The first time I took my 7.3 in to smog, the guy was like, " how are supposed to smog a truck, that has no smog equipment?" Was kinda funny. He turned on the dash, no check engine lights, revved the motor, walked to the back looked for smoke, no smoke. Looked at me said, "you passed!" Fastest smog ever!

No smog check for Diesels in California for 1997 model year and older.....therefore, you can mod your rig anyway you want as long as you don't tell the DMV....
What tune do you run. I purchased the hydra, wanted jelly built tunes but no joy. I've been thinking about getting riffraff tunes or getting a banks tuner. Currently truck is registered in ca but I have option to register in Yuma.
I run the 140hp Extreme tune that comes with the hydra, I just don’t drive super hard. I use the most powerful tune so it gets up and goes easily but I also baby the throttle to prevent damage you know.
Truck is sick bro. Funny, I too have a lifted white 7.3 and HAD a Dogo. Off topic bro, but make sure you train him cause when mine (Zeus) hit 18-24 months, he was aggressive with other alpha males. Most people don't realize that Dogo's are protectors to the fullest and the strength can be frightening for some. Some may say, "you don't know what you're talking about", but I've had pits, boxer, doberman, cane corso, bull dog and by far the Dogo is the most powerful dog I've had. Do your homework on your dog. Speak to others who have or had them and I'm sure you'll do fine. Truck and Dogo are badass!

I work with his training at least 4-5 times per week and also socialize him a LOT with other dogs and people. He’s super friendly with other dogs, and great with kids so far. Never even growled at another animal so far. Even gets along with cats! Lol Hopefully he stays that way. I’ll continue to work with him as much as possible but so far he’s been nothing but great!!!
In Saskatchewan we can drive deleted diesel but you get caught with over 6" of lift and tires sticking out like yours big fines possible impound and your insurance will be cancelled until you bring the truck into compliance.
I was told by my mechanic in VA that in order to pass inspection, my 2002 F350 has to have a cat - but didn't they come without them from factory? Great videos, by the way, man. I really appreciate your channel. Maybe in a couple years I'll send in my truck to you so you can rate it. :)

Finally your back! I wanna know how your headlights are holding up, I was going to get some but some of the reviews say they the lenses fog up and I’m not sure how the lighting is.
Mine don’t fog up bro but the clear coat is starting to crack and peel. Other than that they are great and you could probably make the clear coat last a lot longer if you add some clear coat before installing and take care of them. I didn’t do anything like that and I’m pretty sure they’re well over a year old now.

I don’t even know anything about the newer fords 😂 I only know about the 7.3 cuz it’s the only truck I’ve had that I actually worked on myself and did research on so I learned everything I know by building my 7.3. Other than that I’m far from a mechanic on any other vehicle.
He didn’t even notice. Really the kc300x wastegate looks just like the stock wastegate unless you reeaally know what your looking at. But the smog guy didn’t even notice. And I had my red vacuum line disconnected from the wastegate and he even pointed it out and had me reconnect it in order to pass smog so he looked directly at the wastegate and didn’t notice that it was an aftermarket one. Lol
So the KC is CARB? My truck has the Banks Quick Spool kit with the anti-surge housing, impeller and Big Head but the previous owner removed the sticker. I’m in California as well right outside the Bay Area but my smog guy didn’t see my banks stuff. I just did the EBO delete and a ton of Riffraff parts too. I also use the SCT tuner not Hyrda.

My 01 passes smog without a cat. You shouldn’t need it.
