Wouldn't it make sense to have a national registration? There are dozens of ways to make that work, and that would make it more difficult for states to unilaterally purge rolls.

This is fascinating. I was a Montana born, raised and registered to vote. I voted absentee when I went to college in Colorado, then returned to Montana and then joined the military and voted absentee at every assignment I had while on active duty. I retired and stayed in Texas, got my license and registered to vote in Texas. I never gave it a thought to cancel my registration in Montana. And I voted in Texas ever since. I am glad this law was challenged and is booted. I am appalled my the continuing republican tactics to meddle with voting people who aren’t likely to vote the way they ( the republicans want). Texas is the worst…..thinking of moving to Colorado, when at least I have a chance my vote will mean something

We have new neighbors from Texas and they said they literally feel like they ESCAPED from there. When you look at their gun laws, Guv Abbutt, Cancun Cruz, their animal shelter situation and the billions of feral hogs that are roaming into neighboring states destroying property and spreading disease, I think anyone who chooses to stay there as an example of the democratic process deserves an award.

As soon as it was issued, I took my husband's death certificate to the county to be assigned probate/executor. The office happened to be on the same floor as the voting offices. I popped in to show them that he had died. They kindly. Told me that they already had removed him from the rolls. I guess that in NM, as soon as a death is registered, the voter registration is removed. Nice.
We should not have to be registered to vote; we should be REQUIRED to vote.

Check check check your registration! I had multiple surgeries in the end of 2022 and most of 2023. I checked and even though I was on automatic mail in ballot for 12 years I was shown inactive! CHECK CHECK CHECK YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION 💙🗳️🇺🇸🙌🙌🙌

Arkansas also tried to deny voter registration at the DMV.
The Department of Finance and Administration says the state will send over 60,000 letters to Arkansas voters who must verify their addresses after a tech issue.
I got one on the 1st. Made sure to call both state and local. Nothing was wrong with my registration as I knew there shouldn't be.

As a military family we've moved 10 times in 20 years. I couldn't imagine adding this to our to do list. In fact, I appreciate how easy states have made it to update our voter registration.

Dear Marc, thank you for everything you do tirelessly for the people of this great country. It's about time to say goodbye to the 20th and embrace the 21st with a modern constitution which is more in line with the nation we are today.
This bologna started in KS (Kobach). It cost taxpayers plenty. They “caught” a few retirees, none who had cast more than one ballot each. The only unqualified voters (1) was a man who served in the US military, but was not a citizen. He mistakenly, but honestly believed his serve qualified him to vote. No races were adversely affected. Waste of $$$

On our registration form in Montana, there is a section to indicate if the voter is registered in another county/state. We are now a super majority of maga's mostly. Voter suppression is supreme in the state, in every county. I am an election judge and have been for 9 years. YES some J6 players are from Mt. It is a mini trump nation. And scary.
We need this to happen in Texas to stop AG Ken Paxton from suppressing votes.
