Mbeya region alone is the main producer of various seasonal crops. Together with other 4 neighboring regions they form the so called "The Big 5", meaning the 5 regions in tz that literally feed the country and beyond.
@mariej6962 you are wrong on your number 4 of your comment.Mtera is not a river but is an hydro electric power generation station which is located on the border of Dodoma and Iringa regions. The power plant and its facilities is on the Dodoma side while the reservour is on the Iringa side. The reservour weir is exactly below the bridge deck spanning above The Great Ruaha River. In fact the Great North Road which originates from Capetown and ends in Cairo crosses The Great Ruaha River at the Mtera weir.

I was born in Mbeya and grew up there, in 90s and early 2000s it was still a small town. When it started growing the authority didn't have a city master plan so they let people build houses in whichever way they wanted. Now the city is over congested and unplanned. Population is increasing rapidly with no place to build a school or health center. No place to breathe 😂😂 Maybe the 30km dual carriageway and a bypass for trucks expected to complete by 2025 will reduce the chaos. But for mbeya to be organized a lot of houses need to be demolished. Naipenda mbeya kuliko sehemu yoyote Tz.
I'm abit surprised how arid the interior of TZ is. Dodoma is much smaller than I thought but small can be good. Overall TZ seems to have decent road infrastructure. Great to see the Train service being upgraded.
Hey Liv Kenya, good stuff. I have been following your series closely for a quite sometime. I was wondering if you could purchase a 20-25 litre Jerrycan to buy extra fuel at Shell or Total and avoid buying fuel at local petrol stations since that can affect your car engine. Otherwise , much love from Uganda. we are enjoying 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬

Tha railway line is Tanzania Zambia Railway (TAZARA). The rail line was built by Chinese in 70s The line runs from Dar es Salaam to Kapirimposhi in Zambia. The line is a cape gauge so there is a connection from Kapirimposhi to South Africa. The tourists train that sometimes use the line from South Africa to Dar es Salaam is a private owned called RAVOS.
Yes. I pray we could expand this system to the rest of Africa. RAVOS is a pioneer and that is okay... however we need another option - more affordable for us normal folk 🙂
Stunning views! Impressive job, guys! It's hard to believe you captured footage at Mtera Dam - the guards are usually vigilant and confiscate photos, sometimes even deleting them. You're really lucky to have pulled that off!😄
Very well done guys. Camping is actually very easy. Am glad you guys took the jump. Cannot wait to watch the next episodes. You guya are an inspiration
i think it will be good if you be including dates on your videos so that we know when exactly you were at a certain point ,at the end of the trip also give fuel estimates of the entire journey ,we pan ourselves too ,your videos are awesome ,you made us feel like we are with you over ,keep up
Dodoma city is under contstruction; many things are being constructed such as Msalato international airport, embassies, government city (a very modern one), Dodoma studium, ringroads aroung the city, etc. After 10 years it’s when somebody can give a just comment about Dodoma.
10:17 Actually, Dar es salaam was initially the capital city of Tz but since it was too far, Dodoma was made the capital city since it is more centralized location in Tz.
loving the trip in the comfort of my sitting room. The furthest i have been to tanzania is Arusha via Namanga. But after Dodoma the semi aridity is extreme. Uganda has indeed been some green country
I love this road trip series. My dream is to one day do a trip from Kenya to Namibia by road. N/B: From my research Namibia is so vast and isolated so shida ya fuel inaweza kua noma. Get enough fuel when you reach there coz you'll be travelling many kilometres isolated in the desert wilderness. Enjoy the adventure and safe journey to South Africa.
This was awesome! Watching this, especially the Mbeya region and the "spontaneous" campsite truly warmed my heart! What a special group of humans you are! Were those snow fluries I was seeing as you sat around the jiko or was it a drizzle!? Y'all are diehard travel enthusiasts! Blessings!🙏🏽💯
Dar es Salaam WAS the capital city of Tanzania upto 1996 when it was moved to Dodoma. Dar is at the extreme Eastern end of Tz and it was far from most of the country. It was moved to Dodoma which is more central than Dar. Same thing that happened in Nigeria when the capital was moved from Lagos to Abuja. Dar remains the commercial capital of Tz while Dodoma is the administrative capital
@@LIVKENYA Liv i have a suggestion, why don't you compile clips from all tour's you've done so far and create a documentary. Trust me many will be waiting eagerly ....lastly that is if you buy the idea then you should probably involve more of the locals where visited thanks
The video quality has greatly improved. Thanks for listening to our input. The houses in Tanzania being the same could be due to economic hardships. Tanzania is very dry in some areas... I am utterly shocked by this I thought Kenya was dry but Tanzania. No. Anyways I am learning from your vlogs. I would like to hear the input of your fellow car occupants like the lady seated behind your seat and the driver. Lets hear the experiences of your fellow travellers. You did this well on the Lake Victoria circuit. Anyways thanks for the vlog, we learn by seeing without the expense.
A very small part in Tanzania has the dry land in the central regions, part of Singida and Dodoma its dry otherwise the whole country is blessed from the North to South and East to West including all the island from the Sea to lakes.
Tazara is the train - Tanzania - Zambia railway, and the train itself is also known as Tazara...it terminates in Zambia. The luxury train from South Africa is private and just once in awhile uses the rail to Dar

Yes. I pray we could expand this system to the rest of Africa. RAVOS is a pioneer and that is okay... however we need another option - more affordable for us normal folk 🙂
Am hopping you are dropping another video soonest , I have Been anxiously waiting for it.
There is a new episode already. Check it out
Stunning views! Impressive job, guys! It's hard to believe you captured footage at Mtera Dam - the guards are usually vigilant and confiscate photos, sometimes even deleting them. You're really lucky to have pulled that off!😄
We are Kenyans😂😂 but we were lucky
Very well done guys. Camping is actually very easy. Am glad you guys took the jump. Cannot wait to watch the next episodes. You guya are an inspiration
Camping is really fun it’s become my hobby now. Thank you 🙏🏾
i think it will be good if you be including dates on your videos so that we know when exactly you were at a certain point ,at the end of the trip also give fuel estimates of the entire journey ,we pan ourselves too ,your videos are awesome ,you made us feel like we are with you over ,keep up
Noted! Stay tuned I will create a video answering most asked questions about the trip and will include that too
Wonderful landscape
Joining you for the tour stay safe
Tunduma border is the busiest border in east and central Africa ,you can see how busy is Tunduma town
Yes it could be so but I think the chaos is man made to benefit some people
Dodoma city is under contstruction; many things are being constructed such as Msalato international airport, embassies, government city (a very modern one), Dodoma studium, ringroads aroung the city, etc. After 10 years it’s when somebody can give a just comment about Dodoma.
I can wait to see it's transformation
If only Magufuli was still alive things would have been so different by now.
He was about to build trams and intercity trains in Dodoma
10:17 Actually, Dar es salaam was initially the capital city of Tz but since it was too far, Dodoma was made the capital city since it is more centralized location in Tz.
loving the trip in the comfort of my sitting room. The furthest i have been to tanzania is Arusha via Namanga. But after Dodoma the semi aridity is extreme. Uganda has indeed been some green country
Well everything starts from somewhere and I believe one day you will achieve all that you desire keep pushing yourself
THE JOURNEY FROM NAIROBI TO CAPE TOWN IS SIMPLY SPECTACULAR. WE ARE MOVING ALONG WITH YOU ALL THE WAY OUR COUNTRY AMBASSADORS
You guys rock and iam very glad to see Adiya very active and composed in this episode.Eagerly waiting for the next one🤝
Thank you Amani Kenga Adiya helps us with important information of places
Am travelling with you! so far I like Tanzanian terrain and views.
Thank you. They are indeed beautiful
Glad you enjoying the series. Thanks for the advice
Thank you so much Paul for your kind words ☺️
This was so much fun,.
Yes it was
Dar es Salaam WAS the capital city of Tanzania upto 1996 when it was moved to Dodoma.
Thank you so much for the update
Thank you for all you do..this was refreshing to watch🤝🔥
I appreciate that
What an adventure. Well done and keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
This team has made me upgrade my playlist, it's just amazing. Please keep exploring, big up to Patrick for his road safetyness.
Thank you Naphilmwasanje. Am glad you enjoyed the video and sure Patrick is always careful on road which is important
@@LIVKENYA Liv i have a suggestion, why don't you compile clips from all tour's you've done so far and create a documentary. Trust me many will be waiting eagerly ....lastly that is if you buy the idea then you should probably involve more of the locals where visited thanks
On your way back...you got to visit Magufuli city
Will be back
The video quality has greatly improved.
Thanks again for your positive feedback. We learn as we go
A very small part in Tanzania has the dry land in the central regions, part of Singida and Dodoma its dry otherwise the whole country is blessed from the North to South and East to West including all the island from the Sea to lakes.
You can't build such beautiful houses if your in economical hardship😂 if you don't know people's culture just shut the fk up. Wacha kiherehere
@@kiddyadams Thank you Sir, for your explanation. I understand now.
Keep up the good work, I am with you till the end
Hi, thanks for your videos girl keep up,HOD bless you and have a safe trip
Thank you so much!
Tazara is the train - Tanzania - Zambia railway, and the train itself is also known as Tazara...it terminates in Zambia. The luxury train from South Africa is private and just once in awhile uses the rail to Dar
