Wow, your hand reminded me of a hand I had as it was the almost the exact same flop "Qd7s2c. I had 2 black Queens. Turn was 7s, All the money went in on the turn. River was 7d and Villain turned over Qh7h. Wasn't playing YOUR stakes obviously but it was a punch in the gut at the time especially because this guy had already been sucking out on me all night, and cold-called my 3-bet preflop with that hand. Also all of the install raiser's money went in on the turn as well with JhJd as he was a fish. Seeing that flop (the safest possible top set a person could flop with QQ) just kinda triggered me. :) (I apologize for the bad beat story.) “May all your cards be live and your pots be monsters.” RIP Mike Sexton
@@KardSharp I think it's great that Rick got clean and now he's helping others get off the junk. Pretty f'ing cool. Also, when Rick's sober, he's a pretty good player. Way above average and good enough to hang with high stakes wizards (Live, of course).
Yeah, my bad. First off, I was reminded that we had raised the blinds to 2000/4000 not that it makes much of a difference but I didn’t open… Rick did. I popped it to 40k.
I’m fact I’m the one who reminded Molly of that hand ans pretty much every other hand that was featured in the movie. The hands just didn’t match the scenes
Rick Salomon reminds me of those childish naive players on line that keep pushing their stack ALL IN with utter garbage, just because they are the disruptive kind and also have the cash to do so, and show off, basically he's an idiot player. Rick is no poker pro at all, he is a whale of a fish whose luck will run out eventually, I really hope so anyway. He plays like a baby who usually plays with no viable poker hand, but he has to win someway, somehow, in anyway... but of course minus the real poker skill.
Respectfully, sounds a bit like sour grapes Paul. Rick has one skill in poker that matters above all others. A keen sense of “Game Selection”. He’s probably the winningest poker player alive today if you are measuring the game by what it was designed to be measured by: cash winnings.
Nice Houston. Mollys game is one of the best movies. Thanks for sharing
The best bottom dealer in town calling the dealer a bottom dealer......"fking party magician" that was the dialogue of the movie for me lol

Bad Beats will always be there! At least they make for great stories! lol
How many players do you think go “missing” from playing with markers?
Not many. Truth is there’s no upside to “ending” a marker. Not unless it’s an issue that’s about to be turns over to the feds. Very rare.
Great story Houston!
Thanks Denver!
Is there a french translation of your book ? If not, I'll buy the english version ! Love your channel
Not yet my friend! But I will look into it! Thanks for your support!
@@KardSharp how many pages is the book ? I could give it a try haha
@Battlegroundinho 200 pages it was a fun read, highly recommended it
@@harison7778 thank you, 3 years later, dont even remember the vidéo, I have to rewatch it 😂
movie was wrong about the movie hand, she said he bluffed allin on with two pail
That hand happened. But wasn’t the one that happened with me and Rick.
didn’t know you could bluff on the turn when action was over on the flop when they already had got it all in 4:22
He was “gonna bluff” but picked up a gutshot.
Happy Anniversary
Baahaha!!
Losing to a gut shot on the turn is always the worst. I've never understood why someone would make such a crazy bet.
In Ricks case, that particular night he was out of his mind on cocaine. Lol
@@KardSharp that's amazing! I love it.

He was obv thinking about when he was Chocka Block up Paris Hilton.
@@MaximusMerideus someone just told me they saw Rick win a sick 800k + pot on the new high stakes poker reboot.
Do you still play poker?
Not like I used to. But I am doing something big in the poker space that eill be announced soon!
Wow cool story to share!!
Thanks my friend
this hand ruined this guy's life and the sick part is rick probably doesn't even remember it lol
Rick Remembers it well. He's a good friend. But yeah... It sucked! lol
I’d say the financial crisis is really what ruined him
2008 collapsing on me like a ton of bricks didn’t help.
One thousands two thousand and Houston opens to 40k….huh?

Who was the brunette you said was the most beautiful brunette you'd ever seen?
I'll never tell! ;-)
@@KardSharp 🤣. My man..
😜@@saint_play
you raised 20X preflop?
It sure what you are talking about? But at that point I think the blinds were 2000/4000
The movie hand was a completely different hand that happened in our game. A hand I wasn’t involved with but I was there when it happened.

Rick salomon is an absolute poker legend
@@KardSharp 100% agree. You don’t have to be the best player in the world, just the best player at the table
Not a gut shot
ya it was ??
@@mylesstrickland9956 I meant … no not a gut shot?
@@brentbyrer7827 lol. Got it. Yeah... He picked up the gutter on the turn and hit it on the river to crush my soul. lol.
Lol nonsense
