Woow,I can't find any words... All I can say is that how much I envy Chris for his Chinese ...I am just a beginner student but I enjoy studying this language so much 😊 Thank You for this content ❤
Unique and very interesting information about HSK 3.0. I salute Chris's bravery for taking the exam, and I appreciate the considerable work that went into producing Chris's write-up and this excellent video.
I really appreciate these honest assessments of exams. Thanks Chris and Rita! I was thinking about taking this exam, but I think I'm now thoroughly disabused of that idea.
@@RitaChinese He changes his rate of speaking and volume, which, in my limited experience in Beijing's hutongs in 1983, is very Beijing localized. I am a little shocked at how authentic he sounds. He does not speak like an academic, just regular Beijing folk. If I talked to him on the phone, I would bet money he is from Beijing.
Did any parts of the test have to be written by hand? The official vocab lists include handwriting lists of 1200 total characters that people who sit the 7 to 9 exam should be able to write, but it's not clear to me how this is actually being tested.
The fact that a guy with this level of Chinese failed the exam is that there is a problem with the exam. What a so tricky and complicated exam like this wants to measure? What for? What kind of opportunities I would miss if I had level 7 instead of 9? If had Chris' level of Chinese, a HSK 7-9 would not be one of my top priorities...
Very helpful and detailed analysis. Thanks to both of you for doing this and posting.

Hello guys!!! Love this.

Has Chris gotten his test results back yet?
I'm curious how much the level 1-6 tests have changed since the new test system came out.

考试以后,肯定她给他好吃的食物
The exam ... it broke Laoma like an old horse.
So I'm sure Rita gave him some comfort food。
The difficulty of HSK reform has really increased a lot, and the pressure on Chinese teacher is also rising!
I guess that we can summarize the new HSK 7 - 9 test as it stands now in 2 words: "it sucks" 😅
The way he said "就是有点" at 13:26 I was like excuse me, let me play that again lol
This is just an example, many parts were like that :D
0:25
You'll catch it 😜
for the writing part, it is computer based or done through hand writting?
Unrelated to the video I am commenting under, I have a question.
Is using erhua considered non-standard / something a newscaster wouldn't use?
For most words yes but for words like 一点儿 no
7, 8, 9 in one go 🎉🎉🎉
Hsk 7 8 9 是为了最优秀的测试者的,因此难一点倒也无可厚非。再说了 你又不需要 一定拿到高分 毕竟只有一个考试。
并且这是为了硕士及以上的学生的。
学习本科的话 hsk6就足够了。
我还以为是HSK3呢,这水平怎么可能用得着学HSK3呢,因为HSK6的题我看过,根本不难的。
did he pass???
His accent is so interesting.. what region would you say it hails from? Is it a really strong northern accent?
Yeah it's pretty authentic Beijing Mandarin accent

第四個留言for the algorithm' ! 😁
Rita do you live close Washington DC?
They live in Bethesda I believe
请问一下,在网上可不可以下载汉语水平考试7-9级的词汇量?
可以的!能找到
@@RitaChinese 哪儿?非常感谢。

@@RitaChinese 十分感谢。
你得了几分?
还没出分呢。
我还没搞明白到底hsk9级对应于语言框架的哪个等级。如果hsk6级上等于是我们的C2 ,那9级就算是。。。E1啊!?🤔不可能。。。
hsk6 =high b2 or low c1
7,8,9,=high C1 to high D1
HSK6绝对不是C2...最多B2

i believe it has to be written using hand。
For the new one it can only be hand written
His wife? If so his cup over floweth.
👏👏👏😃😃😃🇧🇷😃😃谢谢你
我觉得你在thumbnail上不要放剧透spoiler更好
Get him to do a Chinese A level paper 😂 apparently its basically impossible for non native speakers to get a good score

Are they a couple?
They're married
and here we see Rita gradually coming to terms with the fact she married someone who just isn't so good at Chinese as she is...
I mean she’s a native speaker so it isn’t expected of him to be at her level
Is Chris Mexican?
I believe his mother is from venezuela
