Cartoon Network pretty much stopped doing Subway toys long before the Jared scandal, or even before Jared started appearing in commercials for that matter.
My guess as to what happened to I Heart Tuesdays is that Ne-Yo and CN couldn't reach a deal and the show got cancelled before it was produced. It's a shame, the concept sounds really interesting and unique, and reminds me of the kind of cartoons I used to watch as a kid that involved high school students that fought villains and stuff (Danny Phantom, Kim Possible and American Dragon come to mind).
I'd love for you to make an entire video about Lostwave. You've discussed Ulterior Motives before, but there is a HUGE swath of partially found, unidentified songs out there, many of which are being discovered by a diligent community. La Cancion de Alicia, Back to Bed, Waste My Time and Uptown People were ALL discovered in full within the past two weeks.
The only thing I can think of that could possibly be the cat news show is a show called Cat 22. Im probably 100% wrong here, but Cat 22 was a cartoon network short aired in between cartoons back in the late 2000s and early 2010s. It was anout a cat who wore a suit, but he was a spy and went undercover around dogs. So it probably wasnt that show.
@PWPictures67 yeah, I know. Just brought it up cause it was the only cat themed short I could find, especially one with cats wearing ties. That and I wanted an excuse to talk about it cause I adore that short.
Like I thought that someone thought it would be funny to photoshop Mewtwo at the Kankers' door similar to the early 2010s YT fad of (x) drops by Squidward's house
All I can remember from something I watched a long time ago was that either a monster, demon, or something not from this world went to an orphanage or hospital with sick children. It looked at the tags with the illness the children had and saw that one had cancer and then said “your name is cancer” but it said it as “sanser”. It might have also said something along the lines of “what a beautiful name”. It then took the child, went somewhere and the child slowly died while the creature didn’t know what was happening. Does anyone else remember or know what this was from? If I had to guess, it might have been on adult swim
OK so that was an animated show called Superjail! that aired on Adult Swim. The little girl was saved and cared for by a burn victim inmate of the prison named Ash. Actually just watched the episode a few weeks ago, I think it's streaming on Max? Or maybe Hulu. It's one of them somewhere, anyway, it's pretty hysterical
Not sure if this would count as lost media, but back in the early 2000's anime such as Tenchi Muyo and Rurouni Kenshin would air on Toonami during the day, albeit heavily censored to match TV-Y7 standards at the time, meaning no swearing, minimal blood, etc. One afternoon I was watching an episode of Rurouni Kenshin, the one where Kenshin and another group are fighting against an army/villain that had gatling guns and they were completely outmatched. Some of the characters were outright dying, which was one thing (characters would also die in Dragon Ball Z), but then suddenly a few of them were saying legitimate swear words such as "damn" or "bastard", and I remember being very surprised by this. It was essentially an uncensored episode! It might not seem as big a deal today, but a cartoon with actual swearing and a TV-Y7 rating airing during daytime Cartoon Network was really unusual back then. In addition, I also recall Rurouni being pulled around a week after that episode had aired, and I always assumed it was due to them accidentally airing an uncensored episode. I could be wrong, but after several decades that one memory has always stuck out to me more than most others from Toonami at the time. I wonder if anyone else remembers this?
CN Real was the result of the Writer's Strike of 2008, when every TV executive had a collective BSOD and decided that people should only watch reality shows because they were cheaper to produce. Stuart Snyder was one of those executives, and David Zaslav is from that same crop of executives.
I recognise the guy at 34:22 thats Keith Duffy from the Irish boyband Boyzone. He seems to have a jacket with aka cartoon network on it. From what I've seen he was a guest. I wonder if he remembers much about the show it could be worth contacting him maybe?
Another theory: The "Kitty News" program is likely to be the guy misremembering something he saw in Trevor Moore's Comedy Central special. "Kitty History" is the song from the special. It fits the timeline. And the reason he might have thought it was on Cartoon Network or Nick is easy to explain by the fact most cable and satellite providers have Comedy Central next to Cartoon Network and Nick in their channel line-ups. He switched it to the wrong station at some point, saw that, flipped it back to the cartoon stations and it implanted that it was something from them.
I watched quite a bit of Late Night Black and White back in its day. It was so long ago now that I don't remember much of it other than that they played some pretty unusual fair. It wasn't just Old Loony Toons. There was a lot of Betty Boop, old Popeye, and crazy random stuff from a bygone era. I seem to remember a Halloween themed episode that had some particularly weird stuff.
Regarding "Lady, Play Your Mandolin", that earlier footage could very likely be pulled from a cartoon that reused that animation. I believe there was at least one Merrie Melodies cartoon that used it, I think "Goopy Geer"?
I dont remember many commercials for all kids meal toys. most times u just got to the restaraunt and u would just see what was there. McDonalds and Burger King would have them sometimes but i dont even remember seeing Subway commercials for kids toys at all really (as in, if there WERE commercials they may not have aired on major networks even if related to the network in question)
Hello! I usually don't make comments like this, but I thought this was a good place to ask. I've been trying to find if this animation short (?) exists, but I have no idea if it's been covered already or if I'm thinking of something else. Here's what I remember: -This was around 2006-2007 as I was about very young and was actively watching CN this time in the fall of November. This was in the Midwest as I was watching CN on my grandma's comcast TV. I dunno if its a broadcast interruption, but I definitely remember it being super weird. It was some kind of special animation film that played and the film consisted of a near abandoned small town in a canyon or desert looking area. But once it became night all the townsfolk were cursed into becoming evil monsters..? I definitely remember a mayor character who was cursed to be this mole like creature. I'm not sure on more specifics here, but I just want to figure out if this is real, some weird broadcast interruption, or a dream that little me dreamt once and I couldn't tell.
this is pretty random, but could you do a video on Cartoon Network's old website? The early days of it, into the 2000's and it's online games I've found zero instances of people talking about them, particularly a game called 'License to Kill' I think, a Venture Bros-themed game where you play as Brock, I cannot find ANY search results for this game & yet I played it all the time Thanks for the videos
Guys, does any one know if there are cartoon network mashups with popular artists at the time? I believe there was a mashup of Offspring - Pretty fly for a white guy with Ed,Edd and Eddy and a bunch of other cartoons + artists/ songs? I think there was also some RHCP song redone? The general idea was that the tune was as in original song, but the lyrics were rewritten and some cartoon pieces were used as a “movie clip” for the song. It was quite hilarious
I am very disappointed because I still want Discotek Media to eventually license Mermaid Melody anime someday, even if it did not get an official English dub at all.
late night black & white! Yooooo, those were peak childhood years....I got my first tv in my room about 98 and I would stay up and usually fall asleep to it... good times.
there is one possible lost media around the late 90's and early 2000's consisting of music channels on TV back when crt tv's where king, i remember there where a few tv stations that where just black screens with colored symbols scattered around that would pop in and out of existence around the screen, the symbols would be a speaker or a rain drop stuff like that and the screen would only have one symbol per channel or song that was playing and i think it might genuinely be lost media at this point as there is no sign that those channels existed at all, oh and this was around the bottom left corner of ohio if it was a region only channel
I feel like I have a slight memory of the cat anchors but I might be mistaken..I remember when the Disney Channel show Fish Hooks was at its peak nick and cartoon network, as well as Disney themselves, made a lot of shorts in the same kind of animation style or similar or the mouse and snake that would show up in small segments of the fish hooks show
Lost media is why I will ALWAYS advocate for piracy in at least some amount. Piracy IS preservation. There is so much art and media that would have been lost had somebody not copied it somehow. Folk songs and tales, historical accounts (as opposed to the newsmedia today holding footage at ransom), paintings that the originals are now gone but student copies preserved the 'essence' of them... And much of the lost media that ends up found would still be lost forever had somebody not 'pirated' the content at home one day.
The way you feel about Cartoon Network is very similar to how I feel about it. I didn't even know they HAD an official forum, though I can understand why so many people on it were frustrated with the current status of the network. I stopped watching CN regularly around 2016 outside of Adult Swim, the only part of the network that seemingly had everything together while CN kept listening to out-of-touch executives who listened to equally out-of-touch investors and shareholders.
DUUUUUUDE I REMEMBER THE CN FORUMS, I DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE ELSE REMEMBERED THEM I was a tiny little billy back in like 2015 or something, i know it was near that time cuz I stuck pretty much entirely to the Steven Universe section, i remember threads where people gave like text descriptions of their gemsonas and whatnot. I very distinctly remember being horrified at this one person's post where the gem placement description got censored, and my mind automatically filled in the blanks. Sometimes I still wonder if it was a false flag or not. I remember i originally made my account (Dreadful Alison Alien, or something like that. I can never remember how that middle word was spelled or pronounced, i was pretty little) to save my progress on this one How To Train Your Dragon game, and the forum stuff was just a bonus. Sometimes I wonder what i was like back then, and how much of my cringey little kid self i could take nowadays before I'd have to stop reading out of embarrassment. I think I also always wondered if the moderators were human or not, it was very mysterious when I was tiny. I don't think anything i submitted was ever rejected, but I remember just kind of leaving the message to sit for a while after i posted. Overall, I'm glad other people remember previous iterations of the site and features like this, and I wish I could still play all the old games i used to obsess over. Flash games as a whole really built my childhood, these forums were my first real social experience online, and I felt incredibly old seeing one of the thread topics in the b-roll footage mention the old mixit games.
Why even put the ATHF Simpsons bumper in here? We already know, and have known, that the animation in the bumper is it. It was just to show a new trailer for the Simpsons movie.
If anybody is interested, I tried contacting the creator of Uncle Gus third pilot but when he saw my texts he propably deleted his Facebook page because I think he just didn't want to talk about it.
Hey everyone one I’ve seen this probably lost sonic movie 1 commercial I don’t remember much but I do remember this part . It starts with Tom and sonic in the car sonic sees the giant yarn sign but instead of showing the yarn it shows sonics face. If you have any information please let me know.
No one ever mentions tower prep or unnatural history the only two good series that were made for CN real Both series ended due to CN real ending as well. They were supposed to have a second season. If anyone is interested i might just make a internet archive account just to put both of those hidden gems on there.
I do remember the hot dog show because it would always make me feel uncomfortable lol. It reminded me of that episode of regular show when the hotdogs started attacking them.
⚫💀💚🥇This reminds me of this one probably lost cartoon, that aired around 2009 on either adultswim or cartoon network. It was about this green skinned girl wearing rags and a medallion facing off against a giant black monster that was shaped like a mushroom cloud and had a skull for a face
I remember cartoon orbits well. I liked the duel game and how you could auction your game pieces bc tbh the site was from the early internet so you could gin up infinite in game currency. Broken af 😮😂
I'm I the only one remember that one show on CN about plastic brick character in the City doing something wracking stuff and also the cool thing is there is toy of it for scanning for the app to play it on the device. The character detail: they built like 2 piece of 2 by 2 brick, one for the body, one for the head with molding detail. I think they have 2 by 2 flat tile of hair and foot and I'm also pretty sure the show have arm but in toy form it just molding detail on the body. and there diverse of different character in the show the one I remember strongly is the pirate.
cartoon orbits was so weird and no one else played it. best i remember is you played vs random people (not sure if it loaded their deck or if another person was playing) you had three rows and as far as i remember, it counted the points of the cards each person put down. i don’t know if there were rounds, adjustments, or combos. i was 6 or 7 and while i could read i kinda clicked around more than i read. it seemed like higher points was better but i never remember winning when you logged in, i think there was some kind of pinball daily, where you clicked or pulled and it gave you points based on that. i think you could play the pinball point game twice a day i know there were ways to earn more cards but i don’t remember how. toonami had cards bc i remember having two dragonball z ones lol they were orange hope that helps
@@dargzy no. Twitter. For some reason. Whenever I watch a video that mentions Twitter before the rebrand day. I get a shock and I can’t watch them anymore.
the only good thing about CN Real is Tower Prep and I will NOT change my mind it had so much potential and I'm MAAAAD I won't get to see how they get out of that 'school'
On the kitty thing Mike asked may i suggest Whitest kids you know? They did bits with cats like kitty history etc and it may be one of those as some do feature news anchors and cats in suits etc
Oh God I remember watching CN Real, it was my introduction to the cringe lord who is Andrew WK. I didn't think the shows were terrible at the time, I liked Les Stroud from watching Survivorman, but it wasn't a good substitute for cartoons. Even Destroy Build Destroy was fine, Andrew WK aside.
It's a pity that I can't watch your videos on my The native language is Russian and you have to use subtitles with automatic translation I use a translator
I cant wait for this lost media to show up in adult videos.

I loved those shows when I was younger
I was too young to know the live action era was CN's low point and loved it

⚫💀💚🥇This reminds me of this one probably lost cartoon, that aired around 2009 on either adultswim or cartoon network. It was about this green skinned girl wearing rags and a medallion facing off against a giant black monster that was shaped like a mushroom cloud and had a skull for a face
I saw this too! Sadly, I forgot it’s name
@@ShadeATV really!? :D did you remember what channel you saw it on?
12 oz mouse was a childhood classic
Why are you still uploading in 720p?
12 oz mouse is the best show ever made
WAS. NOT. EXPECTING. ANYTHING. NASCAR. RELATED.
Wow! That caught me off guard!
Was that called Mixels?
@@francishollingshead2134 no not that, the show is 3D

I did some drawing the idea of the character design.

I Remember This Adult Swim Ad For Simpsons Movie 39:31
cartoon orbits was so weird and no one else played it.
best i remember is you played vs random people (not sure if it loaded their deck or if another person was playing)
you had three rows and as far as i remember, it counted the points of the cards each person put down. i don’t know if there were rounds, adjustments, or combos. i was 6 or 7 and while i could read i kinda clicked around more than i read.
it seemed like higher points was better but i never remember winning
when you logged in, i think there was some kind of pinball daily, where you clicked or pulled and it gave you points based on that. i think you could play the pinball point game twice a day
i know there were ways to earn more cards but i don’t remember how. toonami had cards bc i remember having two dragonball z ones lol they were orange
hope that helps
I'm probably the only one that liked CN real
Beware: some videos mention former names that may give you a shock
like black dexter?
@@dargzy no. Twitter. For some reason. Whenever I watch a video that mentions Twitter before the rebrand day. I get a shock and I can’t watch them anymore.
@@KaydeGRules2010 ahhh idk i’m still pretty sure it was black dexter..
@@dargzy It wasnt!!!
@@KaydeGRules2010 prove it. racist.
Lost media friday❤
the only good thing about CN Real is Tower Prep and I will NOT change my mind
it had so much potential and I'm MAAAAD I won't get to see how they get out of that 'school'

Bro I heard your voice in a horrifying nightmare I had last night
On the kitty thing Mike asked may i suggest Whitest kids you know? They did bits with cats like kitty history etc and it may be one of those as some do feature news anchors and cats in suits etc
aw man i loved late night black and white. that was my shit
Yay it’s this time
You no i have India about finding me and my friends maybe can ask someone and if they do just ask for a clip
HEWO,,, BRUH IVE BEEN WATCHING CN SINCE 2000
has AI and helped finding stuff like this?
It's a pity that I can't watch your videos on my The native language is Russian and you have to use subtitles with automatic translation I use a translator
There's an older comic by TheOatmeal about cats wearing ties. It's called The Bobcats
It could've been from Fried Dynamite or from the shows Sunday Pants or Wedgies.
So you are NOT going to talk about everyone knows that and the found pilots???
yes
Holy moly
