this reminds me of a video made by a RUclipsr, titled "What makes a short commercial successful?"
basically, all the ads we've watched growing up, and the ads we watch now, some of them tells a story so beautifully well that you remember them for a lifetime (once I literally tried to find a link to an ad I saw on RUclips to share to my friends because it was that amazing. Imagine, something people have subconsciously learned to avoid, ads, I found it so interesting that i wanted to share it to someone!)
That video would be very valuable for someone who makes videos/animation (like me) and someone who is trying to think of ways to market their products. There's a high chance you can get clients from it and you can sell your products to other videographers from the same video!

It’s so (pleasantly) obnoxious that this video came out when it did because the past three weeks I have watched three online webinars for various lead generation tools and strategies. Seems like you’re the only one who isn’t selling a magic pill related to their product or service.
Thanks for the helpful tips. Making moves already and seeing results. This video helped me to refine some my current action steps.

Commenting is not something that I do but, I feel compelled to do with you. I once heard someone say. There were 10 speakers at an event. When it was over, one of the guest went up to one of the speakers and said you were the best speaker out of all of the speakers.
Then the speaker said to the guest, No, I'm just the speaker who story connected with your story. So you felt like I was speaking to you. It just seemed that I was the best speaker. The Futur, I connect with how your teaching and how you answer the questions I didn't even know I had. You don't leave me guessing what you meant when you teach. You explain everything. You stand out! I see you moving! as you put it at the end. From my heart to yours thank you.💜💚

On one hand, I love your dialog with the "customer", but I find in reality in my B2C (business to customer) conversations, my budget inquiries inspire the sounds of crickets, as they want me to give a price first, and their cards are kept close to the chest (as I would do in the reverse roll). I design for people's home spaces/residences. I know you do all B2B sales, where as your potential clients have a more tangible outcome, or goal, which is measurable. Sounds like I need to put my potential clients more at ease with the conversation up front and walk away if the necessary info is not given to me up front. Your comments would be welcome.
All in all, love your advice and I appreciate your dedication towards helping creatives. It is much needed. Thank you.

I’m not sure whether I fully understand the thing with saying “is it safe to assume that this is not important for you?”.
I think I am getting the idea but what if the client feels offended by that? As in “what do you mean?? Of course it’s important, that’s why I’m here”. That’s basically a great answer.. but what do you respond to that? I feel like I’d have to apologise in that situation 😅

    • @iamthekaverik
      @iamthekaverik 10 месяцев назад +2

Im no industry standard, but I'd say that a book might not help as much as reaching out to strangers who might have the job you're looking for, having a conversation/call with them and offering to help them.
      If definitely want a book,
      the 3 I'd recommend are
$100M Offers (to get clear on what you have to offer)
This is Marketing (to understand what exactly marketing is overally)
$100M Leads (to figure out how to use marketing)
again; IRL trying is probably better than just reading

What about for RUclipsrs from third world country like me. YT won't monetize here 😒

you might search for other platforms that people in your country use to get information and knowledge

I know a guy with 10K subs and 200 bucks revenue in a 1st world country
That might be a lot in some places, but the margin is low
that's like if 2 people out of a hundred gave 1 dollar each.
My point is, it's better to use social as a lead magnet to some other product or service or affiliate marketing
learnt this from RUclips Secrets by Sean Cannell from Think Media. I recommend that

YT itself won't but advertisers you can find everywhere

What is your channel about? Are you able to use affiliate links? Can you work with brands/companies? Can you sell you own services/products? RUclips monetization is a small piece of the pie.

Chris - I'd love a question around God being a designer - why do you believe in God and is a belief in God enough?

Why does it always have to be about money? I see your map and diagrams to making a ton of money. I see your portfolio reviews where you tell "young guns" to do this and that to conform so corporations would love them. What don't you teach them and us just to be creative.

Because the vast majority of creatives don't naturally have a logical business mind. We don't think in numbers. In order for us to keep doing the things WE LOVE, the reality is, we need money to continue to do so. Before following Chris and the Futur, I had developed skills on the creative space for nearly 3 years. Flat broke and frustrated, but keen to continue in the design/creative space, I knew I had to learn the business side. The more we learn how to get in front of the right clients, the more we get to work on incredible projects that really light us up. ❤
