My God, you guys. I'm almost emotional with this vlog. Everything about these trails to the Picos is God-given. Like you said, it's beauty after beauty around every corner. I did just the initial part of the Pico do Areeiro trail (from the weather station) in February - there were snow pockets everywhere and immensely cold even at noon! Craziest thing: I saw not one, but two guys jogging through the trail with jogging clothes, like they were at sea-level with 25ºC!!!! Those human-made paths on ridges are INSANE!! I have to also congratulate you on the terrific idea to climb Pico Ruivo so early because THAT VIEW! THAT SUNRISE!!! T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U!!! I'm really glad you enjoyed Madeira so much. It really is the Atlantic Pearl as we call it. Cheers once more for another out-of-this-world vlog!

I did this on Sunday in 39 minutes, its a lot easier than i imagined! Did the hike to the most Easterly point on the same day which was very impressive too!

We visited in 2015 and I was blown away by its beauty and rugged isolation.
Pico Arierio above the clouds looking down awesome valleys one direction and the coast and sea in the other. Watching the clouds climb over the mountains driven by the wind... Loved it.
Lots of scary places to explore all over the enchanted island. Even more beautiful ones.

I love that hike/walk i went from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo with a bike i went through Eira do Serrado up to the top Of pico do Arieiro.I took my bike to the other side went all the way down to Arco de São Jorge, went up to the other side passing by São Jorge,Boaventura,Ponta Delgada, São vicente.Once in São Vicente went up to the tunnel that you cross if you are going to Serra de Agua,you are not allowed to cross it on foot but shush don't tell anyone.I then went to Ribeira Brava and from there to Camara de Lobos.It's a quiet a long distance but that is something i wanted to do but as don't have anybody to go with me i've decide to take my bike and do it alone...by the way love the vids and have a nice stay on the island.

For those who want to stay within 15 minutes from Pico do Areeiro, and rest a bit more before heading to Pico Ruivo, you have a camping site in the natural park of Ribeiro Frio, the Ribeiro Frio Cottages, and Casa do Ribeiro Frio where you can rent a room.

Great drone shots. The day we went up we got a late start and the winds were a bit high, so I didnt get anywhere near as much as I had hoped. Still a great outing though.
