    Doing Pui is my favorite place. I went there every trip to Chiangmai.
    By the way, if you have spare time after the trip to Pai, the Phuping Palace is recommended. Not only to see how beautiful of the late king's place, but also can imagine how could the vise king changed the mountains that covered with opium fields to be legal cash crops.

      We'll definitely revisit Doi Pui next time we're in Chiang Mai. No idea the mountains used to be covered in opium crops! Very interesting.

    Great video. Your B roll and editing keeps getting better and better. Really happy to see you two wearing real helmets.Theres a saying, "if you have a cheap head wear a cheap helmet" LOL. Only thing I would still suggest are some gloves. Also they sell these really thin spandex "sleeves" that protect your arms from getting sunburned. Sorry to sound like a crank. Just consider me your old uncle looking out for you youngsters LOL

    I was there 3 weeks ago and it was amazing. You are right about one thing. The temples in the city and in the forest feel and look different. If you get a chance, you can talk to the monks and ask questions of their culture. The only thing is that women are not allowed to ask them any questions. That is what I was told. Enjoy your trip there... :o)

    • @OnePackWanderers
      @OnePackWanderers  3 года назад

      Ah, really good tip about not talking to the monks unless you're a guy. We would have definitely messed that up.

    • @j-op4303
      @j-op4303 2 года назад

      That is not true. You can talk to a Buddhist monk regardless of your gender. You are not allowed to touch/hug/shake hand with a monk if you are female.

    • @OnePackWanderers
      @OnePackWanderers  2 месяца назад

      Lots of rental places you can just walk into around Chiang Mai. There’s often an option between cash deposit (1-3k baht) or leaving your passport with them. Obviously the cash deposit is much more sensible.
      Mango Scooters, in particular, are fantastic. They maintain their bikes better than a lot of other places and the prices were more reasonable as well.
