He started out as receiver early in high school then switched to QB cause he was the best athlete on the team and they wanted the ball in his hands every play to make choice of run or throw. Didn't switch back to WR till college

Gotta look at the team as a whole when looking at production. Their o-line only has 1 drafted OL in last 5 years . Then add up down QB play dur to the OL. Then add in the depth chart of who was 1 , 2 and 3 reads above him.
It's amazing how much important information does not make it into these reviews. I just hope NFL scouts do a better job
I'm not sure if you read your comments, @stevesmithsr. Now that the panthers have drafted X, how do you see the utilizing Mingo with the addition of X to the roster. They seem very similar in stature. As the Pathers WR ( no shade to Moose) how do you see them on the field together? Thanks

9:32 this is the statement that makes this video. No one remembers who the SC QB was before Rattler. And even Rattler wasn't as consistent as any SC fan hoped for when he transferred here.
As a panther fan, gotta hope for the best, but i think he's definitely an upgrade from Mingo just the speed alone. With Theilen and Johnson getting the bulk of targets he's in a better spot than Mingo was coming in. Less immediate pressure to perform, and can return kicks while building on his game and learning from a couple vets. Kinda like the guy with the glasses on the left did when he was a kid lol. Also, i think Mingo will take a step forward in year 2. Bryce with a couple extra seconds to find guys as well as him having some nfl experience will make a big difference imo.
The high pick might be a little added pressure but i don't think it'll matter. Some wr screens like the old John Fox and 89 days, some reverses, line him up in the backfield and let him cook. If you can't make that size and speed work, you're doing something wrong as a coaching staff

I'm not saying leggett will be bad but the 3rd round would be far better IMHO for what iv seen on tape vs 33. He's not my favorite... I remember when alshon came out they said he dropped in the draft due to his weight fluctuation. Up and down.. think he was about 220 play weight. Got up to 235 in collages I see so much of the same
Alshon was a solid NFL receiver. Also different body types. You can tell X is a gym rat and he has natural genes.

@@WerdUp132 years. Xavier was down on the depth chart in 2022. Rattler gave us an all SEC WR in 2022 already but it was Juice Wells. He was injured all season and didn't play majority of it. Other experienced WRs had transferred out in off season or were injured. Xavier really saved us w Spencer
Malachi Corley is the man, top 4-5 prospect to me, bros balance is insane, and his build for a receiver is crazy, he plays to his size, constantly leveling corners and hardly getting tackled down out of bounds, superstar incoming…

Carolina had Rattler in 2022 and 2023. Rattler made 2 top all SEC WR each over 1000 yards. Juice Wells in 2022 who was injured most of last season and Xavier Legette. Our WR2 in 2022 was Jaheim Bell who was snatched up by Lincoln Riley in the portal. it's not surprising Xavier didn't have better numbers especially as he missed a lot the season prior

I really want the Patriots to pick him. Might be a reach in the early 2nd round but don't know if he'll fall to the 3rd. Might need to move back up to the mid/late 2nd round.
He might not last past the first 5-10 picks of the 2nd round if he does fall that far. He might be gon late first round.

I believe Legette would be a perfect pick up for a team with a number 1 receiver already on the team. He could learn from that number 1 receiver and not have all that pressure on him from the beginning. I do see him as being a future number 1 WR with experience.
Major key to his success was the qb play too. Spencer was only there for his most used season I do believe.

Not too many 220lbs WR’s that run a sub 4.4 40 in the NFL. XL is definitely an interesting and has the potential to be a special player or he can be a bust if he doesn’t land in a good situation and doesn’t have time to develop.
