Friday After Next is a 2002 American stoner comedy film directed by Marcus Raboy and starring Ice Cube (who also wrote the film) and Mike Epps. It is the third and final installment in the Friday trilogy. The film was theatrically released on November 22, 2002, to generally negative reviews. This film has since gained a cult following.
The 3rd instalment of the Friday franchise was filmed in the San Fernando Valley, San Pedro, and other locations around Los Angeles.

Hi Scott! Found your video on Carson Plaza and just to let you know: Brain Freeze shop is not open yet, but will be hopefully by the end of the summer depending on the health department. Kantaro sushi shop is one of the best in the south bay whose shop has been featured in Dine LA. And the reason the alley is locked up because of security issues. As for the film, the production crew took about a month to set up the plaza to their liking using quite a few of the stores for interior and exterior shots complete with a non-existent restaurant (former clothing store). They filmed there for about 3 weeks straight causing quite a traffic jam with tight security. At the end of filming, the film company put everything back as they found it and all the store owners were paid for every day of lost business for almost 3 months. They even had to rent the roof of the building as a last minute addition to the rental contract. I was able to visit the location a couple times during filming and spoke to a couple of the shop owners.
I was 17 when Next Friday came out, I already watched the first Friday movie and CB4 as a kid in the 90's. I love The Upshaws with Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes.

Good timing with this filming location post. Friday and Next Friday were just on tv the other day. I watched them both but forgot how funny Next Friday was. Like when his Uncles Girlfriend said come give your Auntie a kiss on the cheek and as soon as he went to give her a little peck on the cheek she turned her head towards him real quick trying to stick her tongue in his mouth lol while he's trying to pull away from her. 😆Or when Pinky walks into the record store unannounced and had a gun to Ice Cubes head asking him questions and every time Ice Cube tried to answer each question Pinky was like SHUT THE FUCK UP !! 1 MORE WORD 1 MORE FUCKIN' WORD !!! I couldn't even hold my tears back from laughing so hard. That was a funny ass movie. I gotta watch Friday After Next though surprisingly i don't think i ever saw the last one. I'd have to imagine it was funny too.

I lived in redondo and my mom went to this school program thing up the street from here we were walking back to the bus stop and saw the filming we asked what this was n he told us we always loved the franchise so we were hella excited i was in the 3rd grade cube still my fav rapper since before this n after n i remember seeing a few short pimp characters in suits prob stunt doubles
