Info about Monetization recently came out. There are cosmetics able to be earned for free and the battlepass for Season 0 is $4.90 USD. That's half the price of a normal season which would be $9.80 and come with 10 skins and other cosmetics like MVP animations. Also, once the pass is bought, it doesn't expire and come back for progression so no FOMO.

I did see ! I’ll never love free to play prices but for a free to play game, this is probably as good as it gets !
