When we suck, the Steelers still go 3-3 in division, and we don’t suck, and the division can’t seem to beat anyone else. If we start 3-0, the division is already upside down.

That’s the entire schtick of chat sports. None of these dudes have any inside knowledge, they’re just hoping people that know even less latch on and increase views. He’s not even a Steeler fan, they just get assigned to a team.
I rather Herbert play this game than not play this game, win or lose. All we heard last year when we beat the Bengals twice was “oh Joe burrow wasn’t playing” so if the team’s starting QB isn’t playing than it’ll just be a storyline of “is the Steelers defense legit” playing against a backup. We need to approach all of these games like they are tests for what is to come later in the season

You don't "make" receivers out of 28 year old busts who haven't improved on the deficiencies in their game that made them bust, nor can you "make" a receiver out of someone who isn't stout enough physically/not anywhere near good enough route runner to not be constantly knocked off the stem of his route (the part before the break that includes properly leveraging a DB to put their body between the defender and the throw).
There's a reason they were all in on Aiyuk. Then, when that fell through, I think they bought the "fools gold" that is Van Jefferson -& how he looks spectacular vs practice squad DBs/bland coverage in the preseason, then is metrically one of the worst starting WRs since 2000 in the regular season.
Austin is way closer to being a Dri Archer than he is a Dionte Johnson. Finally, expecting Roman Wilson, a mid round slot, who is prob is too small to play outside, & who is also coming off a lower body injury that cost him nearly all of camp, to produce like a #2 anytime soon is setting the kid up for failure.

I agree with you, the steelers have been notorious for developing receivers regardless where they are drafted, the only bad thing about that is we don't have a solid play at QB.

I feel like Khan has made it obvious that we are not looking to trade for a WR. I believe they are looking at Roman Wilson to come in and be the number 2 (filling DJ's role) and probably stick with Jefferson or, more likely CA III in the slot. Honestly, I feel like Juju was an easy "grab" when he got cut and we didn't go for him (a good fit for the slot position, at least) so, I think we are set with our Wide-outs this year. I just hope Roman can come in and take some heat off of GP because he is going to get double-teamed more and more as the season goes on. With GP, RW, CAIII, and Muth at TE...maybe that's enough???

Thielen....Bigger target, good underneath route runner, good hands, semi-cheap, plays hard. We have speed need guy not afraid of middle.
I personally believe that instead of worrying about a 2 @ WR let this behemoth @ TE DWashington eat. He too big and too strong for every defender past the line of scrimmage.
