Sir, current rules of Territorial Army has changed. Now after selection you don't get Lieutenant rank directly. You have to get trained in OTA for 6 months as a gentleman cadet(with POP) then you will be posted in an unit. No other sector will leave you for 6 months which is a big issue. Territorial army is suitable for self employed people. The most interesting thing about Territorial army is that on the first day, you are a company commander( which a regular army officer becomes after 7-10 yrs of service) in the rank of lieutenant.

I turned 40 this year, can I still apply as I heard in SSB some of the candidate even when they were 41 were rejected as the reason given was they could be beyond 42 when they join their units. Please can anyone advise
