Giovanni Battista Costanzi (1704-1778) was an Italian composer and cellist. He is the Kapellmeister of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. He is also famous for having been the teacher of the great Luigi Boccherini.
Do you know Giovanni Costanzi already?! He was a teacher of Luigi Boccherini and has been called "Giovannino del Violoncello". And after listening to this piece you will know why. 🙂 We are looking forward to reading all your comments. Thanks for sharing and your thumbs up! Thanks to the really well done video (bravo Tobias! excellent!) I can remember now how much fun this little piece was! At the beginning I wasn't really sure about it, while rehearsing, but later Giovanni explained to us. And the result here is just fantastic! Very fun to watch! Bravi!
Thank you for digging out these lesser known masters. Well worth performing.
Absolutamente precioso.
Preziosa musica e Preziosa esecuzione

Ja, sind sie 👍
@@BremerBarockorchester Sehr schön 😊
Is there some reason the soloist couldn't wear something a tad more formal, at least a black shirt to go with the look of the orchestra?
