Loved the update and to see Grace walking well after her foot problems. The water collection system looks to be a huge win. We have considered it here with our new metal roof house but we have a great water well. Regarding the wallapini...it is great to have a covered work space where you can work out of the weather but not inside where the dust and paint are an issue. We set up a temporary work table in the new barn and it is used all the time vs the formal shop at the house. Starting to be an issue with two sets of tools :-(

Wonderful to see you posting again.
I came here because of the original Walipini video years ago, and stayed because you are a delight to watch and follow.
That cistern looks like it really worked out well!

Sorry we kinda disappeared for a bit there. Sometimes videos just have to take a backseat to life. 😁

Good to see you back - I've seen you twice in one week. The head teacher over here wants to start a channel with me because he believes all my conspiracy theories. Someday, I hope to have you on board too. I didn't see my favorite animal in this video - did I just miss her?

I'd love your venison chili recipe that you canned. Everything looks great, you guys. You are a good team.

It’s called “Mansion Chili”- and was developed by a chef at the Springfield, IL Governors mansion, by request to serve Willie Nelson years ago. It’s my favorite chili recipe, though I don’t use nearly the heat they did! 🥵. In any case, I just replaced the beef with venison and it works great! 😁

Thanks for the update guys! I guess you couldn't dig a well or watertable too far down? Rain catching system looks cool! Also are you able to live debt free on this land and sustain yourselves off it or do you do some jobs for extra cash? This is something we are learning about, becoming dependent on the Lord with what He provides vs making our own way.

We looked into a well but it was cost prohibitive and well pumps consume a lot of energy (not good for off-grid). As far as debt free, we’ve always lived that way. We buy with cash and don’t do mortgages. Since 2013 we’ve lived off of my retirement and whatever income the farm generates.

Thanks for the compliment. You are actually the second person to request our plans, so we are discussing the logistics of offering these plans. Stay tuned!

Hello, I love the info you have shared about walipinis and I am very interested in building a small one of my own. I think you are great people and have some information for you that you probably will not want to believe, but some of us know what's going on because we learned about the vegan diet and cured our diseases by starving them from what they need. Non transmittable diseases and countless medical conditions that people seek treatment for need ingested animal fats and proteins. This has been clinically proven for decades and is the biggest, deadliest "they don't want you to know" there ever was. Cancer and heart disease are both in my DNA and were both competing to kill me when I turned 50. After two years of symptoms piling up and realizing I didn't have much longer to live in 2020, I learned about it and gave it a shot as a last resort. Not only did my symptoms disappear after six weeks vegan and I felt great again, everything else that used to bother me like athlete's foot, occasional headaches, heartburn, and indigestion are no longer issues.
I realize this is hard to believe and I seem like a freak for saying it because that's exactly what I believed for 52 years of my life. We have been fooled into thinking we are omnivores because of the many industries that rely on us eating it and seeking treatment and meds. The mega wealthy control us with psychology whether you believe it or not. Used to be they were the ones who got fat, diseased, and died early because they were the only ones who could afford to eat and drink meat and dairy. Now they made it affordable for nearly everyone and make mega dollars at our expense. Do yourself a favor and watch What the Health on Netflix. I know it's true because what they said would happen after going vegan did.
