But on a challenger and charger I think they’re good the way they’re definitely manual transmission gonna affects them so bad besides the fact that they’re already heavy cars so it’s just gonna make it more difficult.
Yeah my scat challenger is manual pushing 760hp but still a pain from a dig against the automatics ( I think I just need to find an empty road and see what works) 1st gear seems too short, starting 2nd is nicer but a bit slower off the line, then i worry about dropping it too hard and breaking something. Fun as hell though.
Manual used to be the shit from a dig purely because autos sucked and with a stick you had more control and more gears. Now that none of those things are true anymore, it's all about fun and what you like. Auto's have unfortunately taken over drag racing long ago. I had 2 '90 model 5.0s back in the day. Both 5 speed. Drove an automatic 5.0 one time on a test drive, felt more like a Crown Vic than a Mustang. The difference between transmissions then and now is stunning.

So far I've never been assigned an Auto though. Just a few temporary trips. But in my line of work, local delivery, in Dallas traffic, I'd still take an auto in a heartbeat. Personal vehicles, I still agree with you. Although I'm way past the thrill of daily driver manual shifting. Certain purposes, hell yeah they'll still always have a use. I asked my flight instructor if it's still useful to learn to fly in a *tail dragger* being that modern (commercial use) planes are all nose wheel steer. She asked me how I learned to drive, in an automatic or manual vehicle. I told her in an old 4 speed Ford Ranger. She asked "So are you glad you learned early to shift gears early on? Or do you think it was a waste of time?" I was like "OK, point taken" 👍

I wish they would, but certifying a manual transmission in any lineup is expensive. They might also have restrictions in the transmission tunnel which would cost more to develop :/
Its more of a how much money would they lose to make xxx amount of manual chargers. Even with most sports cars the automatic is more bought over than the manual. Some companies lose money due to making manual models of cars yet no oje buys them
You can run 315s on a 20 x11. I have the Factory Reproductions FR77 on the rear of mine in 20 x11 w +22 offset. You will have about .5 inch of clearance on the rear shocks.
I've often thought of that put it in a 6-speed in my Hellcat I hope you go into more depth on that what all is involved and who the best person is to talk to🙏🏽

You can literally build it your self with adapters they sell all the parts aftermarket just by a tremec 6 speed and connect it to your Hellcat if you have a Hellcat or just take the tremec that was in the challenger and bolt it up to your Hellcat Charger it’s that simple it’ll bolt right up
It has been done before but not on that body style. There’s a few 06-10 model manual swapped chargers out there but even still this thing is one off for sure. Love it!

The reason they are making mostly only automatic now is completely the people's fault. People say they would only buy manual this manual that, but when it comes time to actually buy the car...they buy automatic.

Also it makes me my skin crawl to hear people say well I almost bought a manual but I got the auto.

Interesting, when I was a kid I was all about turbo power, like didn't like superchargers at all. Mostly to do with the limited power you can get with them. As I got older I started to appreciate the superchargers. Sure, they don't make as much power as turbo, but the instant torque and that whine really kinda makes up for it. So I ended up picking up a c32 amg to go along with my gr supra, and it's been fun modding it. Even the whine on that smaller motor is intoxicating and a looker.

It makes me wonder why he swapped the whole dashboard with the Challenger's. It would've been cool to see the stock Charger dash and modify the center console only.
He had to get the electronics in the CAN Bus to work right. All the modules like the instrument cluster are married together via coding. If one thing is missing the car won't run or run properly.
I think the car is just so big and has that wide stance it fools you as a very aggressive Car 💯 . They just ride so comfortable that the same set up in a Dodge Dart it would have gave you that very aggressive feel you were looking for 💯 , and this is a good Daily Driver on Pump Had !?
