Yea Quite alot of people skipped getting the game since its just disgaea pc with new textures
You can also use stage 14-1 before getting the Cave of Ordeals. Once you beat the stage and go back into it, it has 4 vampires (IDR what lvl) all on exp +100% panels. Also, you get Etna mode for new game plus only if you check her secret memories during each chapter(unlocked by hitting the switches behind the throne and the skull near the shops), then go to the corner near the prinny in the room with the stairs. The secret room is located behind the prinny. Make sure to go there and read her memory during each new chapter. You'll know you did it right if you get a Testament emblem during chapter 14. After you read all the memories, you'll unlock the mode when starting a new game+.
Welp, it's a pretty good guide, but for the Terrible Cold stage I suggest to make character learn healing spell, because you can lock enemy on no invincibility panel with 4 character and heal it (you can now get exp for healing), it will speed up process drastically.

When talking about factors, exp (1) multiplied by 900% is 10 (1+1x9).

When I first started and even up to now, I was grinding the normal way like in other jrpgs and I realize now that that kind of mindset doesn't fully work with the Disgaea series, at least not with Disgaea 1! 😪
You still grinding like the normal way though, this is just some tricks and tips to make it faster.
Love this game but think they should of done a HD trilogy as £39.99 for Disgaea 1 again is
a little expensive if you ask me.....especially with loads of decent games out this year. But alas I will buy them all again lol!

On 5-3 you can throw the enemies on the base panel to save time.
then you gain no XP though and you have to weaken them first anyway.
If you are over leveled and kill them then yes. If not you can let the base panel be destroyed and lower them without needing to move through the whole stage. This can speed up your leveling until you can reach the better stages. The one thing I don't remember is if the allies in you base panel count as ally kills in this method. If they count you should avoid it if you are going for a good ending. Anyways good video it covers all the basic info for the best grinding maps.
It wont always Speed things up, if your units in the base panel are to weak then there might be very little damage even done to the monster

The lvl 99 trick is not a bug, it originally was on the ps2, but was kept intentionally from then on

Couldn't you just throw the enemies from the highest normal stage into each other to make them 9999?
I have disgaea 1 complete on ps4. I have Laharl at rank 4 for the assembly but still don’t have a stronger enemy bill. Is it story locked? I’ve only done up to 5-3

huh, guess its a good thing that the first thing I did upon starting up the game was grind up statisticians, only have 300 and I'm about on chapter 4 I think but it will get easier to get them, strange how they would change the hard cap to 450 instead of just making it strait up 900 though.
Skill exp grinding is still a time taker, isn't it?... 😫
does the lvl 99 glitch work on the psp "afternoon of darkness" version? i tried it and i dont seem to be getting that awesome 98kexp per kill

Just started playing this, I have never played any Disgaea game before. But how do I combine my Innocents? I have no clue, also what does the voting do? I always loose when I try the vote thing.
You have to find and defeat them in the Item World first, then they'll both double in power and become tame, which means you can transfer them to other items. Then you just choose the Combine option to fuse every innocent of the same type on the same item. As for voting, vote power is based on level. One strategy is to bribe the hell out of one of the stronger senators before-hand, then when that one guy agrees with you, force the bill with a fight. Throw the hostile enemies into your friend (while making sure that your friend never gets hit by anything, or it will turn him hostile) and he'll eat them, boosting his own level (make sure to only throw enemies of a lower level into him, or they'll eat him instead). Once the senate floor is clear of dissenters, you'll automatically win!
about 40h in game and you tell me that i can stack monsters xD this game... Still i cant unlock Cave of ordeal senators doesnt want me to go there... Need to grind more
If you're having trouble with the assembly, what you can do is save scum it, and try to get the highest level senator close to where you spawn, and get them to vote aye, then you throw anyone who you can not beat into that senator, that way the neutral senator levels up and you don't have to battle the harder ones
How do i level quicker without gear/statation,there seems to need to have a certain level gap to maximise your exp. Like if you are to to low killing way above your level I don't seem to get great gains.
Does the exp multiplier work for the character who has it equipped or does it affect all party members?

Because lazyness, rather than making a new model they just decided to copy and paste a model from disgaea 5. If you havnt already i suggest taking a look at the review i did.

I didnt change back, i have 2 saves. 1 in Etna Mode and 1 in the Normal Mode.
@@Primalliquid92 oh man I only have 1 save file which is etna mode. I did not know you cant switch back . I beat the game and just went straight into etna mode and save that file. I did not know that. I thought you can switch modes

Depends on how many statitisions you have (And if patch 1.03 has released yet) and if you're playing on etna mode or not.

this is the PS4 and its the Complete verson, if yours is blocky then its very likely you have the original verson and not the remastered complete edition

I think the statistician is capped to 300 on PSP, but the grind levels could still be the same.
The jotunheim glitch doesn't work for the switch version. All the enemies are lvl 14, not divisible by 99.

What's a quick way to get statisticians? In disgaea 1 complete I can't move specialist that come with an item in the store, I can only move the ones I subdue in the item world
in disgaea 1, thats the only way, but what you can do is combine them, if the item has 3 statitians, combine them to face one, then exit and stuff like that, early disgaea i guess, even tho, i like it better than the daycare in five ,dont know why, maybe caus ei never understood it very well

How do you switch from etna mode to laharl mode?
Beat Etna Mode then save the data. When you reload your save, you have a choice of either mode.
You have this listed as a PC game. It isn't available on pc unfortunately.
Disgaea 1 complete is just a HD version of disgaea 1 which IS on the PC (hell, even the credits are just straight up the PC credits since they even say Disgaea PC on them) so yes, it is in PC. just a slightly lower quality version
Is this on PC or console it is so clear mine on PC very blocky.

The cost to make a monster unit depends on how many times you kill them the more you kill them the cheaper is a rule of thumb is to kill it 30 times

I just got into late game on disgaea PC(steam) so am playing with the innocent, can anyone tell me if the cap for EXP% Innocent is 300? or 450? coz I could not find set number so many people say 300 other say 600. pls clarify? xD
450 is for the newest console remaster.
The PC version is released earlier than that, and is a direct port of the PSP version, so I think it's still 300 cap.

How do you unlock all the classes like Majin?
pretty much just level the classes like other disgaea games.
A combination of having high levels of the other classes and some specific combinations. Check out the wiki.
Majin needs a lvl 200 male Warrior, lvl 200 male Brawler, lvl 200 Scout, lvl 200 Thief and a lvl 200 Ninja all at the same time. You get the Scout and Thief from lvl 5 Brawler and Warrior, and you get the Ninja from lvl 10 Warrior and Brawler.
hey, why does the swish get enhanced graphics and improved Huds while the PC just gets a port.
Switch already is a better port of the pc version, switch and ps4 versions came out after d1 being ported to pc, if they do a complete edition of d2 then it would be most likely the same, i would prefer they port DD2 to other platforms along with D3&4, as those are the only games stuck in sony consoles, and would do well in steam or nintendo too
