    Northeast Ohioan here! I ordered your February sock set (great color) and Mimosa Cardamom hand balm which has a wonderful smell! It also blends into my hands quickly. Thank you for quick delivery too. Glad your husband's surgery went well.

    ‘We Are All Regulars Together’ - your retreat slogan! 😂I love your Wildflower Tee. I am a half and half type of knitter- I refuse to do a tubular cast on/sewn bind off and always use German short rows but I will try a few new things.

    Oops meant to add I'm intrigued by the " e-loop increase" as I'm learning to knit socks and increases are my current challenge. Your videos are helpful.

    Knitters are the best people! Thanks for the tutorial. I've never seen an e loop increase. Ill have to try that. I'm finishing up a sweater in fingering and silk, mohair. I did swatch for a cotton sweater. I have to have my swatch done before I get done with my current sweater so I can cast on my new WIP. Love your episodes! Your girls are so cute.

    I can totally relate to wanting a new project when there's something major going on. I think we've become so great at our craft, that if it's not challenging, our mind can get back to the knitty gritty of life. But when it's new, time flies by as we delve into this new puzzle of a pattern. I'm glad to hear your hubby is well! - All the best, Kimberly

    OMG, you spoke to me at the end of this episode! I am near the end of knitting a blanket for my grandson for his birthday and I forgot to slip the first stitch to keep a neat edge. Now I’m thinking it’s not good enough to give to him. He’s 8 years old - I really don’t think he will notice but he will feel the warmth and love that went into every stitch. Thank you for reminding me what’s really important! I just love your podcasts!!! Oh, my mother was from Lockland, OH and all the years growing up we would go there for vacation to visit my grandparents. Love Ohio to this day.❤

    I may be a color dominance girlie, but I am like you: I don't catch floats. That's the fun thing about knitting. We can care about details or not, we can learn new things or have comfort knitting. I have knit with really long floats and it's been totally fine, no snags. I think I prefer a long float over worrying about a color popping through. I think this is why people use ladder back jacquard. Maybe I will try it one day :)

Just thinking how I wrote in my story about Lorri, which got you interested in signed up for the Arkansas Yarn Co retreat & then told Lorri that we had to go to yours! I love extending out IRL yarn friends! ♥♥♥️

    Hi Devin! I have made the Soho Top and I love it, although I had to severely modify it making the size 5. I read many of the comments from others who made it, widening the stripes and making the arm holes smaller! I also made it in Coboo yarn and it made a wonderful summer Tank! The Aquae Tank is a beautiful summer tank as well ( I was inspired by Noble Character Crafts), and I made it in the same Coboo yarn! Can’t wait to see what you decide to make ❤

    I make Buckeyes every Christmas for my oldest son who is now a grown man with children of his own. I give him his own batch in a Christmas tin that he doesn't have to share. It's become our personal tradition.

    Hi Devin! Thanks again for knitting and sharing your Wildflower. I REALLY love it, and I think I feel the same way about all of them that I see! I do appreciate your support. I didn't comment last week, though I thought about it many times, like when I was driving and could not comment. Here is my question: on your trip to Florida, did you all stay at Ave Maria? I have been hearing good things about the college, or maybe it is a university. I am not sure.

    I also heard Arne and Carlos say that color dominance is not a thing in Norwegian knitting, and they don’t worry about it at all. They think it’s unnecessary. 😀

    I’ve been spinning some lovely super washed BFL dyed by Three Irish Girls purchased at The Net Loft in Cordova Alaska several years ago. I was hoping to get some more roving from TIG but looks like they aren’t still in business. Guess I’ll need to get some roving and do it myself. What can I do with only 4 oz of yarn?

    Did your husband have a herniated disc? I had surgery for that and was immediately pain free (though stiff) and 6 years later still doing great. I hope he continues to recover well.

    • @knittymcpurly1549
      @knittymcpurly1549  6 месяцев назад

      Nope, not herniated. He has osteoarthritis in his back and bone spurs were messing with the nerve. They got rid of the spurs and the pain went too! 😊

    Talking about people at fibre festival s I live in Ed and went to the eyf in 2019 now I am disabled with bad back and use a Walker and in the cafe most seats had been taken but there was a table with four seat s two people sitting and their bags on the other two I asked if I could have a seat and they very reluctantly moved their packages very unfriendly they were from Austria they told me when I tried to spark conversation they were very rude and I was really insulted to be treated this way with other knitters and after all it is my city they were in just a wee extra am 70 on 20th March yikes how did I get there🤣
