One Skill I have a question. Can you add clickable links to an existing video? Say, for instance, I have a ppt slide show I turned into an mp4 video. can I come back an add clickable links or in there away I can add them prior to creating the mp4? Can you please advise sir.

In order to make a video be ongoing in several slides, I did following: add a video → Animation Pane → Effect Options → Effects → Stop playing → After # slides. But that way the video was always in the front, and I could do nothing to have anything (text, shape) over the video. This is a much much better way! Thanks!)))

Thank you for this wonderful video! Please be advised, that grouping objects in a powerpoint slide only works if you use blank slides and create text boxed / image frames yourself or, as you did, copy it elsewhere and insert it. It does not work with any other layout that "blank", the grouping feature will be grayed out.
Very great trick. Been looking all over internet how to run video across slides. If you make a separate slide, the video will cover all the text and animation. This is the best method in the world. Thank you.

I've just tested, you can actually add audio of your choice together with video background (if it's only a video without music) and for some reason I thought it would be impossible, but it's not.

I can see where this can be very helpful and fun. Only thing I had to change my animations to start with previous and at the end of the one before it where I see you all of yours at the same place. That made mine all show up and disappear at the same time. But this was really good to know. Thanks!

Mate you do some of the most amazing PPT stuff I’ve seen.
For this one i was delighted at the beginning but then half way through …well .. you disappoint me my friend… you can do much better …. I want to see how we can have multiple slides with morph transitions with a same video background .. if you know what I mean … with that you simply take it to next level

Hi, thanks for the cool videos. I'm just wondering if working on Office 2016 (that's what I have) would make the slide show behave differently or is it something that can be adjusted. I managed to follow all your steps and got it to work but when going into slide show, I have to click to start the video, then I use the arrow keys to control my text in and out. Also how long was your video? I had a short video which I looped. If you think you can solve this issue I would be grateful. Where are you from by the way? Thanks again!

is there any way to copy over the animations within the slide to the group?
all the animations appear to get lost once i put the slide into a group and move it over to the single slide

How you export it as a video clip from power point
After grouping the slide,the video can not be send backward and play also if video starta then content of slide is hide.

This is a fantastic video. I am trying to make this work with a course that I am working on, but cannot seem to find the selection pane. Where do I find this? And are you using the latest version of Powerpoint?
Also I assume is I want to have the animations pop up at SPECIFIC time during my presentation that I can do this too.

Hi :) thanks for your question, to find Selection Pane: click on "Home" tab > go to "Editing" section > click on "Select" > and here you will find "Selection Pane". I am using Office 365 (more info in the video description). Good luck :)

Next I´m trying to use group function from arrange ->group objects, but it´s not active. all the rest functions are black (active), not group objects... Why? What should I do different? Thanks for watching and leaving a comment Annika Metsala 😁👍 sometimes I face this problem too, make sure you are starting to create your slide from a blank slide (do not use any placeholders), because I have noticed PowerPoint does not allow to group placeholders with other objects

This title is very misleading. This is not putting a video on multiple slides, it's just a time-consuming workaround to move multiple slides to one slide that has been possible for at least a decade.

I can't group two pictures, don't allow me to group them.
Groups can’t contain placeholder objects. If your image was put into a placeholder object, it can’t go inside a group. Try recreating your pictures as “normal” pictures.

Hi :) thanks for the question, in PowerPoint just right click on your logo, choose Save as Picture, choose file type .png, it will have transparent background
