  • From the producers at www.motionwors... - this tutorial talks about the challenges and pitfalls of trying to use motion backgrounds across multiple slides in PowerPoint.
Although PowerPoint is great for placing text on video for a single slide, problems occur when trying to loop a video and change the text. We recommend worship presentation software such as the those listed on our site.

My church has asked me to help out with creating presentations in propresenter. My first impression having watched a number of RUclips tutorials is that it is far too complex. We like to sing songs and lyrics appear on the screen at church. But surely there is a source somewhere where all this work of creating lyrics has already been done. If that's the case, then simply importing a song video with lyrics into Microsoft PowerPoint should be easy. Why do we wish to reinvent the wheel?

Hello! The newest version of ProPresenter is far more user friendly. Take a look at our ProPresenter series: ruclips.net/video/QjfBtce-g7k/видео.html -- note that you can automatically import lyrics from CCLI, and in fact an entire setlist from Planning Center. This is exactly what you're describing, and we plan to expand our tutorials to include this functionality.

do you recommend another software if I already have created the video with lyrics and just want to be able to cue the video live?

Hi there! We typically don’t recommend using PowerPoint, though this video is for those who are currently using it. For live presentation we generally prefer ProPresenter 7.
