NJ spearfisherman here. Might take a trip out to visit my buddy in Seattle in a few weeks, and we might hit up Westport to go surfing. What are the conditions like in early October, either around Seattle or near Westport? Is it worth flying a gun and gear out with me? Thanks!
Westport is pretty spotty. My buddy and I can’t seem to nail down a solid pattern for good visibility. Around Seattle you’d be ok. I got a 19lb cabezon just north of Seattle near the Edmonds ferry in early 2020. If you can go out as close to Neah bay as you can. That’s the best.
@@williammink2109 there’s a dive park where no fishing is allowed on the north side of the Edmonds ferry. But a little north of that outside of the park is where my buddy and I both got our cabezon. Just a saltwater fishing license should be all that’s needed.

@@tim42310 thanks. Looks like Edmonds has some regulations and requires a permit. Is that common around Washington?

1:30 why did you do that jellyfish like that 😂😭
Jellyfish don’t feel. Stings on the face kinda suck. Cheers
