CPS targets poor people who cannot afford an attorney which is how they get the children away from parents and grandparents. You can talk until you're blue in the face but you will not make money fall from a tree to save these children. And, the attorney I had, tried to charge me more and more as I borrowed and borrowed and he did no better than I could do as a paralegal and eventually told me so. He never entered my de facto petition where in my granddaughter was living with me and her sister when I was coerced into surrendering her because of a guaranteed psych evaluation that would have taken her sister as well , (who had been in my legal custody 9 years), if I didn't comply. So I had a choice of taking one in or losing both. I took the baby in with my swollen crying face, hired my own psych evaluator, the PhD evaluator literally ordered by the social worker to write that I was unsafe, the evaluator calling me about it, refusing to do so, and still I lost her to foreigners. I was a city councilwoman second term . The adoptive mother was my WIC worker, a conflict of interest, but who cared? Psych evaluators and state attorney generals who work for CPS cannot be beat by anyone. You can talk all day but unless these workers and their judges want these children back home , these children will not return home. By fighting CPS, you're playing into their hand of making money from the state. The more we fight the more money they make. The attorneys granted to parents work for the state. The grandparents do not get attorneys free of charge. One family I know had to run with their grandchild , their grandchild , who had been molested in foster care , before the state changed their mind! The state was aware, you bet they were aware.
i am poor and i have dealt with cps a few times and also for different issues and i always was kind and let them in my clean home and let them talk to my kids and i always had them signed off on the case and NEVER EVER EVER HAD MY KIDS TAKEN FROM ME EVER! i do not agree with cps but sometimes people hide the reason as to why they are being looked at by cps! they make it worse on themselves and their kids! i have had cps in my home over drugs, over domestic abuse and over kids missing too much school. i have never had any problems what so ever! people tend to think that cps wants their kids or the government wants their kids or that they are being investigated over nothing at all when thats just not true!!! its just not true! i am tired of people leaving out why they are being investigated or why their kids were taken in the first place! sometimes people will not take responsibility for their own bullshit actions when they should. sometimes they make it worse on themselves and no wonder the kids are taken!

Also go into the revise codes of each state and look at the law called adoption and safe family act and if a child is put into foster care and adopted within one year the state receives 10,000 or more dollars each for that child. You are fortunate because you have an in. No one else that I have ever heard of and I work with legislators, has ever won their case with the exception of the one who ran after getting their granddaughter back. I had custody and have had custody 18 years from CPS in another county for my oldest granddaughter. My wic worker saw and wanted my little baby blond headed granddaughter. All of my paperwork states that I am or was to be the adoptive parent and it never happened.This was a great experience for you and I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Barbara Mowrey DCFS rather spend 13,000 each month for me to be placed in a group home with abusive Mentally ill children. Also kids that are on probation for robbery attempted murder. Why make my life harder and more Difficult it’s horrible. They could Use a portion of that money and help me get reunited with my mother that’s homeless that is not a drug attic. The Whole system needs to be reform And needs to be Transferred into something better Then the way it is now!......

If a CPS Worker is in your home and they are making lies about you can't record them and it's illegal, call a lawyer ASAP, have them explain your rights and the law over the speaker phone, I tried doing that when CPS came into my home, and they grabbed their things right away and left, the look on their faces was priceless, I then told the Executive Directot that I will post the videos on Facebook if these crooked CPS workers and Supervisors don't get fired, and they were forced to resign lmao!! Best feeling in the world.
I'd sue them for trying to violate my rights, and sue them for defamation of character, malpractice, legal misconduct, abuse of power and process. I'd also post the video to all social media, and contact every media outlet. No one will drag my name through the mud and think I will not fight back, especially by people from government.

If you're in a one party consent state, you can openly or privately record someone you're in a conversation with whether on public or private property. However, if you're not a part of the conversation, you need the consent of at least one person in the conversation or else it's easedropping. Look up your states recording laws. Because they can't weasel out of a video or audio recording. Then sue them for defamation of character, abuse of power and process, malpractice, legal misrepresentation, and malicious prosecution. Don't take it lying down.
My phone calls are always recorded because this social worker forcibly made me sign a safety plan under duress with threats of removing my children. This is even after i told her im done talking with her until i get an attourney, and she still pusehd it and they keep saying stuff thay was never said i have it all recorded.

Security guards and police often falsely tell people they cannot record there, it is a secure facility, they have to delete the video, they have to hand over the camera as it contains evidence. My understanding is that photographers can record anything they can see from any place they have a right to be, such as on sidewalks, public easement right of ways, and common or public areas of governmental building. Generally, 15 feet distance is a reasonable distance for a police stop to not be interfering with police activity. My understanding also is that the Supreme Court has ruled that the public has a right to photograph or video record any public employee in the performance of their duty. California actually has a law, PC 148 g, that states that photography can not be used as a basis for reasonable suspicion which might lead to detentions and demand for names and other personal data. Many cop watchers and governmental auditors have successfully sued police departments and governmental agencies when their rights have been violated. I see no reason why this would not also apply to social workers.
I only half to tell them if iu are in a state with a two party consent law. Or if your on private property other than your own. But in public. You have the right to record anything u can see from a public Easement public sidewalk etc.
I recorded them though I didn't let them know I wanted them show their nasty conduct if I said anything to about me recording they'll force me out the building. Figured a attorney could use this against them. Sick of the lies.

I too went through a similar thing for my teenager rebelled and claimed false allegations of physical abuse which were not proven nor was I charged with anything but I still had to jump through all the CPS is BS and it took me almost a year to get my daughter back in the house even though she in admitted she fabricated 99% of it so good luck you are fighting a bully that has way too much power. When I went to court to close the case I was there 30 minutes early at least and they never came out and got me and closed the case and stated I did not appear. You can't record without mutual consent in California. But if you have security camera footage it is admissible in court.
