  • An estimated 500 million women and girls worldwide lack access to menstrual products and adequate facilities for menstrual hygiene management. In Kenya, 65% of women have no access to sanitary products.
The Menstrual Gap takes place in Kibera, one of the largest slums in Kenya and worldwide. Throughout a journey in her day to day, Toma, the protagonist, shows in the documentary the difficulties teenage girls have to face in Kenya and other parts of the world just for the mere fact of menstruating. Together with INTIMINA’s team and Save a Girl Save a Generation, they go through a new path in the pursuit of menstrual justice.
As part of the campaign, INTIMINA will donate one euro to Save a Girl Save a Generation every time the documentary is shared during one month. This donation will go to support the full range of Save a Girl’s work, which includes the contribution to women’s education, health and leadership.
