Oh my gosh, this is right up my alley. I’m going to be doing Plein Air live and I also am learning to abstract the landscape. ❤️
Yes, if there is a secret to "realistic" painting, that's it. Some call it simply the "design" in a well thought out composition. It's hidden often and you have to look hard to find it, but it's there, in all of nature. Not sure what "pure" abstract/modern painting is, maybe it's just an inability to draw well, which, as everyone knows, is the foundation of all "representative" art.
Hello from beautiful Arizona! 🌵
where are you, I'm in Oro Valley with fabulous views of Pusch Ridge from my patio!! :D
This is a great visual explanation about value . I love it 😊, greetings from Chicago.
❤Great topic. Well done!😊
Love it, thank you.
The most enjoyable subject abstracted landscapes
So much information! Thank you.
Love it ! There is more power in that color value. You can get more feeling expressed in a painting. Thank you for describing color warmer and cooler colors in relevance to colors sitting next to each other.
I'm watching from Hyderabad in India. Thank you for these videos that you put up in the internet that has so much of teaching for a learner artist. Thank you Eric for those interruptions that are actually bringing out more explanation.
What does he look at? Not an object or person, or landscape. He is looking at himself. A perfect example of how self absorbed people paint.
inspiring and instructive
Thank you!
Good one, Eric and Scott, "abstraction" and "garish" color, is not "my cup of tea"; but as with all art, it's good to get a different "perspective" from time to time. That, to keep your art from becoming as "stale" as week old bread, ..but even with that you can still make some good turkey stuffing, LOL.
BTW, Eric, I love the "shorter" (30 min.) vids, for some good info, packed into a nice "chewable morsel"!!;D
Great video colour is my thing to
