Egypt's kicking butt he's a baller. Feel bad for them having to carry their team but loved their teammates last troop unit sitting in that small little spot doing nothing LOL
This egyptian player did amazing job.If his general was still alive he might even won this and all odds were against him since both his allies died out fast.Anyway great job egyptian player this was very amusing to watch whomever you may be.
I literally screamed in frustration when I saw the Spartan player pull his general back like that. It would have been better to send up other units to solidify that battle line; falling him back? Without support? That was just stupid.
@@panthercombo7263 That's fair, Warscape really punishes unsupported retreats when compared to other Total War engines. Hopefully, he's learned from that. Well played, by the way, you did pretty solidly as Athens.
I thought that must have been a mis-click. But then again, his micro wasn't quite there, those 2 units of hoplites by the wall stood out their entire fights after Macedon attacked him.

Most war games are truly about the metas of the game, not as much of the realistic military tactics as they may not be as good as they were irl in a computer game
Hey apollo been following you for years now man. Personally my favorite youtuber right now re watching all of the 1212ad videos hope more come out! You're videos help me through some tough stuff and it always makes my day being able to relax and watch some nice total war.
Leo O'Ryan I don’t think it’s official sadly I don’t have it but it’s the game I’m trying to get right now. It’s probably on mod db like third age or steam workshop if it’s compatible.
Pixelated Apollo is literally a God making fun of his subjects, like the part where the hunters are running for their lives and I quote "running for their lives" and pixie is like "hehehhehe(inhales, exhales) making fun. This is OUTRAGEOUS!! #virtuallivesmatter
Honestly, this was the most hilarious video that you ever posted, Apollo, in my opinion. Reasons are that both your commentary and the actions of the players were just very funny to listen to.
41:04 damn that animation charge dive of one Thorax Swordsman on the lower left camera to the pikeman is one of the best animation of total war. Cant understanf why Rome 2 is such a hated game
Rome 2 had two critical hills to overcome. The first was the atrocious launch. The game was considerably buggy when it was first released, and that earned the ire of the Total War community. The second hill was comprised of the people who played Rome 1 back in the day and couldn't shake off their nostalgia for the original. Don't get me wrong, Rome 1 was great for its time. However, Rome 2 improved on it in every way (once all the bugs were fixed of course).
Once in a siege battle, me and 3 rookie players had to defend the city. I played sparta and the other three played epirus, seleucids and macedon. But they were so inexperienced that we barely won.the reason why we won is because the attackers ran out of time since there were literally eight units of pikemen(two per faction) on the field of battle
I've been binge watching Apollo's Rome 2 videos and even started playing it again. Awesome as always, Rome 2 was probably my favourite in the entire series.
Honestly that was a such a big mistake by the Athenean player to send in that picked hoplites unit at 45:00, could've cost the defenders the game whilst having it in the pocket.
I love 3v3 s. So many different ways games could go. I recall a 1212ad game where a player won on a flank but got recked pretty hard yet tried to be as much of a nuisance as possible to prevent his ally in the center from getting overrun.
This game gave me way too much anxiety. Egypt player did great, but the defenders really almost gave that game to them. Excited gameplay regardless. Good plays 👍🏼
Little bit older video I know, but I'm watching it now and commenting because I knew it to be pointless throwing several units into a chokepoint, but I didn't know the troops actually exhausted even when they're not engaged in the fighting. That thought never crossed my mind, so thank you for making me slightly better at Total War lol
I don't try to criticize players who participate in these battles because they help with content and might be new to the game. However, it was really entertaining to watch that Egypt player, especially compared to the other players on his team.
Frank: I killed a Spartan a royal one! Random soldier: good for you frank. Frank 2 seconds later: ok time to go back to battle doesn't matter that I killed a royal Spartan anymore.

Well, it's really frustrated to see how the Egyptian try to comeback in the battle, but the defense team are more numerous and that is impossible to win. Honestly, their teammates are terrible commanders, principally the Arverni player (a very noob in all ways). Killer_ruhe deserved win this siege battle, however this is a 3 vs 3, and that is the problem.
@@panthercombo7263 to be fair hes right, the egyptian player had to basically swim up a waterfall because of the fact the arverni player threw away 6 units of troops for basically nothing and 2 sets of archers to cav for basically nothing, making the athenian player the only real one on defence that could hold egypt, was frustrating knowing that had it been a 2v2 without athens/arverni it was a easy win for him.
The Egyptians just hired Mercenaries of different factions than their allies who conscripts proper soldiers yet they still manage to have the majority of damage to the defenders
If your archer are going to get hit by cav with no where to go, then turn and face the cav, hold your ground and shoot them. Hopefully you can kill half the cav, saving a few of your men.

You gotta remember, arverni may have lost 20% of its troops, but so did baktria and you can not face down macedon with a weakened force.
