Some people ask why any of them go on about being poor despite now possibly earning much above the national average, for sure they are now middle class at the very least.
I believe it's because they are being exposed to more luxuries and higher classes where the environment usually has a bunch of mega rich elites with "old money" attached to their birth certificate. Yes bart has a porsche, geo with a BMW and a ballin house but understand that the people they're mingling with behind the scenes come from a place where buying 5x those items wouldn't put a dent to their wealth. JK & friends ultimately realises the wealth they've accrued isn't even an eyebrow sweat to a cup of water in comparison.
It's to the degree that your lifetime earnings measure no more than a fun fortnight in dubai for these elites. So I understand why they still perceive themselves as still being "poor".
Anyone who's ever worked in any role associated with luxury products will understand how nauseatingly loaded these people are, it's no joke to say their dog's live a better life than me and the other 97% of this world.

Lol, I recall hearing one of the Dragons on BBC's Dragon's Den (Shark Tank) put a clause on his kids' trust fund that a) whatever they make from gainful employment, the trust fund will match it, and b) if they work in certain professions (like nursing or non profit or whatever), the trust will double what they make from those professions.

Wills and Trusts are very important, especially involving next of kin; health proxies too. It needs to be as specific as it could be, because people get crazy when it comes to distribution of assets. i.e. There are some cases where someone will go to the extent of killing a close relative just for insurance money. Families, especially siblings, fight all the time in regards to who got what.
The least one can do is create a Will. Creating one is better than not having one; additions can be made to it through a codicil. Upon an, intestate (without a will) death, your State of residency takes charge of the distributions. It can be a very bad idea, because the State does not know your family to determine who should get what, especially in situations involving multiple children, steps/half relatives, etc... A Will is not just for "old people" and a Trust is not just for the "Rich".

This is the only thing that bugs me about David. Always saying he's poor. I'm sure he makes more than me and I think I'm doing pretty decent for myself. I'm not saying he's loaded because he still obviously has to work, but when you and your friends can think about going to buying apartment complexes and other business investments, you're not broke. Those types of real-estate require 30-40% down payments and that's a huge a chunk of change. The fact that his parents even own a convenience store is better off than a lot of people. I'm sure David is grateful in a lot of ways but when he says crap like he's always so poor, its a slap in the face to people who would kill to be in his position.

I would have been better off if my father was alive than dead. Success is granted through family's ability to aid each person within it to a position higher than what society will ever give them. Perfect example of that is this story. The family watch out for their own and no one else gives a shit about them unless they are wealthy.
You can build a trust through a insurance company like my father did. It grew over time and money, as long as he lived, was added to the account by him. After his death the account had a 3% gain each year which is great allegedly.
