Richie will always be a part of the band in my mind.
No Richie- no Bon Jovi
Not in your mind. He is essentially half owner of the band in terms of creativity behind songs and input into the sound.
And that song was huge hit!
The only thing the doc revealed was that Richie was hurt by Shanks doing guitar parts and was effectively replaced and most importantly, disrespected. He wasn't just some hired gun. He was 1/2 of THE magic that made Bon Jovi what it was.
Shanks has to go.
That's true but he didn't show up for those guitar parts either. But I think and I believe they should have let him have a say in the songs on that album when he finally did show up for the album.. It was probably the record company but it was probably rushed. I think Jon admitted that or the band did. Whatever the case the disrespect he felt probably pushed him over the top and made it easier for him to leave.
This was my take away too.
Ya I think that was it too he got butt hurt problem is he wasn’t coming in to do his parts and they didn’t wanna wait for him , Jon is driven when it’s time to getter done it’s time not waiting
Couldn't agree more.
Without Richie there would be no Bon Jovi as we know it.
Good! Good foil player and singer...Sambora is a good player
JNOJOVI❤JONBONJOVI JOVIS❤
I just finished watching the Doc, it was ok, I understand it is Jon's band, that being said, wow what an ego.
the doc was a marketing piece. they really didn't go into any real detail. it felt "safe" to me.
he/they would no longer be there without this "ego" I call it personal strength, which he also had to fight to keep!
❤
Christmass isnt Christmass without you and bon Jovi isnt Bon Jovi without Richie
Too funny, but no surprise when you think about the world of Rock & Roll!
Why Diane Lane - Jon Bon Jovi and Moscow Music Peace Festival
missing?🤔🤔🤔
Moscow music peace festival was covered.
No Richie No Party 🎸🎸🎸
They said the band is a family, but how many family members go attend Alec funeral ???
Hope Richie comes back
He won't, but he does have a new album coming out. A couple of the songs are out and it sounds good.
I'm starting to freak out when I keep hearing that from people!
Jon is leaving out the part about the recording of what about now and how he let shanks do guitar parts.
And, you are leaving out the part where Richie wasn't showing up for things and was totally unreliable about so many things.
Well if you're a main contributer and all of a sudden Jon is listening to Shanks and not asking for your input wouldn't you be missed? The bottom line is Jon has a huge ego and it should be called the Jon Bon Jovi Band not Bon Jovi!
Richie was a mess
@@lindajones4742 bla, bla, bla. JBJ is a vindictive and authoritarian boss. Surprised RS hanged in there for so long. Money, I supposed. The formula worked, so...
@@tommigun102470 It's not ego. He is the owner/boss of the band. He manages all thing and give paycheck to his workers. It's business, and he is a very good businessman.
Oh the things Ritchie doesn’t get the credit for don’t end there.
so Jon avoids why Richie left?!
no RICHIE still avoids saying why! Why should Jon have to explain, he didn't leave and Richie didn't even talk to him for years until the hall of fame
Jon says in another interview he has no regrets but I bet if he was being real he would have waited and showed compassion for Richie while he was going through some stuff. If only. Jon wanted to rush an album. He should have waited for Richie. Yes, Richie my have been a thorn but still. The action to replace Richie's guitar parts was a mistake
The whole doc was sugar coated. Very disappointed in it. Love the band but the doc, not so much.
Well Bon Jovi is sugar coated so...
Jon wants to be Springsteen, and he won't share .
still think his missus is a better player, so so good!
Oh don't get me wrong he's no slouch.
They are no longer dating
Haven’t listened to the whole interview and I haven’t seen the documentary but just listening to his voice here is sad. It’s obvious he isn’t capable of singing.
Err, early morning
See the documentary, it is excellent. Lots covered.
@@user-qf8bw5lw5f I will see it eventually. But no way would I pay anything to see them unless that voice improves. A big stadium tour will shred it moreso.
When Sambora left they musical credibility took a massive dive. Richie's talent as a writer is very obvious, listen to his solo stuff. He was the musical creative spark they had to have without doubt. All the Jon material is musically bland starting with the likes of bed of roses. Very simple. Homebound Train, Neurotica etc is all Richie
Without Richie this band would be nothing
🤣🤣🤣
Whatttttttt? 😂
If Jon doesn't agree with the idea of forming the band in the first place, Richie would be nothing too.
So true, not just his playing and voice, but all the songs they wrote together.
@@benkraze3103He played with Tico and Alec in Message. Alec is actually credited for bringing them together I am told. I wish Alec would have stayed, but this is how band life goes.
Sad that he supports Biden. Shows how out ot touch he really is.
Pretty sure that's mandatory in celebrityland.
Give up ur done.
