    944 is just a better looking and handling sports car

    So basically , the Miata is technically superior but I noticed you got a big ass smile on your face driving that 944 ;)

      I do love the Miatas. But couldn't help but grin in the 944! They're both super fun cars.

    @CashedOutCars this is quite an impressive & comprehensive review for a young lad like you. Kudos Sir. I might just go after the 944.

    Good review. I smile when you say the interior of the 944 is very 80’s when you never lived the 80’s! lol keep up the good work

      Hahaha that’s a good point. We certainly didn’t grow up then, but have been around plenty of cars of the era! Thanks for the comment!

    I've owned both cars. The bucking on the 944 is most like from worn rubber in the center of the clutch disk. If it's not that, it's wear elsewhere in the driveline. Overall, Miata gets my vote for being lighter, faster steering, and most importantly much easier and cheaper to maintain. It's also super easy to heel-toe a 944. You use the side of your right foot to blip the gas instead of your heel.

      We'll have to look into that. I agree with the points for the Miata! I'll have to try that in the 944

      I've also owned both cars and I agree that my clutch was very smooth as well. I'm also not sure I'd say that you sit higher in the Porsche. At least not stock seats to stock seats.

    That's nice ! comment from japan
    Now, I have a Miata 1995 model and RX-7(FD),but I will sell rx-7 soon,
    RX7 is a great design and powerful sports car, but I can't control it.
    I intrersting porsche 944s2, but old FR porsche is rare in japan.
    I like this review and I love more 1980-1990's old sports car. thx!!

    Good video! I also have a Miata (99) and a 86 Porsche 944 (actually 951, 944 Turbo) I have thought about doing a comparison video of mine but I have the opposite situation the 951 has been seriously modded, the suspension has been completely gone through as in stiffer bushings, bigger sways, 1" lowering springs (progressively wound) upgraded brakes. and adjustable Koni yellows The engine itself is stock but the waste gate is a Lindsey Racing dual port with a manual boost controller and a chip set., obviously the acceleration is rocket ship like at 16 psi compared to the Miata. My Miata is stone stock. The Miata handles great but it has a LOT of body roll compared to the Porsche, I do have a set of Yokohama Advent AD07 tires on it which make a HUGE difference in road holding. At lower speed the Miata is more precise but at oh say 90 plus miles an hour the Porsche just goes where you aim it and at any speed it has almost zero body roll, also I will say with the lowered stiffer springs on the 951 you feel EVERY THING on the road, was that a pebble I ran over? Oh no it was an ant, lol. As both cars sit right now they are almost exactly thee same height. The only thing I was really surprised at with the Miata after I bought was with the brakes....I feel they could be better but Wilwood makes a basic upgrade for under a grand that I think would take care of that. Thanks for sharing!!

      +Jack Allen thanks! Those 944 Turbos are sweet cars. The Miata did have a lot of body roll before coilovers. The Miata's brakes did fade a little bit at autocross events I've done but in the road they've been pretty good. They're both really fun cars, enjoy them!

      They're sweet cars! I'd recommend test driving a Miata too if you could unless you're set on the 944, they're surprisingly different. Good luck!

    what's cost of ownership and reliability like, compared?

    • @CashedOutCars
      @CashedOutCars  2 года назад

      The 944 is definitely more when it comes to maintenance, and is typically less reliable. That said, this one hasn't been much of an issue!

    Hey! ive watched a video you made a while ago on your other channel, the mirror finish clear-coating one. Im trying to achieve that same gloss on one of my boards. Could you tell me the name of the second compound (the lighter-cut one)??? Thanks and greetings from Argentina. Great videos btw!

    • @CashedOutCars
      @CashedOutCars  7 лет назад +1

      Meguiar's Mirror Glaze fine cut compound should be very similar if not the same. Good luck on the boards!

    The 944 also has a lot more cargo space and two more seats

    • @CashedOutCars
      @CashedOutCars  5 лет назад +1

      it definitely has lots more cargo space, I wouldn't ever want to sit in those rear seats though. Check out my 944 review to see more of my thoughts on it!

      +Gabriel Rubio yes in the Miata it's very easy, I'm 5' 9" but the seat can go back a lot more to accommodate bigger people

    What wrap did you put on your miata steering wheel?

    • @CashedOutCars
      @CashedOutCars  7 лет назад

      +Willie Medhurst it's a suede wrap that was custom stitched around the original wheel

    • @jpdrums

      I came to ask the same question. Where did you purchase the wrap from? Difficult installation? Great Videos!

      CashedOutCars you should understand that when your comparing two cars you are speaking for all of them you shouldnt say a car doesnt have something but not mention that it's been modified to be so (I'm guessing you didn't mention because of the comment). My review on the 2018 Toyota Prius compared to the Chevrolet volt. The Prius has greater offroad capabilities when compared to the volt mainly due to the stock 100" wheels with toyotas offroad tire codename poon destroyer.
