He has gone through a long tough way to won this gold medal. He had even participated in design the music, the costume and all his jumps together. And when he got injured almost three months before this Olympics he had to withdrew from all other competitions and to quit skating for his right ankle to heal. Eventually he had to rebuild the whole program and decided to stop the ankle treatment but had eaten the strongest pain killer in order to execute the performance of this game. What impressed me most was that after having gone through all these horrible situations, he could still keep calm to face the problems and to find a way to fix them. His determination is amazing and that’s what made him a true champion. Incredible !
Its your opinion...not an universal statement because in my opinion Evgeny Plushenko is the Greatest and I will give you two reasons: One, Evgeny won two Olympic Golds for perfect programs, no mistakes Two, Evgeny lost one Gold against Yagudin for one fall in the short program everything else Perfect. And Evgeny lost his other Gold in Vancouver until now...I dont know why! Lysacek didn't even execute one quad! And even Evgeny had one unsteady landing he did not fell! While I watched Yuzu winning his first gold with more than two falls and this second gold with more than two bad landings...my question is why? Evgeny was PERFECTION on ice all of the times he won a Gold or a competition. For me he is the Greatest one, he never dissapointed us!!
@@mercedesvazquez9304 Plushenko won just one Olympic gold medal. I agree that he deserved the gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics, but Yuzuru performs much more difficult jumps than Plushenko's with a higher risk of falling. It's a new era.But I love Plushenko too.He is one of the best.
Yuzuru didn't even win the free skate here (Nathan bested him handsomely, as he has done relentlessly for the whole Olympic cycle). Had Nathan not messed up, he would've deservedly won gold. Silver lining: Plushenko getting hurt prevented Russia from what would've been even more epic cheating to give him the gold (even more than what they did to Yuna). I wish Yuzuru and Javier had trained with anybody other than Brian Orser, who works ok as a women's trainer but is impossibly cheesy as a male trainer.
Yuzuru really creates a moment like no one. His mindset and passion are so strong. Even when it's not perfect, he manages to capture everyone's attention. You can't take your eyes from him!
He performed 2 flawless Seimei in 2015 and set World Record but there's still something so Regal bout this performance ❤️ he fumbled, stumbled and at the same time soooo determined to not fall on his back ❤️ and that last step sequence still is the best for me ❤️
when you pick up a perfect skater, there are a lot function to be included, not only technical, ellegance, artstistry, flexible, light, smooth, musical, Yuzuru has all of them, but with Nathan, i am sorry, maybe his jumps is good but if compare to overall being a perfect magic like Yuzuru has, Nathan surely is not on Yuzuru's level yet. Even a lot of experiences tv commentators and experts said that.. and not mention for his magic attraction. Nobody could be as great as Yuzuru, he is just definitely the one and the only, the GOAT!
@@Parie_fawny1207 he's getting better at controlling his emotions and does his programs calmly yes, but he just can't change the way his upper body to completely relax into his jump. Because you can notice how stiff it is on each landing especially in 4 combination.
There are something special about his jumps. He has that height and take big spaces on the ice. His arms is in an amazing position while tucking it in while he jump. His arms is so tight in the rotation that's why his jump look so flawless and smooth.

People arguing about yuzurus skills with nathan chen oh please... nathan with 6 clean quads and some misses on other jumps= 215 points... yuzuru with only 3 clean quads can score 219...
Hanyu has other skills that are just better than Chen - musicality (or is it just better choreo? idk) and flexibility among them. I think quads are def impressive and Chen is a quad king but holistically, I believe that Yuzuru scoring higher than Chen is no mistake.
You might want to correct your title as it says “team event.” Hanyu didn’t participate in the Japan team event due to his injury so this is the men’s single LP at the Olympics.

Agree but Nathan is getting better artistically. But I think Nate started to relax and got into the music just after all his jumps. So....

わーNBC独自カメラのフリーは初めて見たかも。最初のジャンプのカメラなんてベストポジション！いつ見てもSEIMEIは歴史に残る名プログラムだな。四大陸で五輪と同じこれとバラ１滑るとか。当時より３０秒短くなったフリーの構成をどうするか？個人的に大好きな最期のハイドロとイナバウアーが入るシークエンス見たいけど短くなるのかなあ？なんにせよ楽しみです！

People arguing about yuzurus skills with nathan chen oh please... nathan with 6 clean quads and some misses on other jumps= 215 points... yuzuru with only 3 clean quads can score 219...

Hanyu has other skills that are just better than Chen - musicality (or is it just better choreo? idk) and flexibility among them. I think quads are def impressive and Chen is a quad king but holistically, I believe that Yuzuru scoring higher than Chen is no mistake.
Nathan jumps. Yuzuru skates. Thats the difference. 😁
