Important note: at time of publishing THIS FEATURE ISN'T LIVE! I didn't realise until after the video was made, and I was even told this by the guys at Leonardo. But it will be coming soon, so definitely keep your eyes open :)
HOLY SHIT I HAVE BEEN REQUESTING THIS FEATURE FROM LEONARDO SINCE THEY HAD ALCHEMY UPSCALE. their alchemy upscale is really good but theres no prompt control, it just does its own thing. would be so amazing to have a magnific alternative. the 'upscale with prompt' thing is so cool but i aint paying that exorbitant price for it
Can we take a moment to recognise how far behind Adobe is in integrating USEFUL AI tools and processes? Adding detail when upscaling should be built in at least by now, considering it’s the most requested and sought after feature for all creative workflows.
Yeah, it's weird that such a massive company is snoozing on this stuff comparitively. In time it'll get there I think, but it wont be number one in the world of AI
I didn't know about this upscaler of Leonardo AI site, only stumbled upon it today when I went back to use their site for something else, it's incredible, finally we have a free and actually worthy and useful AI upscaler that is almost on par with Magnific, and I didn't know you could upscale it even further and gain so much more details like you showed in the video ending, amazing.
This is real-world powerful and useful. The team at Leonardo are crushing it. Gets you where you need to go without obstacles learning curve etc. and results and tools keep getting better and better. Even tho I only use it from time to time, I’m happy to give them a few quid each month. Not an advert, just honest opinion.
I agree, it's becoming the top platform I honestly believe - which is crazy since it is based on open source AI, jsut shows their understanding of how to package it to make it useable.
Thanks for the Info! Sadly, not available for the Apprentice/$12 tier. Maybe that'll change down the road after the beta release, or they'll keep it as an upper tier feature to encourage people to upgrade. Pity.
I've been using the Universal Upscaler for a while and the results are very impressive for a Beta app. I can't wait to see how far they can take it. I'm surprised that it is only costing you 30 credits; on my end a 1344x1792 image cast me 80 credits and and twice that cost me 180 credits!
I have worked with Krea, which works very similar to Magnific and to my surprise the eyes always look the same in all upscale images, and very similar to Leonardo's. Try to get an eye color other that this gray blue color, even with explicit prompting. You can't! I believe they all use the same model that is biased toward this look.
I just created an account with Leonardo (a free one for the moment) but I can't even get to the Upscale page you are showing in 0:19. I've been looking for it for 15 minutes and haven't found it. Is upscaling a feature that is only available to paying accounts? (I don't want to create any images in Leonardo, I just want to upscale images created with Midjourney...)
It hasn’t appeared on mine yet. Hopefully will show up soon. Trying not to pay for another upscaler. Plenty of free ones out there but they don’t upscale enough to get really good quality
I hear ya, more and more money adds up too quick. I think you could possibly get a couple out for free if it becomes available under a free account soon. It's still slowly rolling out by the looks.
Such a good question! So tried. I created some images and upscaled them twice with identical settings - I got slightly different results! So I imagine there's still a bit of a random seed / foundation it works from.
@@WadeMcMasterThanks for the answer, I'll keep an eye out ! In the meantime I'm using Krea AI, but the hands results are often wonky and the image is not always faithful to the original... Still good though, and free !
I think there's a maximum resolution you can feed it. I'm not quite sure what it is though but I've hard large images come back as too big. So i think it's less a case of how many times you can upscale= and more what original resolution it will work with. I still need to work out what that size is though.
@@WadeMcMaster Thanks for the reply sir. I like to make coloring page in MidJourney but the backgrounds tend to be blurry or out of focus. Hopefully with this upscaler it can make these types of illustrations sharper.
If I upscale for 24x36 at 300dpi. If someone wants a 12x10 do I need to re scale it again or is the big image good enough and printify can print smalled without resizing?
Yeah I'm not sure how this roll out seems to be working. I hope it's available for free users. It uses a lot of tokens but it could be really handy for people
I'm not on the beta yet, but may be soon. But it is rolling out slowly not sure what the go is. But it's really cool either way! I can't wait for it to hit everyone's accounts.

Just clarifying - it’s coming for all users, but right now just available for Artisan and Maestro. Everyone else should have it later this week 🙂
So how come you're using it ?
Just checked - it’s there now 🤩 - I’m on Apprentice (lowest paying tier)
@@brucekennedy5274 Hey Bruce, are you saying that Universal Upscale is available with the Apprectice Sub level ?

💯%
Adobe absurdly censored theeir generative AI in-painting so I wouldn't look to them being the leader on anything relative to AI.
@@cagnazzo82 Yeah, I suspect though it's because they only train on pre-existing Adobe Stock rather than the internet at large
They are not in a rush, they already have the market share so they are making their tools the best they can be.

This upscaler is incredible, I'm glad you enjoyed the discovery :) Have fun!
Thank you so much! Appreciate you using your tokens to show us for comparisons!
No problem! I try to show as much info as I can whilst cutting out the fluff so I'm glad you got some insight out that :) Thank you!
I second that, the clarity is insane!
It has already been released today. Your RUclips channel is probably the only one that discussed this feature before its release. Well done.
Awesome! Thank you for letting me know and for the compliment. I actually didn't intend on releasing the video before launch :S
where it is, I have not used Leonardo before, wanted to compare it to my topaz. But I can't find it in the interface.
Where is it released at? Not showing on the site.
I don't see this feature. When?
Old videos get new life, this is game changing.

So awesome! Will be using this bigtime Wade brah
Big UPS!
Thanks man! This is really damn cool. I still need to do a video on Magnific, so will need to do a comparison.
Such clear upscaling results! I think CGDream has something quite similar
Very nice :)
haha was about to say
Thank you once again. Learning a lot from you about Leonardo!
Glad I could help! I have more coming too :) thank you
It looks, great, can't wait to get my hands on this.
Yeah it's a lot of fun :)
Can't believe how clear old videos look now.
No more pixel soup, these photos are looking buttery smooth.
Such a game changer :)

Also a lot of higher paid members can't see it, so it must be slowly rolling out.
Whoa dude no way, pixels everywhere just merged together.

I wonder why that is... I'm still only using 30

Oh man that's interesting! The training just have leaned heavily toward that color. I hope that's getting fixed
I am comparing Leoanardo and Magnific really hard, because the latter is incredibly expensive. But man, what a results it yields. This look good too.
Yeah man, I am definitely keen on doing an indepth comparison. Also Krea AI apparently has the same style of upscaler so I thought about that too.
daaang. not in my leonardo account yet. hope they roll it out to us plebs soon. ;)
Oh man! I didn't realize it wasn't in everyone's account. Hopefully soon!
@@WadeMcMaster I figure out I could just type in the URL (guessed it) and it worked! woohoo!
You the goat thank you!
@ahmedn3555 /universal-upscaler after the standard url for a page in leonardo app
Yes please share the url
im so eager to try this out, its still not showing in mine. i hope they add a negative prompt, i dont see one here. would be handy
Yeah that would be great for avoiding weird artifacts. Hopefully it's available soon for everyone

OK, I can see it now in 0:33 in your video. There is no Universal Upscaler in my account... :(

This upscale option is not available to everyone yet.😢
Yeah, hopefully not far away.
is it dependent on a special plan? I don't have it.
No it's coming soon mate, hopefully not to much longer
Just checking where your "Edit A.I. Art in PhotoShop" video link is at? Will search the old fashioned way :p
My fault sorry mate, I had some distractions when I posted this. It's now in the description, but also here: ruclips.net/video/wKW8YEqnBUM/видео.html
Friend, The universal upscaler option no longer appears, now I only see the texture generation option
Yeah I think it's still rolling out, hopefully soon
Have you tried it with a batch sequence? Does it keep consistency?
Such a good question! So tried. I created some images and upscaled them twice with identical settings - I got slightly different results! So I imagine there's still a bit of a random seed / foundation it works from.
I can’t find it in Leonardo. Is it a paid feature ?
I don't think necessarily, but I don;t think everyone has access yet, which I'm only now discovering.

Is it even out yet?
Can't find it on the site?

I will definitely use this on my MidJourney images. Does anyone know the release date?
I wish I did, I don't know if they do necessarily as much as an idea of how long until they expect it to be ready

(0:10) That's nice and all, except it changed the eye color.
Yeah it's not perfect, but you could.possibly control that by adding a prompt
how many time we need to wait for have free credits ?
Should be daily mate :)
So, is this feature included in the free version of Leonardo?
Not yet mate, it hasn't fully rolled out yet

I don't think you need to resize, the image will be more than you need so I'd stick with it :)
Not able to find the option universal upscaler
It may not be available for you yet, but it is being rolled out over time by the looks
I use the free version of Leonardo. I have just looked - I see NO upscaler option. ????
I didn't realize but it appears it's still rolling out to people's accounts
Can you use motion on these?
Not sure! I'll need to try when I'm in my.office next
Looks amazing. Sadly I don’t seem to have it in the 10 dollar tier. 🤔
It does appear (which Im only learning now) that is still rolling out for some people but not everyone. Hopefully soon!
@@WadeMcMaster Good to know! thanks for the reply.
It looks like upscales are only available in the top-priced plan, is that correct?
Not sure what qualifies unfortunately. I'd say it's just taking time rolling out at this stage.
@@WadeMcMaster Ah it might be that. I could only see upscales on their $60 plan when I looked last night.
Yeah I'm not sure how this roll out seems to be working. I hope it's available for free users. It uses a lot of tokens but it could be really handy for people
I’ve never used Leonardo before, Is this a free feature?
This is still not available to most yet, but I would guess it will be available to try for free
not sure about Leonardo... would I be break TOS... if I upload a NSFW ai... image of my character and other things?
Not sure mate, Ive never tried
Thank you!
No problem, thank you!
Woot! 🎉
Pretty awesome! This is fun to throw images at
I stopped at 1.55 you didn't show it close up before you did the upscale so I don't SEE what you've done.
Smart move stopping before I zoom in lol.
This is nice...why don't MidJourney offer something like that too?
Midjourney are so awesome at some things, and so behind on others hahah. No idea mate!
I tried using Leonardo upscaler, but they want you to use 110 tokens to just do a 2X upscale, no thanks.
That's a lot, was it already a relatively large image?
I'am a paid member but i can't see this. Why?
I didn't realize, but it hasn't rolled out to everyone yet.
I don’t have this and I’m on the website
Apparently there's a lot of people this hasn't appeared for yet sorry

lol, its not live,:(

Basically Krea, same UI even.
I do think they both (and magnific) may be plugging in the same technology, which explains the similar UI.
And similar results @@WadeMcMaster
Not on my account and i've been a paid user for months. Ah well hopefully soon :)
Unfortunately it doesn't appear to have been rolled out for everyone yet.

WTH this upscaler did not showing in my side???
