This worked! Thank you. Been having issues with reflective lines on my glasses after cleaning them with a microfiber cloth. After washing my glasses with warm water and soap, I just blow dried the glasses. It's super clean with no reflective lines. Thanks again!
Glad it worked!
Thank you
You're welcome
Until the industry makes AR coatings more robust they are just a nuisance
They are designed to make you buy new glasses every 2-4 years.
i miss my old glasses that i could just wipe clean. anti reflection sucks
I echo that.
I will try the soap. Been using the spray the Optometrist gave me. My lenses are smudgy. Will definitely use soap next time.
Good luck!
Beautiful and smart!
What type of soap?
I despise the anti reflection. I need access to a well stocked kitchen to clean my glasses!? Who thought that was a good idea?
It's like the transition, it the least reactive on hot summer days....I mean WHAT? Cause that's not like the time I would find it the absolute most useful.
What kind of soap we must avoid? Dish soap has aggressive components
I second this.
Hi just got new glasses and I was trying to fix my temples by putting the temples in warm water first and hot steam from the water fogged my glasses, and I didn't realize that hot steam was bad, I was just wondering if that damaged my lenses coating though I don't see really any change to the glasses? Would the damage be visible? I just got them yesterday and I am just worried because I do not know
Hi Jason, if you damaged the lenses you would see cracking or spider veins in the lenses. If the lenses look good you should be fine.
Hi, I was wondering why you can't clean your lenses when they are dry? I read online the reason and now I forget and can't seem to find the web page anymore. If you could help with this question it would be greatly appreciated.
Having dirt on the lenses could leave some scratches on the lenses if cleaned when dry. Hope this helped!
@@RXSafety thnx it did, have a great day.
They assume you are rinsing them, so any hard larger bits that can scratch will wash off. They don't want you just fogging them with your breath either. They refuse to spell out the exact reason because they think people are to dumb to understand and give incomplete instructions instead.
Very useful tips on this video - thanks! The presenter looks stoned out of her mind though LMAO
Great, glad it was helpful! And I can assure you I wasn't haha.
@@RXSafety I’ll take your word for it!
I am interested in the anti glare not being put on my lenses, since it costs more and can easily craze if you live where it is super hot in summer. So I'd love to know how to take that junk off- permanently.
Hello there! Glasses can be ordered from us with no Anti-Glare coating on them, we also have a lens replacement service if you're interested in that. Otherwise a quick google search will give you some DIY techniques for removing the coating.
Is it healthy to do this everyday?
Hi Ebenezer Bediako, thank you for watching. :) As long as you clean your glasses the right way, it is ok doing it everyday. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Why are these AR coatings fragile. Like i literally got my new glasses a month ago but already observed some horizontal micro scratches on the lenses. Can't these coatings be installed somewhere inside the lenses or idk?
Hi Little Meow, thank you for watching. :) AR coatings can only be applied to the back and/or front of the lenses, and they indeed demand a more strict care and cleaning routine. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
@@RXSafety 'only'? Huh? what else is there besides the back and front?!
1:29 Can't use these methods on my coated glasses. My tap water removed the coating over time on several pairs. Just use spray cleaner your doctor provides.
We also have a bunch of spray cleaners rx-safety.com/product-category/accessories/cleaning-products/
I am sure I saw this girl somewhere
on youtube , anyway ty
I have pair of warby parkers. It just made it worse. Wish I hadn't have tried to remove coating. If you have warby parkers DONT USE THIS.
The video shows how to clean your lenses with Anti Reflective coating, not how to remove the coating. After cleaning the lenses with water and soap, the coating should not be removed.
