    I have just started to notice that the ball that comes back with the most difficulty for me is whan I unthinkingly return it to the hitting zone they are most comfortable with, so this was really relevant for me, playing to areas that present them with the most difficult problems. Many thanks! Cheers!

    I think you don’t need a music background, it’s district the listeners and hard to her you. Otherwise great videos

      No I honestly agree with you! The main issue was the echo / background sound which could of been distracting then too!
      But, definitely more lower background music :) thank you for your feedback!

      Thanks :) I find these tactics very useful especially when it’s a close game like 8-8 and it’s a smart way to win points and put more pressure on your opponent.

      @@dublintabletennisclub by "medium ball", i guess you mean the "half long ball", which has second bounce very near the edge of the table?

    • @dublintabletennisclub
      @dublintabletennisclub  3 года назад +1

      Yes and definitely do sharp fast long ball in the corner of the table especially if you see your opponent close to the table. That makes them in a very awkward situation

      @@dublintabletennisclub I'm actively training 3 days a week. I was able to play in an un-sanctioned local tournament about two weeks ago and did ok. I play in my first sanctioned (USATT) tournament in a week. Things are slowly returning to normal in my area of the States - we were pretty shutdown due to Covid until a few weeks ago.

    • @dublintabletennisclub
      @dublintabletennisclub  3 года назад +1

      Great to hear :) the USATT tournaments are tough. Very fast paced rallies. Long serves and quick to attacks
      Yeah, we are the same with Covid. We haven’t yet returned, but hoping in July we can open up.

      @jerol- Coach Eddy was explaining the how and why of the strategies he was demonstrating. Not all shots are the same and yes you can return the ball however you want, however, he is giving advice on how to get points easier and the most effective way.
      If you don’t like him talking, you can mute your device and fast forward the video to the section you want. Just my 2cents.
