If I ever did air ride I would want it under the floor in the trunk just like you are talking about. One think to consider is if they shave the underside of that factory "floor" for clearance you may lose a bit of the structural integrity of that piece which could impact how much weight you can place in the trunk on top of that piece. Just something to think about as I'm assuming the reason that piece is the way that it is is to provide structure so its not just a thin piece of wood, plastic, particle board etc... that is supporting the weight of the cargo in the trunk.
Yeah I’ll talk to the installer about to get some reassurance. Two of my buddies have the same set up and they never mentioned any issues with the trunk and I know they haul track tires back there with no problem. But I do see what your talking about.
I just got my airlift installed to my hellcat. I kinda wish I knew about keeping the struts and adding just the bag to keep the damper sensor. I keep getting the notification every time I turned on my car. Then I’m having problem with my rear driver side, there’s a small leakage. I had it park earlier today and I came back, the psi on that rear driver side dropped down from my preset 50 psi to 0 psi.
Yeah I found out bout just have the bag over the strut from another hellcat and SRT 392 in my area that have that set up. Dude see things like that make me nervous about getting it. Beside that issue you had with the bag, how do you like being on bags?
@@DavidinHD1 I just got it installed today, it looks kool and all but the worrisome weighs more. The wow factor is thrown on the side until I get this issue fix haha. It not a cheap car, not a cheap suspension kit and not a cheap installation. At this point it just sucks lol.
@@are6893 dude I feel your pain, there still is a part of me that says don’t do it lol. But I do want to lower the car but I don’t really want to do springs, so ima try the airlift and hopefully everything works out. My installer has actually done a bunch of chargers so it makes me feel better about the install
