The original one had 60% ilayaraja's outstanding music and bgm, 25 % of the great lyricist valli words and only 15% of SPB. Ilayaraja had composed stylish & subtle beats which only blends well with the most ancient language THAMIZH since THAMIZH language evolved from natural sounds. Even if some other singer would have sung that song, it would have been a BIG hit because of the SON OF THE THAMIZH SOIL - Ilayaraja on whom mother thamizh had showered her blessings and the maestro surely did not disappoint
The original version was sung by SPB, written by Vairamuthu, composed by Illayaraja in 1980.
The HIPHOP remix was made by Yogi B and Natchatra in 2008.
This was cover of that remix by Praniti in 2018...

Yogi B is one of the greatest influencers of rap and hip hop in south india if not THE greatest in whole of india. its a very stylish early 2000s style song , with lot of layers. you would have realised just two- one being the melody and the other being the rap, but the three raps done actually are by three different people with absolutely different voices, especially yogi B with his deep almost rick ross-ish voice. its really beatiful! please do consider this suggestion, you will surely not be disappointed, if you do like it let me know! i dont mind suggested more content that not only will be digestable to you as appreciation but instills within itself the authenticity of being Indian. thanks guys cheers!
