Props on how you did this! Typically, people will slide each movie out shelf, read the title, occasionlly make a generic comment (such as “I really like this one”) then slide it back in. You, on the other hand, tore through each movie with a concise and meaningful comment. Although your video was a whopping 3.5 hours, you didn’t waste any time. Nice job!
Hate when they do that! This is the only way while showing your collections
Doing it this way is the only kind of collection video I personally like to watch, so I knew this was the only way I would do it. Glad you enjoyed it!
I have never sat through a video this long on youtube in my life. I enjoyed every second and found myself talking as if I was there lol As a rabid movie collector this was pure joy. I love your channel and loved seeing your collection. Considering how few physical stores there are to even see DVDs in person this was so good. Thank you for sharing.
THIS! Is why the channel is the best out there articulate synopsis of each title and zero break. Keep them coming buddy
Very nice collection!! Really appreciate the comments on all the movies. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making this video. Really appreciate it and very much enjoyed it!!
Thank you so much for watching!
Hey I'm new here I'm Sasha! Watched/listened to this at work and made it thru to the end. Your collection organization is one of the most aesthetically pleasing that I've ever seen lol 😌
Wow, thank you so much!
Awesome physical media collection buddy. Wow 1200+ titles Daniel, boy that's a ton. I always love & enjoy adding new titles to my collection.
Thanks man!
@@cobwebschannel No problem bro!
I absolutely love your background set-up you got going there buddy. I also love how all your Kino Lorber titles are lined up nice & neatly on the self.
Duuuuuuudddde!!! I didn't know you were such a big fan of MATINEE! That is one of my favorites! The vintage 1960s Americana, the movie theater vibe, talking movies just everything about that film checks every box for me!! The 4k is one of the best I've seen! So cool that you are a big fan of that one!
Heck yeah, it’s literally a perfect movie for me!
@@cobwebschannel I feel the same! checks all of my boxes lol - Im working on a video about films that feature movie theaters because there is just something about that for me...and then of course vintage/retro vibes (I am American Vintage afterall lol) ...btw, I am the guy who watches this whole video in 1 sitting and then lets it play in the background while Im working haha
Dude - first off, fantastic collection! Appreciate the variety of horror subgenre’s and era’s. Second kudos on the flow going from title to title without many breaks or edits! Cannot wait to hear your thoughts on the Puppet Master / Full Moon movies. From how you talk about other movies, I think you can see passed their low budget and appreciate what those movies are trying to do. In addition to the early Puppet Master’s, I recommend Trancers, Head of the Family, Dollman, and Blood Dolls.
Also impressed your only drop was at 3:21:38 but was worried when you leaned over to pick it up all the stacks started wobbling lol.
“You’re outta control!” Regis Philbin🤩
😈
Thank you SO much for being willing to sit for almost 3 1/2 hours and do such a thorough job of going through all those movies. I will admit that I watched it over 3 or 4 viewings so it was much more of a marathon for you that it was for me.
There were so many movies that you had not only unwrapped yet but hadn't ever watched that I have seen and I thought oh...you really need to see that movie. Unfortunately I didn't think to write them down so I can't tell you which ones specifically. I will say that most of them were older classics. "The Aviator" is the only one I can remember that was a more recent movie. It's great.Maybe someday you can pull all the movies you haven't ever seen and haven't unwrapped, and put them in a separate stack to remind you to get to them. There would be a lot of great movies in that stack.
When I started watching your channel I thought it was going to be exclusively horror/slasher movies. I've been very pleased to see that your taste in movies is very wide ranging.
One western I haven't seen that you have in your collection that I think you would enjoy is "The Professionals" with Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Claudia Cardinale and other great actors.
Thank you for the detailed commentary on the movies! 🍿 Truly enjoyed it.
Imagine doing all this and forgetting to hit record 😂😂 love the video!
Fantastic collection buddy, had to watch in three parts though, love all the classic stuff you have in your collection.
Thank you!
Just finished watching the entire video. I had a great time viewing your collection- and what a fantastic collection it is! Thank you for sharing your passion with like minded fanatics!
Wow, thank you so much!
A+ video!
Awesome showcasing of the collection, like a Blu-Ray/4K Odyssey!
Great collection!
My goodness you have seen a lot of movies. 😂 Love your energy, nice vid :)
Took me 3 days to get through the whole vid! I salute your dedication! That is a lot of blu-rays. Kept waiting for the crash with all those piles 😉. Was shocked it took until 2h40 for anything remotely like that to happen. There would have been boxes everywhere if it had been me.
Glad I’m not the only one who still has discs in their plastic wrap after ages (have to admit some of my DVDs are still in their wrapping and I have been buying almost exclusively Blu-rays for years now).
So many great movies in your collection! Blade was the first ever DVD I bought and I think I upgraded it to the same Blu-ray release you have. You're right, Blade II is the best of the three.
I was making notes on lots of the titles until about 2/3rds of the way through, but realised that would make any comment far too long, so I will just have to search out the individual vids on your channel I haven’t seen yet, and comment there.
Hope your voice is doing okay and thanks for a very entertaining watch.
Honestly, I salute YOUR dedication for actually watching all this. 😂 Thank you!!
2:18 "But this is a good movie about... cancer." LOL
I hope it ain't a comedy.
It’s kind of a dramedy.
It is a comedy drama. It's a great movie. Very heartwarming about friendship. Pain happiness sadness. Worth a watch for sure @@ThomasGidley-kv2uj
Quite the effort. Got to the end. Took me about a week. Thank you for doing this. 🙂
Wow, thank you!
Yay made it through to the end and absolutely loved it thank you!
Thank you so much for watching!
The mad man did it 😮 I'll be watching this in parts but loving it so far!
haha Please feel free, and thanks!
fun video! the timestamps are helpful too
Well, I watched the entire 3 hour/27 minute video with only a single ten minute break in the middle. You've got a great collection. I have a pretty massive collection as well and like you, I have a big backlog of Blu-ray/4K videos to still watch. Again, great collection.
Incredible! Thank you so much!
Nice seeing someone else still collecting
Wow...that's an impressive collection! And I did watch the whole thing...started last night when I discovered the video, and finished this morning. Among a lot of other great movies, two that caught my attention were The Changeling, and Crimson Peaks. The Changeling, because it's an amazing and spooky movie...I saw it at the theater when it came out. And Crimson Peaks, because the street scenes were shot in the city where I live, Kingston, Ontario (we have a lot of wonderful limestone buildings, and have had several movies and tv episodes shot here).
Thank you for checking it out! I love both of those movies, and they both made it on my Top 10 Haunted House movies video!
I got to meet Helen Hunt at Dallas Fan Expo back in June, she was super nice.
A Herculean effort indeed - but a breezy watch even to the end. So many takes I agree with here haha
Bridge on river k is a masterpiece. Suspenseful thriller.
HOLY CRAP amazing, alot I saw like and dislikes like you thanks for sharing and you did it be proud.
Thank you!!
Awesome video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, what an epic video! When you got to your Severin titles, held up Absurd and said, "this is Absurd", I wondered if that's how you felt about making this video.
I'm with you on Aliens. I think the last 90 minutes are incredible but getting to that point is a bit of a struggle. I also think Cameron's dialogue/characters aren't that great in general. The Terminator will always be my favorite Cameron flick.
Yeah sometimes I struggle with Cameron dialogue, and Aliens is a big offender for me in that department. lol The Terminator is easily my favorite Cameron too!
Heh, people are free to like what they like, but I don't know how much action you need to claim a movie is "action packed" unless you just want about zero exposition or dialogue - and you can do away with most of that if you watch the theatrical release of Aliens instead of the Director's Cut.
Brendan Lee and Bruce Lee are my favorite martial arts action stars of all time.
Woe...just found this video.
I had to get a note book and mark yes and no to the films you have. I'm a collector of horror films, like Universal, Hammer,etc...period films, the Steven King ones, and of many individual actors.
Out of the ones you shared, I have 526 of those movies. I don't have near the westerns or any of the martial art ones.
You have Jean Claude Van Damme, I have quite a few of Willem Dafoe, as I do with Robert Downey Jr, Val Kilmer, Johnny Depp, and I too, collect on Nicholas Cage. I have a lot of mystery films like Sherlock Holmes etc...I'm a sucker for Concerts, musicals, along with The Harry Potter films, Lord of The Rings, and have the TV Game of Thrones.
Just to say, I'm 65 years old. I started collecting movies in VHS only to have to turn around and start over with DVDs...which is what I have stayed with, I can't replace them all again at my age lol.
You have a wonderful collection.
I might make a suggestion to you...
Make sure you sit down and watch; "Gaslight"
😉
Movie lovers are great people IMO. Music, books and comic books lovers too.
Apocalypse now is fantastic mate 💿🎥👍🏻
But…do you have Godzilla Revenge😢
Phew! I made it through the entire video. (Played it at 2x speed.) 😅
Amazing! Thank you!
You've probably already heard by now, but Zavvi is now taking preorders for a Nightmare on Elm Street 4K release. You can also order it through Diabolik or Orbit, etc. Don't think it will actually be available before September, though.
You having not watched Apocalypse Now is a big problem, my friend. Make sure you watch the "Redux" longer version it's a must.
I really enjoyed Matt Reeves The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, it's my 2nd favorite Batman movie of all time, I saw the film 4 times in theaters.
I wish kino would do a hell of a run of jcvd movies on 4k no where to run love that movie
I would definitely get Nowhere To Run in 4K!
i have seen free guy about 8 times and i still think it very funny, omg i didn't know there was a dvd of ghostwatch, i first saw it wen it came out on tv in the uk, the backlash was incredible, everyone thought it was genuine, and it scared the crap outta me
How long did it take to acquire all those movies. I only have 230 movies on bluray so far. Some Criterion, some vinegar syndrome, some arrow video, and just generic blue case blu rays.
I love Buffy The Vampire Slayer it's in my top 10 favorite vampire movies of all time.
"Oim Botman." - Michael Caine (Batman)
Since I noticed you bought some Italian movies I want to give you some interesting titles:
Mario Bava:
The Evil Eye
Black Sabbath
The Whip and the Body
Blood and Black Lace
Kill Baby Kill
5 Dolls for an August Moon
Hatchet for the Honeymoon
Baron Blood
Rabid Dogs
Mario Bava in my opinion is the creator of the slasher genre. Four movies released between 1970 and 1973 (so I’m talking about before TTCM) it’s impossible for me not to define them like slasher movies and they are “Hatchet for the Honeymoon”, “A Bay of Blood”, “Slaughter Hotel” and “Torso”
Then I suggest you:
The Young, the Evil and the Savage
Paranoia
The Short Night of the Glass Dolls
The Case of the Scorpion’s Tail
The Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh
Bird with the Crystal Plumage
Cat o’ Nine Tails
Four Flies on Grey Velvet
Don’t Torture a Duckling
My Dear Killer
Who Saw Her Die?
The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave
Cold Eyes of Fear
The Fifth Cord
The Red Queen Kills Seven Times
Seven Blood-Stained Orchids
The Case of Bloody Iris
What Have You Done to Solange?
What Have They Done to Your Daughters?
Eye in the Labyrinth
Your Vice Is A Locked Room and Only I Have the Key
All the Colors of the Dark
Tropic of Cancer
The Crimes of the Black Cat
The Dead are Alive
The Perfume of the Lady in Black
Spasmo
Autopsy (1975)
Deep Red
Eyeball
Footprints on the Moon
The House with Laughing Windows
The Psychic
Suspiria
The Blood Stained Shadow
Zombi 2
Beyond the Darkness
City of the Living Dead
Anthropophagous
The Black Cat (1981)
The Beyond
The House by the Cemetery
Nightmares in a damaged Brain
The New York Ripper
Tenebrae
Zeder
Phenomena
Demons
Opera
Stage Fright (1987)
Touch of Death
A Cat in the Brain
I know Italian movies are not for everyone but at least you can try to watch them. Have fun. Cheers
You know your stuff. It's always great to see a Giallo fan on here. I've seen all the ones you've had listed and probably own all, but two.
@@darkstarr2540 well I’m Italian and I’m very proud about that era of my cinema. Mario Bava is so underrated. But I suggest to watch Italian movies with the Italian audio and English subtitles because the English dubbing in most of the cases is awful. I know some movies such as The House with Laughing Windows and The Bloodstained Shadow couldn’t be appreciated by the foreign audience because those movies have little details where us Italians are able to recognize ourselves, especially Italians like me born in the north of Italy and raised very close to Venice, but they are really great giallo movies.
@@SneitnaM I completely agree with the English dubbing. It's terrible, especially in House by the Cemetery. However I think Demons has some of the best dubbing. I myself also watch most of them with the English subtitles. Being from Italy have you ever got to meet any of the Italian directors suck as Argento or Fulcio? I've never been, but I have known people who have went over there and met some of the legends. I can't remember what director it was, but they own a book store in Rome. I'd have to ask my friend who it was. Also have you seen Graveyard Disturbance? I never hear anyone talk about it.
@@darkstarr2540 No, I never met directors such as Lucio Fulci, Sergio Martino or Dario Argento. Luigi Bazzoni and Massimo Dallamano are great ones too. I agree with you for what concerns Dèmons. There are some Italian actors/actresses and non-English actors/actresses as well very good with their English but is a rare thing. When you watch the movie with the Italian audio and English subtitles is impossible for you to make wrong. I’m not crazy about Lamberto Bava and I never watched the movie you told me. I know Lamberto is famous for Dèmons but the story is another great one by the great Dardano Sacchetti, the same dude who created the story of The Beyond by Lucio Fulci
What's boutique?
x Watched Innocent Blood, awesome film!
o It was very unique having a vampire with a French accent!
o Robert Loggia was fantastic!
o The romance between Marie and Joseph was very memorable!
o That would be an excellent film to see in the theater!
x Watched Buffy The Vampire Slayer again, awesome film!
o That is the most criminally underrated film!
o I thought that Kristy Swanson played the perfect mix of Valley Girl and Warrior!
o It's such a great film to see in the theater, really want to watch it again in the theater!
o I really liked how fun the film is, definitely an even bigger fan after seeing it the second time!
x Watched Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, awesome film!
o Such a great cast and I really liked the scenes in the ice and the snow!
o I thought Robert De Niro's Frankenstein was excellent, though distinctly different than Boris Karloff's.
o Such a wild scene when he revives Elizabeth, wow!
o I really liked the scenes where the body was gurneyed up and slid across the lab!
o The touch with the electric eels was really cool too!
x Watched Frankenstein again, awesome film!
o Really like Boris Karloff's Frankenstein!
o Those cementary scenes really set such a great atmosphere!
o Colin Clive's Henry Frankenstein is such a dramatic scientist, really unique takeon the character!
o That mill at the end!
x Watched Bride of Frankenstein, great film!
o Excellent competition between the two mad scientists!
o There was definitely some memorable comedic moments when The Monster drinks wine and smokes cigars! lol
o It is interesting how the word friend is used by The Monster...
o I really liked the costume of the Bride of Frankenstein, very iconic!
x Something you might be interested in...
o The new Taylor Swift music video "Fortnight" has a Bride of Frankenstein-esque scene in it...and during that it has Ethen Hawke and Josh Edwards (from Dead Poet's Society) in it too!
x Interesting coincidence...
o I watched the first hour of the video before going to a local craft vendor sale and saw your Universal Monsters tumble and also the film Goonies in your collection...
† At the very small vendor sale I saw the exact same type of tumbler with Goonies on it and bought it, it is so cool!
x I am going to watch Silver Linings Playbook tonight since it is 4/21 (the day that Barbenheimer happened and also the announcement of the Rock and Roll Hall of fame inductees), it definitely made the decision easier once seeing the film in the collection.
x Valley Girl was added to my May Watchlist after it was spotlighted on one of the videos, great to see it recommended here too!
x Added 3:10 to Yuma, Blockers, and They Live By Night to my May Watchlist.
The Dark Knight is the best Batman movie of all time & Heath Ledger is the best Joker. Definitely not judging your opinion at all Daniel.
Love you collections brother have you got any jean claude van damme films
I source all my DVD/Blu Rays from pawn shops. Haven't counted my collection of physical media but it has to be 500+
What’s makes you upgrade to 4K if you have a blu ray copy? Or if you already have the movie on blu ray you stay with it?
I almost never do. Maybe if it’s a favorite movie and the packaging is significantly cooler, or if the Blu-ray is subpar. Both of those are rare. Most of the time I’d rather buy a movie I don’t have.
Doctor Sleep was really good imo. Fun watching Ed Wood then Plan 9 in that order. Walter Mitty is a remake. The original was starring Danny Kaye which is think is superior. Have you seen Rob Roy? It came out the same time as Braveheart. Best sword fight ever. Check out Ice Station Zebra, very good espionage thriller with Rock Hudson.
Wow, I envy you being able to watch The Bridge on the River Kwai and Apocalypse Now for the first time! Don't go in thinking of them as war films. In fact there aren't really any (what I'd call) "battle scenes." Enjoy!
T2 is amazing.
Yesssssss 👍👍👍👍👍🤘🏻👍
Hey Daniel did you have any issues with your copy of Looney Tunes: Back In Action?
You should watch The Brain on the Last Drive-In episode. You get Joe Bob Briggs hilarious commentary.
The original Bad Leutenant is waaaay better than Cages BL. Apocalypse Now is a masterpiece, must c asap. Book is great too.
Watch apocalypse now, you will be surprised, it is a great movie
You should see the original ,secret life of Walter Mitty' with Danny Kaye
It's a forgotten gem of the 40s
And is it possible you never saw ,don't Look now' ?
The first time I saw it it disturbed me so much... and it holds on till now!

@@cobwebschannelplease let me wife know that 😂
That's awesome! There is another RUclipsr I watch that probably own over a million horror films and everything else. I own close to 2,000 myself, but if it wasn't for those pesky bills, I'd probably own more lol.
