice review but I'm going to take a pass on the product.

    Great review...do you know what the cost is to purchase additional maps?

    • @leviw.
      @leviw. 11 часов назад

      The ERM is locked to a single bike and costs $150 AUD to transfer (requires restoring old bike to stock), or $350 AUD to reset (pair with a new bike).

  • @lacemi
    @lacemi 42 минуты назад

    It should be a service paid by Husqvarna or KTM Group, just like Yamaha allows you to change maps for free from your mobile. It seems like a very expensive product for amateur users, and I think it’s shameful and an abuse of the consumer to have to pay for new maps when you’ve already paid for the product and the license for your bike. For that reason alone, having to pay for each map, I would never buy it, I think they take advantage of the fact that there are no other products available to perform that task. Also, I would load a map like the one you already have and never load another map again, because if the map works fine, it eliminates the need for another one. Therefore, it would be a one-time use. And for a one-time use, it seems outrageous to me. KTM Group dealerships should have a machine to install that map for you. That’s it. For free, but charging for the labor time it takes them, just like any other product you can have installed in a workshop. But honestly, for a one-time use, it seems outrageous to me.
    but I like your review.

    Did you pay full price for the ERM? Your other videos you stated "I don't need to tune my bike, it runs great and that little bit of stutter noise doesn't bother me".
    I purchased one and I love TSP, great company with great products. Is this worth $450? I don't think so, it was not a game changer and I've messed with it quite a bit. The "lug a ability " is just as good stock as it is with the ERM tune. I did notice slight fuel savings though.

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  3 часа назад

      They gave me a bit of a discount, I still paid well over $500 after exchange. Like I said, now I’m back riding slower terrain more often the stutter was bothering me a lot more than when I was in 3rd and up more often.
