  • Sligo has long been regarded as 'a football town.' The capital of the North West of Ireland is home to Sligo Rovers. It's been so since the League of Ireland club was founded in 1928. The club is firmly woven into the very fabric of its local community and far beyond. This documentary outlines just what Rovers means to some of the personalities who have helped shape its history.
This documentary was produced by Michael Moran with directing/filming and post-production by Oisin Moran.

I am very happy to contribute musical works from my various albums to Oisin and Michael Morans
"Shine". I know how important a role Sligo Rovers F.C plays in Sligo and how much Oisin and Michael love the club. I think the documentary really highlights this.
I'm delighted to support and wish Oisin, Michael and SRFC the very best with this film.
'Ag Ol, Ag Ol ag an Garbhog' was written by Enda Reilly and Pearse McGloughlin.
The version used in the film is performed by Pearse McGloughlin & Nocturnes.
