From what I hear, the only real difference between them is that the Challenger can have front & rear duals setup for 30" row spacing. Otherwise they have the same engine, HP, transmission, etc. Heck, if you look up close on the Challenger, many parts say "Fendt"
both tractors built in Germany on same assembly line just painted different colors. both have same engines and HP. big difference is brand (both AGCO owned) and options available. both can be sold in north America.
I wonder do they come out of the same factory? If they do indeed have the same trans as it appears, then I would expect it to be made in Martoberdorf. Fendt in Bavaria make many of the high-end Massey trans also.
Challenger, Fendt Massey Ferguson and Valtra - AGCO corporation. THey have different badged the same tractors and harvesters: ruclips.net/video/5o-1h0dfh7c/видео.html ruclips.net/video/X0XBDoKBjYY/видео.html
Yes. I know all that. But what I was suggesting, does Fendt in Marktoberdorf also make the transmissions. They were making Massey's stepless for a while also, not sure if they still do. I did a factory tour there a while back. Cool to do if you are ever there.
Flyingdutchman586 Both Challenger and Fendt 1000 series are build the same, same engine, transmission everything. They are produced in the same factory.
@@linkinparkgermany9689 It absolutely isn't - they have identical engines that have identical tunes that make identical power. The numbers listed in the intro of this video are false; the Challenger numbers are what BOTH are rated at the PTO, and the Fendt numbers are what BOTH are rated at the crankshaft(engine).
Exact same tractor fendt designed and made both of they give some to challenger i believe under a contract they put there logo on it and throw it on the market exactly the same tractor
Fendt and Challenger belong to the American group AGCO in Europe, caterpillar vehicles are under the fendt brand because it is a more well-known brand than the challenger and in the US Fendt tractors are shown under the challenger brand P.S The AGCO group includes Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra
Is it just me or are these two the same tractor? Other than wheels and tires they look identical. I'm really confused as to what this video is trying to convey.

there is literally no point to this video because know one has the choice of one or the other because fendt is only sold in europe and challenger is only sold in america. also your stats are wrong as they are both the exact same tractor and the same horsepower, the only difference between them apart from the wheel options is the colour and the cab layout.
Melvin Nilsson You do realize that Challenger 1000 and Fendt 1000 are the same tractors? The Challenger is slightly downsized on power so Fendt can have it's "highest HP conventional tractor" record.
Actually no, the Challenger outputs exactly the same, numbers listed on the Challenger side are actually PTO horsepower for this series. www.challenger-ag.us/products/tractors/1000-series-high-horsepower-row-crop-tractors.html#Specs
they had the decency of letting fendt being fendt and that's the only way you can sell fendts they may all use parts of the same make but different parts on different models
This makes me confused ? Just like KTM and Husqvarna. They offer challenger for a better price? And can someone explain the more narrow wheels on challenger? My uncle is a farmer and i loved them John deeres but that is american made and fendt is german?
I don't see any Chalenger in this video, I just see Fendt in a different color.
From what I hear, the only real difference between them is that the Challenger can have front & rear duals setup for 30" row spacing. Otherwise they have the same engine, HP, transmission, etc. Heck, if you look up close on the Challenger, many parts say "Fendt"
Playing devil's advocate here, Green is the better shade - when matched with yellow wheels, surely?
Ich mag alles.
Joh !

Thank you.
They arent built in Germany. They are built in the US.
The big thing I see is that Challenger had a CAT engine which is not available now through AGCO was not part of the deal.
Allan McCoshan Now they‘ve got a MAN engine in the 1000 series, so what?
@@daltonrumbarger2701 No. Fendt 1000 vario is German tractor, it's builded in Germany. Challenger version is just repainted Fendt
I like yellow
Agco vs agco! Who will win? It's agco, that's who... 😂
Gutes Video
Thanks. :)

you used the PTO hp rating for the Challenger and engine hp for the Fentd
Fendt 👍💪🏻

Ok!
That was the point and you fell head first straight in 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why are you comparing apples to apples LOL!!!🍎🍏
It is COOL
:)
Looks like same tractor to me, just different colors..
Should not be a surprise, both agco companies.
Its correct.
It's like with the harvesters
Vicki Poe: The engine from the Fendt 1000 is bigger and poverfuller than the challenger 1000 series.

Fendt 1050 with engine M.A.N WIN!
fendt. ... I like that
:-)

All of these AGCO tractors look and perform very similarly to each other. The only difference is paint and some body panels.
They different brand-badged.
Fendt is in the agco group but fendt is german
The Challenger actually has 517 hp
Ok!
I own a challenger the biggest series and is got 517 hp

You can get Fendt in NA. there is a Fendt dealer in Oklahoma that sells both Challenger and Fendt 1000s.
fendt the best
Fendt is better, although Challenger is great, I think Fendt is higher and better
They are the same. Just color and brand, that's all difference
You can’t order a challenger 1000 in 2021, only Fendt.
Fendt is way more better then Challenger
Look at the fragment from 7:50 . Wheeled and caterpillar tractors will have corporate design.

Sorry then, I was using the numbers from the video.
I know, I got confused too, so I did some research.
Its the same
:-)
That's because Fendt and Challenger are in AGCO. Fendt 1000 vario in America is Challenger because Challenger is more popular in US.
Its the same traktor
Like the challenger lexion an the claas lexion are the same maschine
Only the paint is changed
Same tractor but fendt have more hp
Pietro Bosco no they dont its just measured differently
