They’re just having fun and being friends like normal kids (granted they’ll be in NO TURNING BACK kinda trouble when they are found), but they still never catch each other’s names lol. Maybe there’s a scene where they both relate to each other due to Will having to watch out for his siblings’ backs and Danny caring for all the younger kids in the orphanage. And then they are found and dragged away both terrified oof. But we find that while Will and Danny having been bonding, Katie and Oliver have been just getting more and more angry with each other and becoming more distant. At the end, Oliver and Katie probably hate each other and never want to see the other again, and Danny and Will claim they will “never forget this” just to be ironic to the audience lol. I know this is a more serious topic, but hey, maybe the kids can be kids for a few rare minutes of joy
