Most government programs have the wrong incentives, leading ppl's situations to be just as bad as before or worse. Economics is a social science so we study human behavior, not stock market. He isn’t saying anything groundbreaking or revolutionary, the sad thing is people think he is. As much as Thomas Massie says he loves freedom, he still buys into the idea that government can be changed from the inside.
He is in the crunchy conservative zone, but after a strong cup of coffee a constitutional libertarian perhaps. A healthy likable mindset among the midst of a heavy political power struggle between factions that choose not to observe the emerging 21st century cross section.

A pro-life libertarian would vote for a pro-life socialist over a pro-choice libertarian and a pro-choice libertarian would vote for a pro-choice fascist over a pro-life libertarian. Only one beef: Don't use C++. Not even once. Whatever it is you are building, I don't care, use Go or something.....just for the love of God don't muck with C++.... For me personally, the only thing scarier than your program segfaulting and silently failing is when your program finally works and you have to ask yourself "Why? Wait...that worked?"....
Massie seems good (You can tell that I'm very distrusting these days..) but his stories of what goes on in D.C. while unsurprising are still incredibly nauseating. It makes me think extremely unkind thoughts about what I would do to most of those people in retribution for what they have done and are doing to this nation...
