This needs to be the “daily” you keep aspiring to build. S54 with open ITBs or a carbon CSL air box. Mate it to the DCT? Nice wheels with a full ZHP kit? Mr.LZ that’s the move!
I would put a rebuild s85 with Velocity Stacks in it - if i would have the Workspace.
@@theodoredeverell3894 how so? There a huge amount of cars that has individual throttle bodies from the factory. As long as they are correctly tuned they are completely fine.
Keeping it all BMW would definitely be awesome.
I second an S54 and 6 speed swap.
Full M3 conversion in the rear, LSD axles etc. ZHP kit all around would be nice too.

I would really like to see a full restoration, having it looking like it did 10 years ago but fully refreshed, maybe M3 bits that you can put in the sedan, also it would be really cool to see an s54 NA swap on this thing. Congrats Adam, you can really tell this car has a special place in your heart.

I was so young looking at a guy doing bmx videos, then he got the bmw and I just wanted to grow up and be like him and have my own stuff, and now almost or more 10 years later, I'm still watching, working and having a car (my first still actually). This is madness in a good way

this is so cool - ive owned a 318i e46 when i was 18years old, it was my first car... my dad bought it for me, unfortunately he died few years ago...
im telling you, i was the king back then lol - noone had a e46 in my age, in 2008 when i was 18.
i really loved the car and i drove it nearly 10years, i remember when it broke down somewhere in frankfurt(germany) and my father had to bring his mercedes to tow the bmw back home with me.
good old days man... i wish i could find my e46 and i would buy it 100% back, but in germany its not possible to track the car.
good memories ... now im in tears... miss u dad, i love you :(

Been watching Adam's videos since early 2014 & seeing the e46 again brings back so many good memories. I think this thing deserves an r34 style build/restoration & keep it as a time capsule to show where you've come from & what you've accomplished. Stoked you got her back 👍

I haven't watched LZ since the e46 days but all I would say is that a car he cherishes like this should probably get some loving so I would recommend just a full makeover of interior & exterior parts
Build idea: build it just like you would've dreamt of building it when you had it before. Not a crazy build but it would be extra sentimental to have what you dreamed of at the time

I wanna see a full-blown M3 swap with ITB’s and everything. Engine, manual trans, subframes, et cetera. I think it would be a dope way to make the car quick n sick without “bastardizing” it.
This is a total rabbit hole, but it’s pretty easy in the sense that it’s all bolt on with very minor electrical modifications required.
He already owns an M3 though…. That would be a waste. LS swap would be better.

@@olajimimark 2jz swaps definitely arent as plentiful as ls swaps lmao , ls swaps are what people do when they want a lot of power for the cheapest price reason 8/10 cars at track days are ls swapped , definitely dont want to see him go down that road , either keep it german or put something japanese in it to be different & not predictable
Funny enough watching the podcast earlier i thought “man, he should buy that back”. I say restore it back to the way it was but with a refreshed B30, M3 subframe and LSD, and ZF swap. Sorta kinda almost a restomod. Not every build has to be a crazy 800 hp race car, just enjoy this one

I would like to see you go all out on this car. Full tear down and refresh with as many new parts as possible. Not fussed on style but your first car got you interested enough in cars to lead you to where you are now
A full nut and bolt restoration, with a spicy engine would be awesome

Love this Adam!! I’ve also been here since the 335i and found your channel because I had an E90 335i. You were my virtual modding buddy with that car! I was FBO with a PTF Protune (COBB) on an E85 mix. So happy you found your first car, man.
I understand your excitement. I fell in love with my first vehicle, a 97 F-150 that i got in 2000. 22 years later i still have it, and there is no amount of money that could buy it from me. The memories ive made in that truck, and the experiences ive had are priceless. Im glad you got yours back.
You should build it like you always wanted to build it. I remember with my first car I had a bunch of ideas I dreamed about.

Bro! I clicked so fast on this video. I got my 2001 325ci in my garage right now. I know it’s not worth anything to anybody but me. But it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive her. It’s never seen snow or rain in the 20 years I’ve owned it. Watching this video brought back so many memories I have with that car. I wish I had the means to make it the way I wanted to. But my adult life didn’t allow for that to happen. But I still have the intention to finish it at some point in my life. Thx for making my day👊🏻

My second car was an 800$ stripped interior Welded diff 325i with 235k miles and hood dump exhaust. Most fun and surprisingly reliable car I ever bought . Thrashed it for 2 years with very few problems

Honestly the best cars imo are like interactive artwork. The value isn’t necessarily in the physical materials of the thing, but the experience of it. Sometimes that experience is exhilarating power or precise handling, and sometimes it’s purely a powerful, wormhole connection to a separate place and time. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. And as someone who’s first car was destroyed in a crash, I really enjoyed this reunion. Glad the old girl found her way home. ❤

It’s amazing how after all these years you’ve got it back, I think because you have a lot of daily drivers and drift cars…you should bring it back to how it was originally when you modified it with a few modern touches and just enjoy the car for what it is👍🏻

I remember early days of your channel seeing this car and it being a real inspiration towards wanting a E46! I think you did answer some questions I had on the original video, I ended up getting an E92 but your E46 was still a huge inspiration towards wanting to get a 3 series :)
As a first car e46 owner myself, seeing this is honestly awesome. The m54 brings its unholy amount of flaws but the experience and the happiness that comes with it outweighs the bad. So so excited to see where this build goes :)

ADAM! Be sure to check the coolant pipes under the intake manifold, I recently went through 2 sets going bad until replacing them with metal ones on my E46 so I'd recommend checking!

Just pulled my timing cover to weld on an oil return (going turbo) and my pipe that I thought was mint just fell to pieces 🤦♂️😂 definitely worth replacing while doing any maintenance

Man i still have the same car 325i , steptronic and even the same color , im glad u got it back , it brings u memories . I remember the day i put a spoiler on that thing and angel eyes and changed the annoying steering wheel to an M3 steering wheel. Good job getting it back 👍🏻

This video was one of your best videos yet. I’ve watched everyone of your videos and this one made me smile. I wish I could get my first car back but unfortunately it got written off. But I think you should restore it back to how you had it. Do all the bodywork rebuild the engine and just drive it on a special moments.

this is exciting! I just got myself a 2020 nissan versa sv. i'm a toyota person but i dropped the gun too fast at the dealership ship and this is what i ended up leaving the lot with, lol but I love my car and I’m enjoying it so far. I looveee watching these types of videos!
