I love this kind of thing in games. When lore is in abscure places and you can just stumble across it! How much more is hidden but THERE just because players haven't discovered it? I seriously wished more games did this nowadays! I miss it from older games like Pokémon and Skyrim and games like that!
Also it’s not that hidden we learn first pyro archon was not human and learned how he passed on his power to the next by Mavuika smack right in the middle of the Archon quest. We learn that he defeats the pyro sovereign with the help of a dragon sage when we worked together with our little brown saurian quest. Most of the large lore is in the major quests, NPC and books gives us more details for future predictions
Anyone else feel like we moved forwards in time from Liyue to sumeru to Fontaine, like Fontaine is futuristic, then Natlan said “NOPE”😂 Edit: (maybe not Liyue to sumeru but def sumeru to Fontaine)
I mean Fontaine has almost litelar nuclear fusion powering it up. Ousia and Pneuma or whatever they are called produce high amount of energy on contact. They literally could do nuces with this. On top of that, they were near remnants of advanced civilization so yeah, they are advanced. But more like a steampunk and magic kind, rather than futuristic. Monstadt is slowly exiting medival times but they have magic and alchemy as their national products. Liyue is... Old China. They were helped by Adeoty and now that's over, they will slowly expand. Inazuma in on the island, just recently got opened and like 2/3 of it's territory had rage of God on them. And there is another God to solve most of their problems like cataclysms. Sumeru then is just recently released of withering, but rather advanced. They have elevagors and aechitecture in excellent harmony with surrounding nature. They not only use magic as entire darshan dedicated to elementalism, they as mentioned by many, have complicated tools for sky observation, Layla's darshan for example, and can predict moves of stellar bodies. Aside from magical use in the world for divination, this actually required higher lvls of physics to pull of. I would say they are actually as advanced as Fontaine, but their advancement is not shown in the form of extravagand architecture. To have a capital city so effoetlessly merged with the forest, this is very futuristic achivement on it's own. But still, Sumeru is much more focused on it's mystical and ancient vibe, so it really seems like place of the past. About Natlan tho, have you played the Archon quest yet? It was the region that suffered the most 500 years ago and even was said to be almost compeately destroyed with all of it's civilization. Given that, they are surprisingly advanced, basically on the lvl of Liyue with how they can make air baloons and hold well organised olympics every year, which makes me wonder of Liyue is not actually a little bit behind them given circumstances.
This is the reason why you can only found the most important detail & lore bomb with reading archives. I hate it but that is the only way to know the truth.
Xbalanque is revealed to be an archon during 5.0 in main world quest and tribal chronicle for the scions, in 5.1 both were revealed in AQ so her reasoning fell flat (yes this is a short from 2 months ago still Xbalanque was already revealed to be an archon at that time)
This is the same game where Lisa gave you a book to read after Mondstadt Act One. The same book that explained some of the details about Dvalin's situation.
And right after Lisa's story mission she gives us one of the most important books in the entire Lore of the game and which is used for theories to this day (4 years ago btw). 💀
To be fair if you do thr world quests with your dinosaur buddy , youll vaguely learn about xblanque and him defeating the dragon too , if you ever read dialogue lol
There's a reason that they do this. The objective is to get people to do all the exploration. They put a LOT of work into making a world that is worth exploring and part of that is making the game's lore available to anyone who goes looking for it. I can dig it.
If I recall we know alot of the Archon demon name from npc or character from the region or even some playable characters too Also think the second is revealed in the World Quest, Chosen of Dragons
If you're shocked about lore being hidden in npc dialogue or in books.... Your socks are gonna be knocked into orbit when you find out about a nation that was destroyed 500 years ago that didn't even have a god😮
Honestly, I quite like it this way. Imo, the lore can sometimes just be randomly dropped on us in the most random moment in the archon quest, so having variety is nice.
My brain on the last question : "Habornym!" Mavuika’s demon name is Haborym-I added the N…also i thought it was demon name so thats why i said haborym but its was the archons playable name
my science teacher was doing mythology stuff and a bit of Mayan and then I was about to fall asleep until I heard the word “xbalanque” and I started opening my eyes to make sure I didn’t teleport to old times genshin
They used to do so. And then one of them helped the human and they made a pact to coexist. Besides, just wait for Kinich to... End the contract with Ajaw. When the "almighty dragonlord" like him comes back to glory all the reasons why they were abolished will be clear as day.
The Xbalanque lore is also revealed in the saurian world quest. Though tbf, based on how that was presented, I still have the sneaking suspicion that it could be a Jekyll&Hyde situation.
This is an accurate calling out. Months ago, there were talks implying the incumbent Natlan Archon was going to be overthrown quickly by a previous Archon. I don't think this will happen now, especially with no known leaks. But it would have been an epic twist and a great reason for no Pyro Traveller.
The necessary power to kill a pyro dragon sovereign as a human in this game's lore tips the entire structure of power scaling so unbelievably on its head that I can't believe it.
In all fairness, I think they got this idea from Dark Souls where you get all the lore from Item Descriptions.. even obscure, secret, and hard to find items as well.

I seriously wished more games did this nowadays! I miss it from older games like Pokémon and Skyrim and games like that!
U can learn about the first arcon in 2 different world quests. One in mualani territory that unlocks sky island and the other i don't remember
Brothas i've checked, wikipedia got an update in ''popular culture'' they already uploaded that it was genshin's pyro archon's name.
Anyone else feel like we moved forwards in time from Liyue to sumeru to Fontaine, like Fontaine is futuristic, then Natlan said “NOPE”😂
Edit: (maybe not Liyue to sumeru but def sumeru to Fontaine)
Given that, they are surprisingly advanced, basically on the lvl of Liyue with how they can make air baloons and hold well organised olympics every year, which makes me wonder of Liyue is not actually a little bit behind them given circumstances.
yep we went from "back to the future" to "jurrastic park" for no reason .
I love this comment 😂 keep it up 🤘👍🤣

"A random book" I mean..there s a WHOLE quest around xbalanque ??
Mavuikas demon name is also in her character teaser :)
Neuvillette: You see that guy over there? Yeah, he killed my cousin.
I mean, it's a story based open world game, isntit normal that they hide details in the world for people to discover 😅
Casually T-posing on dead dragon's body
Neuvilette: Cheif Justice? Nah
Neuvilette: Xblanque’s pet
Xbalanque is truly the honoured one
This is the reason why you can only found the most important detail & lore bomb with reading archives. I hate it but that is the only way to know the truth.
Xbalanque is revealed to be an archon during 5.0 in main world quest and tribal chronicle for the scions, in 5.1 both were revealed in AQ
so her reasoning fell flat (yes this is a short from 2 months ago still Xbalanque was already revealed to be an archon at that time)
This is the same game where Lisa gave you a book to read after Mondstadt Act One. The same book that explained some of the details about Dvalin's situation.
And right after Lisa's story mission she gives us one of the most important books in the entire Lore of the game and which is used for theories to this day (4 years ago btw). 💀
This is why I collect and read all the books.
And also Cus I have no other books to read.
"Do i smell...SWEAR WORDS?? THIS IS A RARE DISCOVERY!"
💀
It's called world building ig have lore everywhere
To be fair if you do thr world quests with your dinosaur buddy , youll vaguely learn about xblanque and him defeating the dragon too , if you ever read dialogue lol
Actually!!!! Mavuika has said her name as Haborym in the new AQ quest!! (I know this was posted before that but I thought I’d mention it)
This was before the 5.1 archon quest
@@angelamariarojasgutierrez3359 Bro did you even read my comment or did you jump straight to replying 💀💀💀
There's a reason that they do this. The objective is to get people to do all the exploration. They put a LOT of work into making a world that is worth exploring and part of that is making the game's lore available to anyone who goes looking for it. I can dig it.
If I recall we know alot of the Archon demon name from npc or character from the region or even some playable characters too
Also think the second is revealed in the World Quest, Chosen of Dragons
Yeah, Lil buddy one
If you're shocked about lore being hidden in npc dialogue or in books.... Your socks are gonna be knocked into orbit when you find out about a nation that was destroyed 500 years ago that didn't even have a god😮
dialog skipper spotted
Xbalanque was mentioned in Kinich story quest tho
Honestly, I quite like it this way. Imo, the lore can sometimes just be randomly dropped on us in the most random moment in the archon quest, so having variety is nice.
My brain on the last question :
"Habornym!"
Mavuika’s demon name is Haborym-I added the N…also i thought it was demon name so thats why i said haborym but its was the archons playable name
its just like how the literal origin of almost everything in teyvat is hidden in 1 stone tablet in a quest locked and kind of forgotten area
Finally we know All the archons demon name's
Except tsaritsa
thanks for not spoiling in the title and thumb!!
"THEY HIDE THEIR LORE IN THE WORSE PLACES TO FIND" latterly all soulborn games😅😅
I need more of that genshin analog horror 😭😭🙏
Well its called lore for a reason. Wouldn't be called lore if it wasnt hidden
To be fair, she did say her demon name when she punched a hole in the sky
WE NEED A XIBALNCE VS AJAW CINEMATIC FLASHBACK
"That's Some Inconvenient Lore Placement" - Kinger
my science teacher was doing mythology stuff and a bit of Mayan and then I was about to fall asleep until I heard the word “xbalanque” and I started opening my eyes to make sure I didn’t teleport to old times genshin
thank you for doing all this
The way my jaw dropped when I heard TWO YEARS AGO
The drip marketing for neuvi was 2023 in August, so one year ago.
The dragon looked at the human.
Human: and I took that personally.
I don't think Genshin needs to stop doing it. I think YOU GUYS need to START exploring the world and lore in-game more.
The yelled it in the archon question then basically becoming a sun before defeating a abbys
I don't even play genshin anymore but this girls energy entertains me so much. I can't stop watching.
Mavuika's demon name was revealed during the Archon Quest. it was one quick line, but she said her name herself
Haborym name was mentioned during the finale cutscene of the last quest though. I won't say more for spoilers promise ;)
I didn't read the book but I thought that was mentioned in one of the world quests...
That „again.” conveyed how all of us feel when we get the same standard banner 5* when we lose our 50/50s
Reminds me of that dnd story where a random farmer casually destroys 3 of the four horsemen of the apocalypse pc
When she declare the nightsoul war, she declare in the name of Haborym lol
I believe in dragon rights. #petitionfordragonstorulenatlan
Bro got the title of the god of war for slaying a dragon. That's some epic shit.
"casually being stuffed away in some random book" not again..
The necessary power to kill a pyro dragon sovereign as a human in this game's lore tips the entire structure of power scaling so unbelievably on its head that I can't believe it.
A bit off topic but I just noticed that the collar and opening area of the Archon's top forms a star. Nice little subtle design.
In all fairness, I think they got this idea from Dark Souls where you get all the lore from Item Descriptions.. even obscure, secret, and hard to find items as well.
Xbalanque is the name of one of the Maya Hero Twins.
I only noticed "Harboryn" in final battle of Natlan War
mavuikas demon name was revealed in the 5.1 quest as well i remember her saying it
End boss is big bad fire dragon fight in the sky in what resembles a castles turret. Fire dragon does fire laser pew pew and pukes on ground to fill it with lava periodically. Phases will end up being locked. Early on there’s ways to skip it (venti out of bounds, etc bounds tricks). Caused by mega energy woman tricking fire archon and mega morphing her. Neganega.
the second bit of info was in the archon quest
What's wrong with random books and NPCs?
That's what makes a true lore master
WE ARE EVOLVING TO FROMSOFTWARE'S LORE STYLE WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥
Taro, I thought I had the same luck for the rings as you did, but I'm so glad I got them.
No wonder Ochkan was glazing this man so hard 😂😂😂😂😂
Also Xbalanque's demon name is right in our Faces when we deliver the pyro sigils Temple of PAX
He must have the same demon name as mavuika rigth?
Xbalanque is mentioned in world quests, not just book XD
2 years? Fontaine has only been out for a year
Last night i forgot wether people of springs commission quest or xilonen commission quest i read Haborym
Well, at least we know Nahida and Furina are the only ones that Neuvilette wouldn’t judge.
Bro is T-posing the dragon
Xbalanque was revealed as the first pyro archon in one of natlans world quests, cant remeber which one, so not just the book
Neuvillette: i know, i'll mention all of my friends dragons... and they person who killed a dragon
I believe the name Haborym was also mentioned elsewhere, i think during the 5.1 quest
