Don't make them scared. This fever is limited to certain areas of punjab and GB and Northern Pakistan is completely safe. Please brother... I am from this area.
Ya mosquito repellent like mospel by Abbott should be applied to all body parts not covered. Just for precaution. Have a safe traveling.

Skardu gilgit road is tough and tricky road.... Do not forget where it build, on highest and toughest mountains!! It's already a kind of wonder to see roads up there, No?
Oh this is a monumental task. Much respect to the 1000’s that at great risk build these roads.
Gilgit - Skardu road is under construction these days that is why it takes 9-10 Hours for distance of 125 Km... Alternately Skardu - Deosai - Chilum Valley - Astore - Gilgit is a much better Travel choice... it is one of the most scenic & beautiful Trek in Pakistan ... Travel time is 12 Hours by Jeep ...But Journey Break at Astore and visit to Rama Lake is advised .. Thanks

Man! I became anxious when you said you headed towards SKardu. Because Skardu roads are bumpy and still under construction.
Mostly tour companies don't recommend Skardu side for families to visit.
You had better visit Hunza and then on Karakoram Highway towards Passu cones and China Border, thats worth visiting. Hunza has awesome hotels to stay in and mind blowing sceneries .

Jones there are a lot of amazing places you havnt visited yet, you will find beaches, deserts green moutains, stoney brown mountains snowy moutains, amazing rivers all in one country. 5 provinces and each have its own specialty, totally different culture from each other. i hope you will enjoy your stay here...
Best comment uptil now by a Pakistani 👍🏻 we are a big, diverse country with different weather, seasons, environment, atmosphere, ethnicities, languages, cuisine etc. Every city/town/village/mountains/valleys are vastly different from each other 🇵🇰 💗 Like so many different worlds in one basket.
Seriously our people are too good or extra paranoid sometimes, scaring them from the dengue (limited to a small part only) like seasonal stuff doesn't exist in any other country 😂 or being apologetic for no reason about under construction roads or rugged terrain, like these things don't exist anywhere else. Or just giving exaggerated info about less jobs like terrible recession doesn't exist in US, Uk, Canada or the terrible joblessness in india etc 🤦🏻♀️ just goes to show how ungrateful we Pakistanis are or we actually don't know the value of our own gorgeous country! Such people need a huge exposure to the international news and lands.
If it was indians instead of us they would've actually denied that the internet doesn't work in the mountains or start whining that all roads are smooth there he's just lying and he's a hateful person cause he dare to talk negative about india blah blah blah.

Looked like a hectic ride, can weigh down on anyone and you were traveling with a family so more tough for you and all that after one of the toughest trekking tours, hopefully these roads are constructed soon and travel time is shortened. The road from Gilgit onward will get very good. Hopefully you can get some rest before you move on as there is some very good sight seeing Gilgit on wards (which most ppl do) but you should be rested to enjoy.
There are so so many off trek road treks to beautiful landscapes and some treks even more beautiful than K2 trek and not visited at all leading to wonderful sights but due to already a tough tour for you due to K2 trek i would recommend them for next time. Take your time editing videos, resting and enjoying sights untill you get good internet for uploading.
P.S: Most imp issue you highlighted is litter/trash issue in most of Pakistan which hopefully will be tackled soon as for few months lots of campaigns including Plastic ban is in effect including public awareness, but definitely need more attention towards trash and heavy construction pollution. Looking forward to see more stuff soon.
Yes. Trash awareness is so needed and luckily it is picking up steam. I highlight the issue even more in the K2 Trek Videos. Yes we have a couple more videos with rough roads then onto the KKH for some nice smooth travel north.
