Crystal Mountain opened the new Crystal Mountain Bike Park for one day, and we got to demo their new Downhill MTB trails! In this video, we ride Clippin, which is currently the only black diamond trail at Crystal Mountain Bike Park! While the park staff calls this trail a “true black”, I personally think it holds a blue ratings. What do you think?

Great Riding Dude!! The black-diamond trail at the start looks steep is it so in reality??
Steeper that most of what Michigan has to offer, but it’s nothing crazy. I’m guessing that grade at the start is why the trail has a black rating 👌🏼
@@TheShredShedMTB Oh! Great to hear that there are some new steep options to ride in Michigan!!
For sure!
I think I would like that trail.I don't think it would hurt me!
Haha probably! Very unlikely of getting hurt on that trail!
After watching a few videos of Crystal's bike park trails, it seems the trails may be a bit awkward -successive tight radius curves that impede flow, awkward jumps, short wall ride... Is that the case or does it just look that way in the videos. Palmer Woods trails seem to flow better -at least in the videos.
Thanks for any insight and thanks for posting!
Agreed. That being said, these videos were from their demo day the fall before they officially opened and I have heard they they reworked some of the trails since filing these
@@TheShredShedMTB I'll have to head over there and check it this summer.
@edwardjski going there tomorrow for the first time!
@@marcin97 How was it?
@edwardjski Overall fun. But very sandy trails. We rode quick up and down, over 4k ft in elevation gain. Spent full 4 hrs and felt like this is the max you can do, trails get the feeling of being the same at that point. Can't ride down the ski slopes, but I didn't know and got one straight down, clocked 31.5mph. 😆 Definitely lots of fun for one day.
Good video
Thanks!
I love youre chanel
Thank you! Glad you like it!
👍
What was your favorite trail there?
@@TheShredShedMTB I’d say the dirt symphony
