I think it's impossible learn a so kind difficult genre of music just only "listening" and copying other bands, without thecnical learning too.It requires a folk-classical-fingerpicking background? Make use of open or alternate tunings, develop your rhythm, get familiar with using odd time signatures. There's so many different ways to go about it. I use my fingers, just like this guitarist and I feel that allows everything to flow much more natural. I play very melodic and rhythmic and it's obvious I'm influenced by guitarists like Tim Collis from This Town Needs Guns and Yvette Young, but there's so many different styles of guitarists in the genre

My nails are always so short because I have a bad habit of biting my nails that I'm trying to break XP I've never learned a song that has required me to do any glitch tapping, but I always see other people glitch tapping, and it sounds amazing! One of these days I'll pick up my guitar an learn how to do it!
