I bought these knives from Discount Cutlery. I contacted them after the video and they said their return was 30 days. But they did ask for a picture of the lock. I sent them a link to this video and they said they will send me a new knife and check the liner lock before they send it.
Long story short, I'm happy with the service from Discount Cutlery
I think Jake at CCE did a review of this brand. Thanks for reminding us about them. Looks like a great knife for mods. Like the Opinel knives. Very happy to see you making videos again!
When you contact them, ask them to send you a shipping bar code. That's what Amazon & Walmart does. They email you one of the square codes. You then take your package to UPS or wherever who scans the code from your phone or print out, and that prints up a label for them to slap on the package of items to be returned. My guess is that knife company or retailer has a similar system. Especially if you paid for shipping.
Morning Savant,
Yes, I might need to get an Opoinel just to have in the collection. But, as usual, I go out of the mainstream.
I did contact the retailer and they said they will send out a new knife and check the lock before sending
That sheepsfoot is particularly nice, so it's great that the seller made it right! Thanks Rusty!
Welcome back! Nice, euro-centric collection! Reminds me of the Tubes in Zaragoza Spain. Hundreds of tiny shops, scores of little knife venders...
Thanks Kanda. You truly have lived a full life. Walking the Tubes in Zaragoza and more. It makes sense that you would have seen knives like MAM there. These knives not only come from a different part of the world, but a different time too, in my opinion.
man i love sheepsfoot blade shape so much i still dont have one tho i but im sure i will one day god bless brother ill see you in the next one
This brand is very affordable. Like under $15 affordable.
Love that sheepsfoot! It’s amazing they have been in business so long. Great story to go along with these.
MAM has been around a long time. These knives a good for what you need a knife to do. They don't excite me with fancy action. But the blades will cut.
Super wobbly with agregious play but if you use the knife within the scope in which waa prescribed to the knife then it will last quite a bit. Just don't cut anything much tougher than air
Agreed. It's not a hard use knife, but it will work as long as you know the limits.
Hell yeah! Love this brother. Verry cool idea! Very cool knives. A little strop and good to go.
I agree. Satisfied with the edge especially for the money.
inox is short for inoxidável (Portuguese) which means stainless.
inoxydable in French
inoxidable in Spanish
inoxidabil in Romanian
Thank you kindly dear friend. I have since learned it basically meant stainless, but I appreciate you sharing this. Especially in all those languages.......
Good review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Thank you Michael. God bless you too! 🙏
Always interested in seeing how the rest of the world slices it!
Been missing the “Far Side” too! So glad to see and hear you back again.
Thought you may have been abducted by Space Aliens or giant plastic peanuts from the Far Side.
Thanks Tai, it's nice to chat with some friends from the channel again. Hope all is well on your side of the world.
Oh, and getting abducted by anything from the Far Side would be super cool. Especially their cows!!
@@rustyminer NYC .....wondering if "Open Carry" will also apply to knives, hatchets and swords!
@@bmoviebmovie I don't know. It would be great.
I don't like to talk politics, but I am for gun ownership.
Thank goodness I can carry whatever I want and if that changes. "I sold all my guns" if anyone asks.
I hesitate to do gun videos because I don't want any records of what I have.
Awesome..welcome back!
Thanks my friend. The knives from around the world get a little cooler than these ones, I have one that I really like, I'll show it off down the road.
@@rustyminer awesome..I’ve been into/collecting knives 40 years..I’ve seen a few lol I’ve been meaning to get a MAM..I look forward to your videos on this
@@TBEDC These MAM's are OK. They don't get my heart racing, but the blade shapes are really pretty nice, in my opinion. The wood is light and also done well.
I probably won't do a follow up video on the MAM sheepsfoot with the liner lock issue as the retailer is supposed to be mailing me a new one, but maybe I will mention it in a future video.
40 years is a long time. Got a couple favorite knives that come to mind?
@@rustyminer I like traditional knives a lot so my favorite is the Sodbuster pattern..I like the Canoe pattern as well and the Equal end pattern…love the history too..
@@TBEDC I had to watch a RUclips video for a sodbuster. Familiar with the canoe. I'll checkout equal end. I do like a Buck 110 and 55. I also like a barlow and trapper. But maybe that refers to blade choices and not handle shape?
