Wow. The amount of work this has got to been have, specially the lines that fit so well with the characters for the most part. Congratulations. Hope this blasts off into viral.
As someone else mentions, there are uses of Beak Bomb in Tooie such as damaging Mr Patch in Witchyworld, entering the windows of Grunty Industries, Fire Ice world arguably has some of the most flying segments --- but, as you've all noted, there are just not many segments that couldn't also be solved using a different move. Honestly these two games would lend themselves best to a Pokemon-esque reveal that PSYCHE! After beating the main game, you should be allowed to visit the other game's worlds.
i'm more a tooie enjoyer so i never noticed how much they polished tooie lol (for the feet thing, it's optimising to get more ressource elsewhere, which paid off imo. n64 years tech was very experimental too), i always thought the backpack was also animated in kazooie :O
In Grunty industries worker’s quarters 1: the fridge references other games 2: occasionally, the occupied bathroom will light up and a rabbit can be heard on the toilet 3: since the mirror uses duplicate models for the reflection, if you stick Kazooie’s head thru, the duplicate will stick it’s head out of the mirror
in addition to #2, he will ask for a plumber, Kazooie will reference Mario. Was changed in the XBLA version to mention him in a more subtle way of needing an italian plumber
I totally get why they got rid of those toe polygons on the feet, seeing as how the model would switch to a version with less polygons anyway as soon as the camera returned to it's normal position in the original game.
They should, either the current Rare should start giving a damn and stop with Sea Of Thieves or PlayTonic Games should acknowledge their original creation and remake the first two and then create a new one
You missed the biggest, heartbreaking detail of all: In BT Banjo’s snout has waaaaaay less jiggle physics. I loved in BK how his snout just bounced all over the place for every movement and action, it was very cartoony and added a lot of character :/
This is awesome I like how this RUclipsr still uploads Banjo-Kazooie related content and its subtle differences between the first and second games Anyway, the pads for the Shock Jump and Flight in both games looked different I wanna play these games again
When I see these kinda videos I don’t know what’s more impressive. The fact that games have all these details or the fact that even with limited hardware the devs where thinking of these details. Is really impressive how many a thing I overlooked in these games!
Some of these are as subtle as a cough to hide a 2 second fart. Lol great video though. Love how you added in commentary between banjo kazooie and mumbo.
Can we talk about Mumbo specifically in the next part? Like how his skull changed, subtle change in feather direction on his head and most terrifyingly... the back of his head. Definitley dig the "whole head" skull he wears in Tooie than his "mask" in kazooie. That said, makes the canonical thing about Grunty casting a spell to change Mumbo's head to a skull a bit flimsy, unless he is able to change them somehow? I'm thinking too hard for a videogame about a bear and bird lol
Wow. Banjo's model in Tooie was way more different from Kazooie than I thought. I kinda thought they recycled his model from the first and kept it as is.
@@oldkingcoal4376 I personally find the pacing and level design to be atrocious and the backtracking unbearable, among many other things. I much prefer Kazooie's more condensed and straightforward experience. But I get why people would prefer Tooie, it's just not my type of game.
That's very interesting. I really can't understand why did the feet get downgraded. That didn't save much computing power for sure. Btw, can I ask where do you get the dialogue voices from? Do you just record random dialogue from the game and put the sound in the video? Because I am searching for dialogue generator for quite some time.
Interesting in tooie theres no celebration animation...unlike Mario in every 3D game he always celebrates getting a star or a shine...hell even the moons
The game worlds are bigger, so I guess they needed to scale back some things to compensate. The feet and celebrations are only minor details so that's probably why they got downgraded
If i made a qol mod for tooie, the bear & bird would say this when you get all 10 jiggies in a world Banjo: Looks like we got all the Jiggies we could get Kazooie! Kazooie: Theres still more to get though Bear Bro, i can smell it... oh wait...
An interesting change from Kazooie to Tooie is the transition from the Running Shoes to the Turbo Trainers. On the US v1.0 and PAL versions of Kazooie, the Running Shoes had a star on them. On US v1.1 and Japanese, they were changed to have a lighting bolt on them. This also carried over to Tooie, in which now they're called Turbo Trainers instead of Running Shoes.
Yeah. People still say the insanity that the psx had better graphics… the n64 and the gamecube were much MUCH higher specs than concurrent sony platforms, but nobody bought them, while buying successive lower spec nintendo condoles… and then they wonder why nintendo still refuse to make decent hardware consoles!
@@1r0zz The reaseon people say the Ps1 had better graphics is because they haven´t played Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie.😆. No really, is just that most Ps1 games tended to have better or more stable fps than most N64 games and also lots of N64 games were using very low resolution, filtered textures, plus blurry antialiasing and dithering mixed with low resolution 320x240 rendering. But in the case of Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie, both games use fairly decent quality textures and they don´t suffer from the excess blur some other N64 games suffered.
The RUclips channel Kaze Emanuar has helped show just how powerful the N64 really is. It really is a beast of a machine, if only one makes the RAMBUS go vroom vroom.
Whoever is writing the lines for the characters needs a raise, it's spot on! ♥
Wow. The amount of work this has got to been have, specially the lines that fit so well with the characters for the most part. Congratulations. Hope this blasts off into viral.
god, banjo tooie is THAT GOOD for an N64 game honestly outstanding.
DOnt get me wrong, still love the first game, but man Tooie is really amazing.
once again, the presentation of this is super cute and fun! good job!!
I find it interesting that the Beak Bomb got that update in Banjo-Tooie, because I can't think of a single time where you have to use it in that one.
It's great for covering long distances quickly in several worlds as well as the Mr. Patch boss fight
I always used it to travel faster across long distances
Maybe they upgraded it with speedrunners in mind?
The thing i like and dislike at the same time is how in tooie, no switch needs this move just step in them. In kazooie they all need this move

I love this series. Really shows off how many little details Rare crammed into Tooie.
i'm more a tooie enjoyer so i never noticed how much they polished tooie lol (for the feet thing, it's optimising to get more ressource elsewhere, which paid off imo. n64 years tech was very experimental too), i always thought the backpack was also animated in kazooie :O

@@tylerharper5306 tooie is better on a replay, it helps a lot to pay attention to where you are and where you're going
5:09 Kazooie's giggle is currently living rent free in my head
Rare did a lot of stellar work on the lighting and in game shadows, in Banjo and others.
Your videos are always very high quality!Love how the characters of the games actually talk in your videos
In Grunty industries worker’s quarters
1: the fridge references other games
2: occasionally, the occupied bathroom will light up and a rabbit can be heard on the toilet
3: since the mirror uses duplicate models for the reflection, if you stick Kazooie’s head thru, the duplicate will stick it’s head out of the mirror

Bonus Fact: The Looygi Bros. are the best RARE sleuths on the Isle 'O Hags!🐻Loved Mumbo's narration!
Thank you so much! ❤️ Best shaman in all game says thanks too :)
Kazooie's Flying animation in Tooie is less stiffer too, Her wings bend more giving the motion more life.
I totally get why they got rid of those toe polygons on the feet, seeing as how the model would switch to a version with less polygons anyway as soon as the camera returned to it's normal position in the original game.
Gotta save resources
I wonder if any Rare employees or ex-employees have seen these awesome videos?
I'm not sure.
They should, either the current Rare should start giving a damn and stop with Sea Of Thieves or PlayTonic Games should acknowledge their original creation and remake the first two and then create a new one

Im loving those kind of videos, please keep it up!
I realy missed the dance after collecting a puzzle in the second game.
With how much harder the jiggies were in Tooie, it would've been much more satisfying to have it.
This is awesome

I love this Banjo-Kazooie takeovers! And now Mumbo Joins! ❤
I’d laugh if Grunty joins in, though it would be hard to because of her rhymin’.
@Zerethos
Except in Banjo-Tooie because her sisters told her that her rhyming is annoying.

Awesome! I’ve been playing through banjo tooie again the past couple of weeks. Almost finished with it now but it’s my absolute favorite!
Bro, how did you time this up so well? I grew up playing banjo kazooie and just began playing banjo tooie last week for the first time ever
Some of these are as subtle as a cough to hide a 2 second fart.
Lol great video though. Love how you added in commentary between banjo kazooie and mumbo.
Great video and great writing. Love seeing you guys compare stuff
Surprised Mumbo didn't mention how his looks changed between Kazooie and Tooie
I remember seeing the backpack lid animation and being wowed by the little detail when I was a kid.
I understand that a lot of people don't like the backtracking but this video is proof that Banjo Tooie is a great sequel and basically an upgrade.
not if you like feet
Yep but on real n64 framerate is terible in tooie
i started playing kazooie yesterday and now this video comes out
Brilliantly presented, wahay!!
i love these videos so much

Mumbo did great job as did Looygi Bros. Should be super proud❤
I have this kind of trivial content on in the background, no way in hell I'm going to sit reading it
we need more!!!
The shadow thing is genuinely impressive.
Now I know why I hated the swimming in BT and I had no issues in BK. The camera is and always will be the final boss
except you also have access to first person swimming

Have u seen the 3D Platformer Bolt Bot Screwy Viruses? Kinda looks like a retro 3d platformer like banjo kazooie etc
You….you can…you can EXTEND the Beak Bomb?!?!?
one is good, one is bad, next question.
Which emulator did you guys use for this capture?? It looks crispy as hell!!
Most of this video is made using Nintendo Switch Online :)

Tooie kinda reminds me of gta5 as kazooie gta 4 lol
Also reminds me of Portal and Portal 2
Explains why Kazooie is so much better than Tooie since GTA 4 is much better than 5.
